but with an asterisk for the Lions game

No asterisk necessary. The Lions had three chances, couldn’t get it done. If the refs call tripping on the correct team with 2:05, at best the Lions get the ball back with maybe :40 seconds left and 0 timeouts with an entire field to go and possibly down two scores, not 7.

I think the Packers COULD easily pull the upset - Dallas' offense has not looked great for a while now. 394 total yards against the Eagles, but only 9 points in the second half and they gave up 7 on a scoop and score. 195 yards and 10 points in Buffalo -- total abomination. 242 yards and 20 points at Miami. 323 yards and 20 points in a miracle win against the Lions at home. Then they run it up with 440 and 38 against Washington, but we've seen this before (think Wildcard game in Tampa last year). The offense is basically just Prescott and Lamb, and if either has a bad day...

I just wasn't ready to pick both the Packers and the Rams. Plus, I have obvious bias in the Dallas game, so trying to correct for that.

Possible yes, easily? No

I didn't adjust either team for defensive scores, because I am lazy. But interesting. Guessing Dallas has more defensive scores.

Bland set the record for pick 6's in a season so that's a safe assumption

I think for what you said the packers can pull it off. Plus they went into Detroit short handed and smacked the lions who Dallas just had issues with and frankly they should’ve lost. My biggest issue is I’m not sure how Jordan love reacts to his first playoff game and it being on the road. I’d love had previous playoff experience I’d be more willing to say they could. I think the rams are bettered suited and match up well with the lions.

Not likely, he’s said recently he’s Happy in Austin and Ewers has been expected to return since Nov.

A real goodbye tribute to bill belichick

Yep.

This is the most annoying thing about Sirianni. Reporters will literally see if they are or aren't in an hour. The injury report will also say to what level.

This isn't competitive advantage.

The NFL having Schefter pump up that tripping penalty like some scandal to cover for their idiocy was hysterical.

If they are going to know in an hour why bother asking?

As per usual, Steratore had it correct.  The way the rule was being applied at the time, the player had to maintain possession through contact with the ground through the catch.  I knew in the moment it was an incomplete pass, and the referee got it 100% correct.

lol

That was a catch.  Ground can’t cause a fumble rule should have been applied.    He totally had possession before he hit the ground, got 2 steps in, etc

That's not how it was being applied at that time.

I don’t disagree with your statement but it was a ghost call on the wrong team. Hutchinson tried to trip the running back and DAL was penalized.

Even if it was a catch it wouldn't have mattered because the Packers were just going to march downfield and score again. They had plenty of time to do so.

You’re right. But he controlled the ball and lost it trying to stretch for more yards/TD…

Very very likely yes.

McAfee is just Fing with everyone at this point. And it's great.

Looking forward to the "We're smarter than you" gamesmanship shtick all week when everyone and their mom knows Hurts is playing, but they're going to try to play it coy all week and pretend he might not play. One of the most annoying things this team does. There is no competitive advantage. It's just dumb people trying to make themselves feel smart. Nothing more.

Yep. Sounds about right. Knew they were going to do this crap all week. They need to grow up. Everyone knows they're playing, no one's falling for it. They think they're so slick it's actually kind of pathetic at this point.

It used to be. Thats how they beat Miami (who has lost to every physical team they played). They outphysicald a dirty Buffalo team as well. They were physical for 1 series against SF and then stopped it for the rest of the season.
