When you grew up in the Philly area you learned to love the Birds and hate the Cowboys. That’s just how it went. There have been a few periods where the Giants briefly had the spotlight due to the two teams battling for the division but 90% of the time it was Dallas. 

I guess it turns out the eagles not getting the #2 seed was good...

The eagles would've been smoked like turkeys 

I don’t trust any Eagles fan that doesn’t take pleasure in watching Dallas choke.

All those Eagle -Cowboy games in the 70's with the white helmets looking foolish. NFL films highlights of Cowboys always showing the Eagles playing futile football against Roger Staubach scrambles. Yes, I still got some trauma to work through, so I am loving this.

I don't get it.  They don't deserve this much attention from Eagles fans but all they think about is Dallas. 

I don't get this type of fandom. Dallas is the biggest rival for the Eagles. We don't like the gmen or the redskins, but we hate and loath the cowgirls. This is what being a true NFL fan is all about.

I have a buddy, young guy really, but he is a huge Raider fan, die hard, doesn't matter how bad the Raiders are honestly, he loves them, but he has a huge hatred for the Chiefs (and Mahomes). He has always hated the Chiefs because the Chiefs are the most hated rival of the Raiders. That is how this works!!!

BTW, I respect the PHI fandom, always have and stated that here before great sports fans and city. I get the divisional animosity completely.

Giants were the top rival before Dallas entered the league.  Old timers have the Giants as the number 1 rival, everyone else has Dallas.  Their lack of success should make them an after thought... but any time they show any signs of life, they get overhyped nationally and their bandwagon troll fans get loud and obnoxious.  When they go down, we just get a reprieve from that and enjoy a brief respite.
