It won't play here, but it will on YouTube, the ball was thrown to Quick but it was Byars that eventually scored the TD:

The playcalling in that game is better then any game the Eagles have played this year

Yes, but in his defense, he was high on cocaine at the time.

Cocaines a helluva drug

But in 1987, they had an easier time of it because Buddy refused to do any coaching and if I remember right, none of our players crossed the lines but I think some Redskins players did (not many, if I remember right).

That was the year that Landry played his starters vs. our scabs and beat us. Then the next time we played them that year we had our starters and beat them, but even though the game was all but over, Buddy wanted revenge and called for the fake kneel down and Randall threw downfield (to Byars I think), causing the Cowboys to commit PI and extend the game by a play which we turned into an extra "In your face" touchdown lol.

I loved it!

Correct on all counts.

Whipper snappers.  I was 18 and a freshman in college in Redskins territory.

17 for me that year.

The first game I ever shed actual tears over...

75-76 flyers getting their doors blown off 4 straight to the Habs, while the DJ played "You are so beautiful (great song to imagine slo mo hockey to)."  I still remember it vividly.

Step away from the computer and a hit piece on the Eagles offense and a conversation about cocaine and Michael Irvin being a great guy breaks out.

Oh, it's your fault!

Except the Patriots still had a great defense this year

Can't accept a 3-14 team had a great defense.

I don’t think Siri has an offense. Shane Stichen had him looking a lot different. I think Siri is as his coordinator is.

It was still tons of RPO and read option with Steichen, but he did it better than Johnson does. As Steichen has gone on to have success with it while having a non-running threat at QB and has some blitz beating options.  Johnsons version of this offense does not, and clearly sucks.

Still,  these are guys brought in with expertise in those RPO offenses which isn't what Siri was doing in Indy. He may well have an offense.  We just haven't seen it because he had had Hurts as his QB who can't run his offense.

Daboll is an ass. That was obvious at his opening press conference when he first got hired there.

😂, 81 years, last 28 in a row without sniffing the NFCCG, and a lot of Johnnie Walker Blue will do that to a man!

G-d bless him. May he live forever and never retire.

I know there's talk around trading or releasing Dak today but the Cowboys are pretty much stuck with him next year

It's hilarious to watch Cowboys fans talk themselves into eating $60 million in dead money when they are already over the cap and need to re-sign two of their best players.

Yikes

I was 6 to 7 at that time and the only thing (sports wise) that I remember is falling in love with the awesome green uniforms with the helmet that had the cool looking wings on them, in the back of the Sears catalog. That was the beginning of my Eagles fandom... and being so young, I had no clue about what a division rival was or that the Eagles and Redskins were in the same division and all that lol.

I also remember getting "Creepy Crawlers" for Christmas 1975, a Star Trek Bridge set with Spock, Kirk and Scotty along with a toy M1903 rifle in 1976. But that's not relevant to a football/sports discussion lol.

I guess today's just "Memory Lane" for me lol.

That series sucked.  Though not as much as losing to the Isles in six a fews later.  Robbed when Barber was called offside.

I either forgot or didn't realize 2 of those came in strike years...the NFC East ran the league for a while back in the day...

Must have forgotten.   1982, 1987.

If you ask my wife, the mother of my 2 children, how I motherF her, she’d say, "like a damn BOSS.”

Thankfully, she does not peruse the EMB to see this.
