Watch Pickett come in after halftime.

Yeh, it was more a comment to the fact of make the playoffs, early exit, rinse, repeat.

I like Omar Epps...uh, I mean Mike Tomlin, he is at least consistent, PIT doesn't have a lot of turnover at the HC position, probably the least amount in the league over the years.

Probably? It’s not even close. Noll from 69-91, Cowher from 92-06, Tomlin from 07-Now.

Yep.

And  they are always just good enough to be out of range from drafting a quality QB prospect.

This is their biggest issue. I can’t remember the last time they had a top 10 pick.

Watching the Steelers get smoked is almost as enjoyable as watching the cowgirls get smoked…Steelers have the most annoying fan base in the nfl

Bills going to reach out to Matty A and say come back?

He'd probably tell them to get lost but he'd use different words.

Pittsburgh TD before halftime makes this one somewhat entertaining

Fans at other stadiums including the Bills in recent years have thrown snowballs and other objects like trash.  Other team fans have booed their teams the first sign of trouble, last year Dallas fans booed Dak horribly, Colts fans booed Andrew Luck despite him disclosing mental health issues, fans at 49ers games stab each other, Bills fans jump on flaming folding tables, etc.  There are classless fans, fights and other things around the league.

Yet, the media STILL talks about Philly throwing snowballs at Santa nearly 60 years ago.  And they never report the real story behind it.  It's been a narrative ever since.

Throwing snowballs at Santa is a tragedy; a stabbing at the 9ers parking lot is a statistic.

The Bills are going to crush the Chiefs next weekend

From a competitive standpoint the wild card round has sucked.  One close game.

IIRC from loosely watching, even the one close game had zero lead changes and was just the Rams constantly in pursuit.

I once read the real story, pretty funny, the fact that the guy was there with his parents and grandparents and they just plucked him out of the stands was awesome...the version I read never said anything about him being drunk (something i'd seen before), is that exaggerated also?

I've never had a problem with Steelers or their fans.  They're an AFC team so they're not a rival to us.  They traditionally have played the type of football Eagles fans crave with tough defense, discipline and a running game.  One of my best friends is from Pittsburgh, when I've visited I've not found their fans to be annoying, or the fans that live around the country I've interacted with.

I don’t know. The media seems to embrace those jacka….. errr… Bills Mafia

pulling hard for the Bills only because a Buffalo/KC playoff rematch will be epic

I grew up in Western PA and currently live in Pittsburgh. All my close friends are Steelers fans, I watched the eagles lose 3 strait nfc championships and a Super Bowl and then had to watch the Steelers win 2 Super Bowl over 4 yrs. Living here has turned me against them.

My reading comprehension is fine.  You're just too slow Texas Joe Balls.

I used to always hear that story told as the kid was drunk, but apparently not.

The Eagles, only six years removed from an NFL championship, started 0-8 in 1968 under coach Joe Kuharich and seem poised to finish with the worst record in the league and earn the No. 1 draft pick in the draft. That meant a chance at selecting USC running back O. J. Simpson.

Only once the Eagles won two straight games — hadn’t anyone heard of Tankadelphia? — essentially surrendering the top spot to Buffalo, disillusioned fans were fed up headed into the finale. And when the Eagles needed a pinch-hit Santa to fill in for the real-deal halftime act either stranded elsewhere in a snowstorm or simply no-showing because of one, they plucked a fan out of the stands who happened to dress as Saint Nick to toss candy canes into the crowd.

As instructed, 20-year-old Frank Olivo ran downfield past a row of elf-costumed "Eaglettes” and the team’s 50-person brass band playing "Here Comes Santa Claus.” Only fans turned on him in his disheveled outfit, angry over another lost Eagles season, and cold, tired and feeling a bit churlish, they booed and chucked snowballs at the woeful Santa impostor.

"Certainly,” said Eagles fan Ray Didinger, sitting at the Snowball Game in Row 24, "no one was trying to hurt Santa Claus.”

Another version that has a local reporter who covered it on the TV news at the time, it's also interesting that he had no game film with audio it was black and white reel with no sound and the team was so bad they were told to only show 3 minutes of story on the Eagles that night.

I can sort of relate.  I was living nearby Tampa, Florida when the Bucs beat us then went on to win the Super Bowl.  Majority of their "fans" were all bandwagon.  People had never bought merch for decades then stores couldn't keep up with the demand.  I'd be at sports bars to watch Eagles games and the Bucs fans didn't even know the basics of the game.  My favorite was when the opponent was kicking a field goal, a table of Bucs fans next to me was chanting "Block that punt!"

We had our hopes up that it was "destiny" the Eagles would win the last game at the Vet, Tampa had never won in less than 40 degrees, the Eagles had beat them in all their recent games...then I had to watch them celebrate their SB win.  It was depressing.  It also was the game that made me disconnect emotionally, I wasn't going to let them let me down again to the point that I'd be that pissed or depressed over a football game.  Their "fans" did not deserve to win. Then they get Brady and win another.  Ugh.

Tbh Dallas has won 12 games each of the last 3 years. Steelers went 9-7-1, 9-8 and 10-7 then got obliterated in the two previous playoff games. Cowboys got blown out by packers but their last two losses to the niners were actually close games

Yeah, but even the worst teams in the afc north have been competent the last few years. Dallas gets to beat up on the giants and Washington for 3-4 automatic wins
