We all know the Eagles are going nowhere and this is irrelevant, but a MNF playoff game is unacceptable.  No team should win a playoff game and have to deal with a short week for the next round.  That’s absolutely ridiculous.

Happens all the time.   Play on Sunday in Round 1, then have to play on Saturday in Round 2.

That version of Kelly Green is the ONLY version that should have been brought back.   The current version is just not it.  Nice try, but a big swing and a miss.  Sort of like our coordinators this past year.   Nice idea... poorly executed.

Can you ever remember a time when the eagles have had a sunday playoff game followed by a saturday playoff game? They seem to always stay on the same day.

The ideal scenario at this point is Belichick not getting a HC job and coming here as a DC/Asst. HC to mentor Sirianni.

I think theres a real possibility he doesn't get a HC job but not sure he'd be interested in that role. But if I'm Lurie I'm asking him to name his price and pitching the idea of still being involved in coaching/ Xs and Os without the full weight of a HC responsibility.

The schedule this entire year has been unacceptable.

I don’t blame the results of the season on it, but it’s made for a pretty miserable fan experience.

The players won’t say it, but I have to believe they hate it as much as we do.

Now just compound that feeling for those of us in timezones that put those night games into the 2am start time.

The current version is really nice BUT it isn't right.  How Fing hard can it be?

I think we are a little spoiled by winning and are a little too quick to want to cut bait and completely start over. Not just the overall success of the franchise, but the fact that since Reid left after a very successful career, we have reached the playoffs within 2 years with each of our successive coaching hires, reached the super bowl with 2 of them, and won a super bowl.

Its not supposed to be this easy. Its NOT this easy. And we cant just keep shuffling through HCs at the very first sign of some adversity. Siri is a good enough coach to stick with and let him try to right the ship. Doug may have been too. We need to be a little patient because shuffling through HCs every few years is how you end up like the worst franchises in this sport.

We have been a little lucky to have HIT on some of these coaching hires when we could have easily been the teams hiring the wrong guys like Gus Bradley et al. We shouldnt be so quick to show successful coaches the door because we couldnt handle one season below expectations.

Imagine if you were to switch out HC for QB.

I don't understand why a cowboy fans spends so much time on an Eagles message board.

It would be the same. The season last year makes you want to see one more year with a different OC to confirm or disprove that Hurts hasnt just been figured out, and that he can run a more NFL style offense and succeed. The contract pretty much forces your hand there too.

I didn't say it happened to the Eagles, but it happens.

Just last year... Giants-Vikings game was Sunday, January 15.   Giants matched up against the Eagles on Saturday, January 21.
Cowboys played Monday, January 16.  Cowboys matched up against the 49ers on Sunday, January 22.

Go back to before the "Super Wild Card" weekend.

2019:  Sunday, Jan 5 - Vikings played Saints.   Saturday, Jan 11 Vikings played the 49ers.

I'm sure there were others as well if you go back different years.  But, only having 2 WC games on Saturday in the past made it easier to work with and didn't happen every year.   But, with 6 games to be played now... and wanting to spread it out for maximum eyeballs and not overlap games... they are going to have primetime MNF games as part of the playoffs every year, and every year, the winner will play on Sunday the following week.   AND, because of that and due to the lowest seed always matching up with the highest seed, a team that wins on Sunday will also almost always have to play on Saturday the following week.   The only way around it would be to play 3 games on Saturday and 3 on Sunday.  But, they will never do it.  A Saturday at 1PM game just isn't a good enough time slot compared to a Monday at 8:30 PM in terms of the money they can generate.   And even then, due to the seeding requirements, it could still happen where a team plays on 6 days between games.

The only way to eliminate it as possible is to lock in the bracket before the playoffs start, like the NCAA tournament.. and regardless of winners and loser, they just matchup however it falls, with whatever team is the higher seed in each matchup getting the home game.   But, in that scenario, it would be conceivable that the 6 seed could get a home game against the 7 seed (if both win), while the 4/5 matchup winner would have to travel to the 1 seed.  OR... the 1 seed would play the 4 seed, while the 2 seed would get the 6 seed in the second round.   Not sure the NFL wants to do that either.

Apparently, its impossible.   NIKE has unlimited deep pockets and have had how many years to try?   And the helmet is even worse.  The jerseys at least looked right when they got wet!

It should be the same and Hurts should be given that same patience you're giving sirianni

Yeah, this was the dumbest 💩 I ever heard in my life. Designer bags reminding you of the las vegas super bowl.

Of course that isn't true.

I agree.   And yet, evidence to the contrary seems to be stacking up.  Nike shouldn't have this much trouble... and yet they are.  The helmet color can't be this hard... and yet, it is.

Either its incompetence on the part of NIKE and they just can't get it right...
It's intentional by Lurie to bring in a color that's closer to the Kelly's than the current Midnight, but not the correct color...

or its impossible.

Or, maybe they have a slightly color blind guy at NIKE that's in charge, and everyone is afraid to tell him its wrong.

I read that Nike has their own set of colors setup in their supply chain and that our green isn't one of them.  Still ridiculous.

I don't either, but he's the least objectionable Cowboys fan I've ever seen.  And he's far less annoying than many of the Eagles' fans on here.   He's not trolling, whereas several of them are.  So, he's welcome to post and discuss... but, he'll never be one of us.  ;)

They are in the same boat for different reasons.

Yeah... I've heard that too.  And when you think about how much money they could make with the PROPER color, you'd be hard pressed to argue that they shouldn't add another color to their supply chain.  Totally ridiculous.

It's a well known fact that the vast majority of Cowboys fans have the intellect of a rock.  He can have at least a semi-intelligent conversation here, assuming he ignores RTK or Random Reglar.

Might be the lowest temps for an NFL game since the 2008 playoff game between the Giants and Packers.

I was outside last night in -42 wind chill.  About 3 minutes to walk to the end of the block to check on a broken gate.  It causes physical pain as your skin begins to freeze; no way I'd be outside watching a football game for 3-4 hours in even -23 wind chill when I could watch it at home on the couch.
