Every single player on the team regressed expect for Jake Eliot. That only happens when the team has no faith in the HC.

Welp guess we’ll see a repeat NFC East champ next year. New York blows as does Washington, Philly is going to rebuild,  that leaves Dallas.

nope. we have more talent, will have new coaches that Ill just assume will be competent. We will win the division next year.

Did you miss the last TD?

T.O played the SB on a broken leg and AJ sat out because of a knee sprain. I think AJ knew by the week of practice that they weren’t making adjustments and made a phenomenal  business decision.

I don’t get why people say fire the coordinators when the HC did nothing to change anything all season. He’s the head coach. He could’ve taken over play calling and didn’t. He could’ve pressed the issue with running the ball. He could’ve changed schemes to counter the blitz. He could’ve introduced more under center plays.

He had 2 defensive coordinators in one season, neither of which looked better or worse than the other. He lit no fire under anyone, he didn’t fix any of the trams mistakes since week 1. There are much worse rosters in football who had more heart and effort than we did.

This team looked too bad in too many units to blame the coordinators. The fans are turning on him and the players already checked out. No way he stays.

I am all on board with firing Nick.   I was answering the statement that firing a HC that makes the playoffs in each season he's the HC a year removed from a Super Bowl appearance looks bad.  And it does.   I am fine with that, because of how bad it was in the last 7 games.  But, I addressed the concern with overcorrecting.

What talent? I don’t see any talent.

Did McMullen watch the game? We ran a million friggin’ hitches.

Interestingly enough, that was the biggest criticism of Reich’s offense in Carolina. They couldn’t get any YAC because the receivers ran routes that led to static targets. We hit Smitty on a slant against a blitz and I nearly fell out of my chair tonight.

HA HA...HA HA HA...HA HA HA HA...

C'mon, it's the NFC East, that ain't happening.

I think AJ may have sprained his ACL and will have surgery very soon now that the season is over.

If the Eagles never demote Desai do you think the season ends the same way?

AJ wants out. At least they should be able to get a few picks for him.

yeah ok... you need some weeks to decompress.

The hole he's dug losing to the Cardinals and Giants....  inexcusable.  And then just got pantsed AGAIN by Todd Bowles.

Yep. It spiraled on him and he couldn’t recover. We’ll never know the real answer, but the question is how much of this offense truly is Sirianni’s? We know a lot of it is, but to what extent? That’s why I don’t really blame Johnson. We’ve heard a bunch of times that we’re running the same plays. Nick had a quote preseason where they were planning some tweaks to the O but mostly it was about getting better at what they already do. Well others caught up to that.

Yes. The defense wasn’t doing that well with him. They may not have fallen completely off but it still likely happens with a first round exit.

No, defense quit after that

Id say Cox had a pretty good season, considering his age ...

Outside of a few guys the talent is very lacking. They have some young pieces but they greatly disappointed and disappeared the second half of the year.

I can't blame him for choosing to duck this hopeless game after the idiot coaches got him injured for no reason at all.

AJ Brown was the canary in the coal mine.

Thought about this before the game, Hurts has to find a better way to click with his guys on the sideline.

People forget — he’s always been like that.

Go back and watch a game he started late in the 2020 season.  He didn’t even look like he was paying any attention to what Doug was trying to tell him.

Right.

On paper the "playoff success” is nice.

In reality last season we had a bottom schedule and had a cake walk to the SB.

In reality we didn’t put together 4 quarters of football in one game this season, we lost to the Jets, and lost 6 of our last 7. He lost every pivotal game he needed to win. He got first round bounced as an away favorite. His entire team underperformed. Sometimes a first round loss is a failure, and this season has been a showcase that he’s not able to rally the troops or adjust to adversity.

Howie and Lurie see it just like we do.

If you aren't progressing, you're regressing.   Just getting better at what you do, without any new wrinkles means you are stagnant and the rest of the league will pass you.  And they were passed... like they were standing still - because they were.

First order of business in the offseason before firing Sirianni is to make kelly greens the full-time uniforms next season. And paint the end zones kelly green as well. Then new coach. And make next season have a completely fresh season all around. It would breathe so much juice into the fan base.

I don't think so.  That move made the wheels fall off, whether it was because the team didn't believe in Patricia, was confused by schematic changes, etc.

A below average but opportunistic defense turned into the worst defense in team history because of that move.

Yes. The defense lacks talent and Desai couldn't hide it anymore. And the offense is just as much of a problem. The collapse was coming either way.
