Kelce made 1st team all pro

AJ Brown, Lane Johnson and Jake Elliott made 2nd team all pro

I think that seals the deal for anyone that might have been on the fence regarding him as a HoF center.   I don't think that there was any way he wasn't going to get in... but 6 1st team All-Pro selections...

Dwight Stephenson only had 5 and made the Hall.

Kevin Mawae had 3 1st team, and 4 2nd team... and made the Hall.

I don't see any way that he can be held out now, especially with the Championship on his resume.  AND... he should have been named to the All-decade team for the 2010s. Alex Mack making it over him is pathetic.  Mack had ZERO 1st team All-Pro selections in the 2010s, Kelce had 3.  Mack was named to the Pro Bowl 6 times, Kelce only 3, but the Pro Bowl is much more a popularity contest than it is anything else.  All-Pro, in my estimation, should mean much more.

Except where he didn't want to pay his employees during COVID until Embiid made him look like an idiot and wanted to pay them. Great owner

Things I couldn't possibly care less about.

Yeah.. mostly on the defensive side of the ball IMO. Not having Slay available probably lost those last 2 bottom dweller games instead of scraping them out. He's the only legit corner that the Eagles have.

On defense I'd say the regression is due to lack of talent. They lost a lot of capable players and replaced them with nothing. There's at least a reasonable explanation for why they're so terrible. There is no excuse for the offense performing the way they have been

Wild he's able to practice and try to come back this year. That injury was nasty

Seems like they are holding player only meetings every week.

Will be interesting to see if Lamar can shed the stigma that he underperforms in the postseason - getting Andrews back will help.  If Lamar plays at a high level, I don't see how anyone beats them.

Not a typo.  Objectionable.  (adjective)  meaning - arousing distaste or opposition; unpleasant or offensive.

You are not objectionable.

Yeh, sorry I misread that, and thanks.

Jason Kelce is a 6-time 1st team all-pro. I remember in the Chip Kelly era when he was nearly the most hated player on this board

That’s now three times as many as Markice Pouncey, the player voted Center of the 2010’s decade over him. Twice as many as Jason Peters & Trent Williams, and now equal in number to Joe Thomas.

The argument was he was too small but we also had bad guards back then. As soon as we got decent to good to great guards he was playing a lot better

Thankfully we have his replacement when he retires. Dudes a legend both on and off the field. Would love if he stayed with the team in some capacity after he retires

"We gotta start believing in our coaches" could mean "We need to get guys who we can believe in"

Time to start arguing if Kelce is the best center to ever play - he's definitely up there with Kareem and Shaq

Hire someone else. Piss Maxx off. Maxx forces his way out. Howie trades for him. Profit. Would love that dude here, though it's just a pipe dream.

Kelce SHOULD be a surefire hall of famer, even before this.

The current version is really nice BUT it isn't right.  How Fing hard can it be?

Nike would rather create some sort of stupid story as to why they are using a color and a certain type of number font because the uniforms now have to represent the city and the passion of the fans. Ask for Kelly Green from the 90s and they have no clue though.

pointing out grammar issues on a sports message board is very pedantic, boorish, and elitist.

It's a fan ran message board about an NFL franchise, this isn't Oxford University. One's education level, specifically in regards to grammar, does not directly corellate to their ability to be a fan, and to make and give iinformed opinions.

Often when someone like Hunt points out the grammar mistakes, it is a AD HOMINEM attack, ment to degrade the individual.

Sorry if my love of the English language offends you. I feel comfortable with that. Calling me pedantic, boorish, and elitist smacks of an ad hominem attack, don’t you think?

100% he gets in.  Should be quickly as well.

Absolutely, yet they have stumbled around in the dark until they hired Sark. Sad really with all those resources and $.

Just a follow up on the Bama vacancy and speculation on their replacement, the video is older but Sark’s response to the post is telling:

Texas' Steve Sarkisian and Florida State's Mike Norvell reaffirmed their commitments to their current schools on social media Friday after being linked to Alabama's high-profile vacancy.
In a Friday post on X, the Texas football program posted a short video of Sarkisian with the caption, "Just getting started." Sarkisian posted the "Horns up" emoji in a response to the post.

"I came here to win championships," Sarkisian said in the video. "That's the goal. We're here to chase greatness, to win championships. This is the University of Texas and people are going to want to be part of it. It sure is great to be on the Forty Acres."

Curious what's going on with AJ Brown. Looked like he blew out his ACL, but then seemed fine after the game, went to get an MRI and nothing has come out since about what it showed. Missing the two biggest practices is obviously not a good sign.

It's an MCL. He'll play.
