Gut wrenching, inexplicable, depressing = 2002

Embarrassing = today

2002 I wished they could’ve played the Bucs again… I don’t want to see this version of the team ever.

DeVonta went out on his shield tonight. The only guy who showed up.

I like Sirianni.  I think he is a good leader and culture guy. I could point to the front office as the central cause to the meltdown.

Front office impacts:

  • I suspect Resolution JC-2A had an influence on the coordinator hiring. Regardless, they missed on both of them.
  • They played a part in the panic move to Patricia.
  • There wasn't enough talent in the back seven to begin with.  A revolving door of injuries made it an unsustainable mess.

Sirianni should stay.  Both coordinators should be replaced.

Sad watching Baker Mayfield toss a TD pass in the face of a free blitzer and wonder "Why can’t Hurts throw against a blitz?”  Almost as sad as how lost Avante Maddox always is in coverage.

Howie has been most to blame for this collapse.  Terrible FA signings — only Cunningham showed any ability at all — can we please draft one stud LB, ffs?

I’m not sure how the Eagles get out of the Hurts contract without enduring some lean years.  Without mobility he offers almost nothing.  I suspect he was hurt going into Week 1 — he rarely displayed any dynamic ability at any point this year.

Trade AJ Brown.  He’s the best trade chip they have, doesn’t have any leadership skills, and quit on this season as far as I’m concerned

Very disappointed with Jalen Carter the last several games after such an amazing start to his career.

For me it’s tough to judge individual players (not named Bradbury) for their performance when CLEARLY the entire team was negatively influenced by inept and incompetent coaches.

Goodbye 2023-2024 season. Its been real, It’s been nice, but it hasn’t been real nice.

Firing a coach making the playoffs 3 out of 3 years, less than a year after coaching the SB, isn’t desirable. Not saying its wrong to fire anyone, but giving up that quick on a SB winner followed by a SB participant back to back is bad.

It is bad.   What we saw today... was really really bad.  And frankly, it was clearly a coaching issue.  This team completely quit on these coaches, including the HC.

I'm not going to say that firing Sirianni is a good thing.  But, I'll say that it certainly seems that bringing Sirianni back is a bad thing.  Can we bring in quality coordinators with a lame duck HC in Sirianni?  Because we know that they CANNOT bring back either coordinator in those roles.   Would any of them come here with Sirianni already on the hot seat?  Because if he comes back... he's one bad season away from being gone... along with all the assistants under him.

I assumed that was factored in to them picking at 25. I just got great news. I almost feel like McKinnstry or DeJean are guaranteed to be there now. But theyve just moved in to a range where they may still land an excellent OT in this deep tackle draft. If they want to piss people off and go with another WR they can have the elite deep threat WR Troy Franklin potentially in that spot.

Im pretty thrilled about that news.

We all knew this loss was coming, and I expected to pick 25th after it. I just got a trade up. I love it.

I think the projections go by record until the playoff results are in.

Vegas is dumb. They’ve favored us for the past several weeks and this team has literally not been competitive.

58% of the money was on the Eagles. They are very smart.

Carter was still busting it when the game was out of hand. One of the best things you could ask to see from him outside of dominating play.

There’s being stoic and there’s being aloof. I’m not sure which one Hurts really is. I can imagine how frustrating it would be to feel like your QB is a brick wall

They should because they could be a season away from becoming the head coach then.

Not sure but does Hurts ever not just sit on the end of the bench?

Talent wise, they shouldn't be.

I agree, at least offensively.

I’m sure we’ll find out tomorrow that Jalen was nursing a torn MCL all season or something.

He's a foundational piece on the defense.

Hurts could give 2 $hits. And we’re stuck with him. I wanted to give him a chance. I wanted him to succeed. But it’s pretty obvious when things go south he’s not the guy you can count on.

He’s too cool for school

I figured we had a better record than any wild card weekend losers so we were going to be picking all the way at 25. Pleasantly surprised.

Next year is the last chance Davis and Nolan Smith have to show they aren’t total busts.

Davis and Dean. Smith the jury is out. He had some nice plays tonight.

Coaching. He was one of the few showing any effort tonight.

Did the Eagles even blitz tonight?
