So with the win last night, Seattle remains the only team the Eagles haven’t beaten since Kelce has been here. Still got a few critical games before then, but we need to seriously fix that issue in a few weeks.

Not defending those back to back WR screens, but supposedly they were RPOs that the Chiefs sniffed out. They gummed up the line of scrimmage and the DBs were very aggressive.

Maybe that would be a good time to dust off some more under center run action.

Man, I've F'ing had enough of these talking heads calling that drop by MVS a "would-be game-winning TD."

As if we didn't have all 3 timeouts and there wasn't 1:40 on the clock.

Correct. Merely a "go-ahead" TD.

I’m assuming it’s a regular season stat.

Yeah…sounds great, but unfortunately playoff games count too…more, really.

It’s like when the media kept saying Brock Purdy was undefeated as a starter until the 49ers lost to Cleveland this year.  I’m fairly certain he started the NFCC Game last season

You're just figuring this out? It's always been Siri, BJ, Hurts and even Kelce making some calls.

Would it be a reminder if I was just figuring it out?

Great win but we should go back to calling the offense like Hurts has an injury, I wonder if Hurts feels like he's just done running so much, he saw too how effective he was from the pocket during his injury

Hurts does his best running up the middle when teams respect the pass and leave that part of the field open.

Bad things generally happen when Hurts breaks the pocket horizontally.  He doesn’t make great throws on the run and needs to step into them.  His speed isn’t great either on those plays and half the time he ends up sitting down for a loss when he could have thrown it away.

He belongs in the pocket.

Player of the game can be shared by Byard and Roby.  If not for their plays those dropped passes by KC don't even matter because KC would've still had the lead.

My fear in those situations is Eli Ricks getting called for illegal contact and gifting them an automatic first down. Seems like he does that at least once every game.

That rule needs to change.  Give the 5 yards, but no automatic first down.  Some flag happy official can convert for a team by pulling the flag on a ticky tack call on 4th and the Golden Gate Bridge.  Ridiculous penalty.

I don’t quite get the rule. So 2nd and 35 for example there’s illegal contact, 5 yard penalty and an automatic first down. How does that make sense? Surely on that basis offside should be an automatic first down.

For you yes. Friendly reminder.

That stat is incorrect.   Missing the words 'regular season'... and can we stop attributing everything to the QB?  This is a team game, and the team won this one.   As is always the case.   Teams win, teams lose.    The stats line would certainly tell the story of a 'team' effort rather than an historic individual performance.

I know QBs get the most money and they get the most attention, but I don't remember seeing Hurts on the field for any defensive snaps in the second half as the defense pitched the shut out.  Let's give the defense some credit for these kinds of stats too... or else this team can become the Chargers.

Is that even legal?

No No No. BJ made the calls only him ever. F that guy.

It doesn't make sense, but that's the rule.    "Automatic" first downs should be eliminated.  Just go with the yardage and you get what you get.

Wasn’t a slight to the red zone offense today. I’d still like to see it. I think it would be an effective play like when reid calls it with Travis.

I'll have to talk to Sir about that one... please hold.

Reminder:  That's what the call was on Bradberry on 3rd down in the Super Bowl.  If its just a 5 yard penalty... its still 3rd down and the Chiefs have to actually convert to get the right to end the game by killing the clock and kicking the FG.

Got some sleep last night. Woke up and realized our Eagles shut down the Historic Dolphins Offense.  Swept the Commanders, stopped Dallas with multiple Goal Line Stands.  Then went into KC and won in Arrowhead when the Chiefs haven't lost a game in November in years.  They did this all in the last month. The dreaded Gauntlet Games is turning to a Nightmare not for the Eagles but for the other teams.

It’s not a fun stretch, but the reality is it’s a "we’re not stuck in here with you you, you’re stuck in here with us” situation and that’s how they can view it. Not a lot of teams can beat them when they bring their C- game, let alone their A game if that ever even shows up in one of these games. They are the best team on the field against anyone they line up against. It’s always just the self-inflicted errors that hurt them.

Agreed but rules are rules until they're not. As we see there's no guarantee the WR would even make the catch in KCs case lol.

Speaking of the Commanders games, a lot of people ragging on Howell and saying the Eagles made him look like an MVP, but tbh the guy is still leading the NFL in passing yards and is 8th in passing TDs. The guy is surprisingly a lot better than people are giving him credit for.

The Commanders put up the most Points against the Eagles.   Only team to score 30 on the Birds this season.  And they did it twice.  Some of those Howell yards are because they are always playing catch up.  But I can't even hate.  I would have never expected him to be leading the league in passing.   That's just wild. Kid needs some weapons and a better O-Line and he could be a threat in the Division.   I think Washington shocks Dallas on Thanksgiving too.  Also everyone ragging on Brian Johnson and the Offense.  Be Clear, the Chiefs Defense was the best the Defense we played this season.  Even over the Jets and Cowboys.   They have given up 24 points or less in all 10 games.  We scored 21 on them.

9-1 is a great place to be.

I'm still in awe of this team's mental toughness. We can be down 10 and they still think we're going to win. That really matters.

Sniffed out, it wasn't hard, as soon as I saw Smitty running along the line I thought here comes a screen. Did they think Spags was off the field taking a crap?

It was nerve racking but I am kinda glad we were down 10 at the half and went on to win, poetic justice since the reverse happened in the Super Bowl.  Beat them the same way they beat us (at least as far as coming from behind to win when trailing by 10 entering halftime).

Commanders actually have decent weapons. Mclaurin, Dotson and Brian robinson are nice weapons. Even Logan Thomas is playing alright this year. Still could use an upgrade at tight end but they have solid weapons. Their issues is the oline is just not good. It’s one of the reasons why he gets sacked so much. Other i think he is still young and tries to do too much at times. Tbh their biggest issue is their defense (particularly secondary) hasn’t been very good. They are 32nd in td passes allowed, 31st in passing yards allow and 26th in yards per attempt.
