Aikman and Buck were perplexed the whole game about how the Eagles couldn't adjust to the blitz. I really hope Lurie is embarrassed by this performance and just fires the whole coaching staff. Does Sirianni even get another NFL coaching job after how he has been exposed? He may have to the college route.

Him acting like a total horse's arse doesn't help his case either. That stuff doesn't give you a lot of grace when things turn sour

Today is not a painful loss. I was partly hoping for it to guarantee change. Going into next season with this staff would've been a disaster. And the Eagles would've gotten smoked next week.

I was scared of a win because it meant no changes.

good: brand new coaching staff

bad: I think we are about to enter purgatory without the lightning in a bottle turnarounds of 2017 and 2022.

Good: as the talent erodes, Howie does a nice job rebuilding from scratch.

Bad: the talent has to completely erode before Howie does a nice job.  Hurts will mutate into full Wentz by then (if he hasn’t already).

Bad: Lowie will hire a coach you’ve barely heard of that yes mans into their meddling.

Good: they have a pretty good track record with out of nowhere coaching hires.

But still, that Tampa team had 5 all pro’s and won the Super Bowl. It was a much better Bucs team than this one.

The Eagles were a much better team too. This current Eagles team is apparently one of the worst 5-8 teams in the league.

I hope they fire Howie as well. Clean slate.

This is a significantly more desirable job compared to 2013 (Chip), 2016 (Doug) and 2021 (Sirianni) because we actually have a QB and weapons.

Firing a coach making the playoffs 3 out of 3 years, less than a year after coaching the SB, isn’t desirable. Not saying its wrong to fire anyone, but giving up that quick on a SB winner followed by a SB participant back to back is bad.

Next year is the last chance Davis and Nolan Smith have to show they aren’t total busts.

We were 10-1 and did not reach 12 wins. WOW

Benefits of losing in the first round of the playoffs... 😕

I assumed that was factored in to them picking at 25. I just got great news. I almost feel like McKinnstry or DeJean are guaranteed to be there now. But theyve just moved in to a range where they may still land an excellent OT in this deep tackle draft. If they want to piss people off and go with another WR they can have the elite deep threat WR Troy Franklin potentially in that spot.

Im pretty thrilled about that news.

We all knew this loss was coming, and I expected to pick 25th after it. I just got a trade up. I love it.

I can’t do Kelce going out like this

Aikman called them out on the run game too. Maybe Lurie will finally admit his flawed philosophy that he demands?

I like Sirianni.  I think he is a good leader and culture guy. I could point to the front office as the central cause to the meltdown.

Front office impacts:

  • I suspect Resolution JC-2A had an influence on the coordinator hiring. Regardless, they missed on both of them.
  • They played a part in the panic move to Patricia.
  • There wasn't enough talent in the back seven to begin with.  A revolving door of injuries made it an unsustainable mess.

Well we watched the offense net 7 points today… Siriani said this is his offense and he refused to call plays. This offense is atrocious and he really doesn’t deserve another shot. He’s 1-6 in 7, losing every Pivotal game down the stretch including 2 to bottom 5 teams.

This team was actually favored to win

I rage bet Tampa last Monday, so at least that worked out for me.

Who's choice was it to go to Desai over Dennard Wilson?  Wilson knew the back 7... he was familiar with the personnel.  And he's now with the Ravens and their back 7 looks really good.

I get this mentality. I really do.

At the same time, would you keep Sirianni?

Yep. But the bottom line is he had a lack of answers. It wasn’t his Flowers comment or yelling at fans in Indy and KC, it was inability to adapt on offense and his failure of a succession plan for Gannon.

Burn the practice facility down too! Start from scratch

Clearly they don’t use it.
