So if it were me, this is really simple.....Run to start, then have Covey in the slot on one side, Goedert and Smith lined up on the other side.  Have them run continuous crossing routes, Goedert shallow, Covey med, Smith deeper.

Stop making sense...

Last year we ran a ton of RPO where he'd make adjustment based on the defense, but we gave up on it when teams sold out to try and stop it,  Hurts should audible to plays that the coaches haven't called all season even during heavily scripted opening drives, so presumably we haven't practised much either?  That's your answer to the offense struggling?

He can audible the odd play but the reliance on slow developing routes is a fundamental part of this years offense, he can't call the entire offense at the line, that's nonsense, Sirianni has said repeatedly they don't have hot routes installed to beat a blitz, we'd both agree that's ridiculous, but it ain't Hurts fault and he can't change it at the line.

Love last night played a near perfect QB game. He showed lots of football IQ changing the play depending on how the cowboys - in particular parsons, lined up.

Some of those throws he made off the back foot were really impressive.

Welcome to EMB where the playcalling is actually Jalen Hurts fault.

I'm praying the Cowboys hire Belichick.  Then he hires Patricia.  And he trades Dak to NE and drafts one mediocre QB after the next for a few years.  Then Micah signs with us in FA.

Yep, MNF was it.  I remember at first only being allowed to see the 5 minute intro which I loved,  Then, as I get a bit older I was allowed to stay up until the halftime highlights and that was the highlight as you say.

Later on I was in NoVA and we had the ESPN highlights but also Eagles Digest from Spads.  I lived for that weekly drop and eventually that turned into this place and the website.

Regarding the commercials, the GamePass feeds internationally have done some different things over the years but sometimes we'd just get the feed from the stadium with the announcers talking about preparing a replay, etc. just as you say.    Sometimes we get the US commercials.  Sometimes just a static "we'll be right back" screen.

That was pretty much me, too. Early on (pre-1977), my bedtime was 8PM. After that, it went to 9PM but on Monday's, I could stay up until halftime to see if there were any Eagles highlights. But that slowly morphed into staying up until the game was over. My parents knew that I was just laying in bed listening to the TV through my bedroom door anyway lol.

One day in the early (to mid) 90's (I was an adult, of course) when I saw a sign at the Vet during a game (on TV) that gave the Eagles website address. This was so early in the days of mass Internet access that I didn't fully understand what it was or what to do with it. But eventually, I figured it out and got on that early version of what became PE.COM. From there, I discovered the Philly newspaper websites. Before finding those, I'd have to drive about 40 minutes (one way) to a mall in Norfolk to go to a newsstand that would have the Philadelphia Inquirer. Of course, we're so many years away from that now, that the mall (Military Circle) doesn't even exist anymore.

Am I missing something or am I just old now? Credit for being creative but damn, these are hideous.

if this is true, Sirianni is toast. They’re more committed to Hurts than the coaches

How do you know Hurts is at odds with siri? 3 names were listed. Brian Johnson could be (hopefully is) the odd man out.

Oh man. I remember those days! My dad had a dish too and it was so cool watching how sports and news broadcasters cut it up during the commercials.

Yeah, I loved it. I probably still have some of those games on tape. Reception wasn't always awesome, but just having the game available made it the best quality you could ever see lol.

This is starting to sound legit... ruh rooh.

I see it as a good thing. Hopefully means Johnson is out whether he is hired away or fired.

An anti-Sirianni article getting dropped the day of the playoff game is about as bad as it gets vibe-wise.

you gotta love our media. No body hates the eagles more than our beat writers.

The Packers/Cowboys game will be rebroadcast on NFL Network at 4:30 ET if anyone wants to watch it again. I know I will.

Honestly, there is quite a simple game plan vs. the blitz, short quick passes.  Maybe....put Covey in the slot and let him go off!?!?!?  Hit 'em with something they don't expect?

You had me at Covey.

I’d absolutely rock a Kelce Kelly green version.

I’m curious what goes on during the hours and hours of film and gameplan discussion during the week. Like does anyone bring up "Hey, we should probably scheme in some blitz beaters”?

They've been playing possum with their blitz pickup game.

They thrive off of negativity. The media for this team doesn’t know how to handle a good team. Nothing last year, nothing when they started 10-1, and then the rat stories come out. Just the worst type of people.

All of those things (except finding a trade partner for Dak) would be horrible, but hey, Jerrah gonna Jerrah. I honestly kind of hope DAL trades Micah and gets some great draft capital and maybe an asset or two. He alone isn't going to make DAL a SB contender, but what he could bring in trade (if done properly and with a little luck) could. Dak is an entirely different problem. Bottom line, DAL cannot afford to pay Diggs, Dak, Parsons, Lamb, Martin, Tyron, and DLaw...and keep other decent talent around them.

After yesterday's epic failure I would expect significant change this offseason, exactly what those changes are is going to be interesting to see. Jerrah knows he's running out of time, and quite possibly just missed his last window. It's the Cowboy way...keep the fanbase on the hook for another year, over and over and over...

It's Sirianni's offense. If Hurts doesn't like the offense that's on Sirianni. And being the head coach he's the one on final say to make changes or not.

I think all of that is wrong.
