Josh McDaniels as OC would not be fun.

Could be worse belichick could move Patricia back to the offensive side like he was his last stint with NE

On the old board there used to be a bunch of other fans in ATNFL but that area is on life support now

I was outside last night in -42 wind chill.  About 3 minutes to walk to the end of the block to check on a broken gate.  It causes physical pain as your skin begins to freeze; no way I'd be outside watching a football game for 3-4 hours in even -23 wind chill when I could watch it at home on the couch.

You know there will be at least one drunk fat idiot without a shirt on

Really need to get the ask Dave section going. Probably would help if we convince the real Dave to join the board lol

Ross tucker asked the right question, did belichick know they was in the contract?

I would bet Belichick knew.  I suspected that's how Kraft was able to keep McDaniels when he reneged on the Colts at the last minute (after the last minute), but McDaniels decided eventually he didn't want to wait that long to be a horrible head coach again and left for Las Vegas.

I don't like Kraft or Belichick but I thought they did the PC pretty well, with Kraft coming out alongside BB but letting him make the announcement and say a few words.

Ben Johnson is going to be 38 in May.  McDaniels was 38 when the Dilphins hired him.  Been coaching for 13 years.

Sirianni's experience record is largely the same if you look at it, relative to the differences in ages of the individuals.

Why would we need that section?

The coldest I ever experienced was when I was working in Minneapolis.  It was -16 BEFORE the wind chill.  Dumb a** here forgot to bring gloves and I remember the steering wheel of my rental car burning my hands.

Awful HC but his track record as OC under BB speaks for itself.

Most likely due to board changing in 2020.

Yeah and Sirianni never called plays before while Ben Johnson has.

Nick was calling the plays in the beginning

Giants 07 Super Bowl run also started with a wild card win on the road in Tampa.

We're going to get absolutely CRUSHED on Monday

Yeah here, and it was a total disaster.  I'm saying prior to being HC he never called plays.

Happens all the time.   Play on Sunday in Round 1, then have to play on Saturday in Round 2.

Yeah, I was just about to say, so long as the winner plays on Sunday the following week, then I don't see how it's different from past years when this has happened as you mentinoed above. It sucks for the team that gets one less day, obviously, but it's not anything new.

I honestly don't care either way if we win/lose. Only thing that will upset me is a blowout loss. It might be Kelce and Graham's final games. Show SOME fight.

Can you ever remember a time when the eagles have had a sunday playoff game followed by a saturday playoff game? They seem to always stay on the same day.

Didn't the giants play on sunday the week prior to them playing us on saturday for our first game last year?

If Eagles fire Sirianni I think Vrabel is much more likely than BB.

In other news, AJ Brown deleted his Twitter. For the best, less social media is good for him. Just lock in.

I don't recall what the still air temp was - probably -40F or so. I remember the wind chill was a nice even -100F. Keep a vehicle running or it likely won't start until the weather warms up. I miss that like I miss having a 'social disease'.

I didn't say it happened to the Eagles, but it happens.

Just last year... Giants-Vikings game was Sunday, January 15.   Giants matched up against the Eagles on Saturday, January 21.
Cowboys played Monday, January 16.  Cowboys matched up against the 49ers on Sunday, January 22.

Go back to before the "Super Wild Card" weekend.

2019:  Sunday, Jan 5 - Vikings played Saints.   Saturday, Jan 11 Vikings played the 49ers.

I'm sure there were others as well if you go back different years.  But, only having 2 WC games on Saturday in the past made it easier to work with and didn't happen every year.   But, with 6 games to be played now... and wanting to spread it out for maximum eyeballs and not overlap games... they are going to have primetime MNF games as part of the playoffs every year, and every year, the winner will play on Sunday the following week.   AND, because of that and due to the lowest seed always matching up with the highest seed, a team that wins on Sunday will also almost always have to play on Saturday the following week.   The only way around it would be to play 3 games on Saturday and 3 on Sunday.  But, they will never do it.  A Saturday at 1PM game just isn't a good enough time slot compared to a Monday at 8:30 PM in terms of the money they can generate.   And even then, due to the seeding requirements, it could still happen where a team plays on 6 days between games.

The only way to eliminate it as possible is to lock in the bracket before the playoffs start, like the NCAA tournament.. and regardless of winners and loser, they just matchup however it falls, with whatever team is the higher seed in each matchup getting the home game.   But, in that scenario, it would be conceivable that the 6 seed could get a home game against the 7 seed (if both win), while the 4/5 matchup winner would have to travel to the 1 seed.  OR... the 1 seed would play the 4 seed, while the 2 seed would get the 6 seed in the second round.   Not sure the NFL wants to do that either.

beat me to it
