That was the 1987 season (January 1988) when they beat the Broncos, I had just quit my job at the AMC Theatre in Greenbelt MD (Beltway Plaza) and joined the Army about 5 months later. If I'm remembering correctly, it was a strike shortened season and if I'm further remembering correctly, it was the same season where we played them at RFK and Reggie got a strip sack where he took the ball away from either Doug Williams or Jay Schroeder, and ran it back for something like 60 yards for a TD. Epic play!

Redskins had something that the Eagles lacked completely during that time.. a really good O-line.

Wasn’t there something about the Cowboys wearing those blue away jerseys back then (mostly losing when the had to wear them)?!

I was just watching this and the whole "Away blues" thing came to mind...yeh it was a thing. Uniforms were so much simpler back in the day, i love the classic look. I also like the DAL all whites.

😂 All good man, I wouldn't expect anything else.

I am pretty self aware, I am sure I can be unlikeable (or at least annoying) at times to some, like today. Company recognized holiday, nothing going on, too cold for golf or to even to hang out with golf buddies and drink beer in the garage.  So here I am chatting it up like a storm with PHI fans, also why I was here talking to myself the other day...I said "self..."

It's a message board.  Go wild.

I don't want to see BB with Pasons.  I think we forgot he was coaching LT.

BB is washed and old.

Perfect match "if Jerry's ego can handle not having a pushover coach." You mean the guy who couldn't stick with his college roommate who delivered him 2 SBs. That guy.

I know it is hard to see outside of one's own reality bubble, but, ignorance is a concept you might want to explore, personally.

Take your own advice, step outside pf the echo chamber and take off your green tinted glasses if you think BB in Dallas would be a bad move for the Cowboys.

Except the Patriots still had a great defense this year

As long as Dak is still there... I'd never be worried regardless of who their coach is. And if BB has personnel control especially in the draft. I'd be all for it lol.

I should know better. Have a nice day boy and ring your bell so that Mom can bring you more hot pockets.

You've seen some thngs then...

I have seen a few DAL players in public, never approached any of them. I caught eyes once and just kind of gave head nod as if to say, "Yeh, I see you but I respect your personal time.", they nodded back. Good enough for me.

Took the family to the state fair and was getting lunch once, Bill Bates was there (recently retired) with his family doing the same, never asked for his autograph, but we sat down at the same table waiting for our food and had a simple conversation. He was a really cool down to earth guy.

I just realized a mistake that I made, I said that I got into Austin a few times, but I only went there once and that was to catch a plane to Houston. I was thinking of Waco.

Believe it or not, even though I've been an Eagles fan since the mid 70's, I've been to more Cowboys games than I have Eagles games (I've never been to an Eagles game).  I went to the one in 1990 vs. the Bucs in Dallas, and my brothers and I went to the 1982 NFC Championship game (Cowboys @ Redskins). We camped out at RFK overnight to get tickets. I would have been 12, almost 13 at the time. My best friend at the time was a big Cowboys fan, and he went too.

A Cowboys fan who was sitting behind us during the game looked like he could have been Danny White's brother. Looked just like him. Of course, White got knocked out by Dexter Manley in that game and Gary Hogeboom had to finish it.

That’s bad. My worst period was the Gibbs teams that won in their second wave. I was up in NoVA then. Guy sitting next to me at work was in the Skins marching band. He had a maroon car with 5 or 6 Skins hats in the rear window. Couple of Skins wives worked there as well. It was the bandwagon year one year. Dude got a bandwagon vanity license plate. Not a time to be an Eagles fan in DC area.

Vanity plates are free in VA right (or used to be)? Have to pay for a vanity plate in TX, not that I would ever own a vanity plate, unless I owned my own company and wanted to throw the business name out there.

I would also give credit to Joe Gibbs. I hated the Redskins, but respected him as a coach. Same with Tom Landry. I still remember the commercial he did where he was surrounded by Redskins, an American Express commercial.

I’ve only been to one Eagles game and that was in Phoenix against the Cards in the early 90s. Herschel Walker played for the Birds and ran back a kickoff that was called back due to a penalty. Lost the game and got some slack from the Cardinals fans, as I had on my Cunningham jersey😂

Danny White

Danny White...great player who statistically was better than Roger but couldn't get passed the NFCCG (lost in 81, 82, and 83), he was to the NFCCG what Kelly was to the SB, hell of a punter too.

That was one SB year but the bandwagon year was 1991.  They went 14-2 with a loss to the Cowboys and then to the Eagles in the last game of the year.  Rypien was the QB.  They brat beat the Bills in the SB.  Tony Kornheiser drove the entire bandwagon thingy via the Wash Post.

Randall C. was also a hell of a punter.

I've seen a bit and that included the beat down period when America's Team beat the snot out of the Eagles twice a year for a decade and shoved our nose in it pretty much every time.

Bloody hell, just seen Jerry Jones interviewed close up.

Is he ok ?

I would be worried if Dallas gets Harbaugh.

BB not so much.  He's a great coach but I think the game has passed him by.

He was an extraordinary athlete, he was Vick, before Vick was Vick, only right handed, that dude could scramble, freaking Elastic Man...

I'm not sure how many people here remember (or knew) that he was the Starting QB AND the starting punter at the same time lol.

Still though, he never topped Randall's record punt of 91 yards.

😂, 81 years, last 28 in a row without sniffing the NFCCG, and a lot of Johnnie Walker Blue will do that to a man!
