To me, Bradberry and Maddox are the obvious post-June 1 cuts.  I’d rather pay Brandon Graham another year’s salary than Maddox

AJ wants out. At least they should be able to get a few picks for him.

That's a big contract to take on...

I'm still seeing Jerrah throw his napkin down and turning around from yesterday when this popped up.

They should do a gentleman’s bet for $1 who can fire their coaching staff in the most epic way possible.

I am all on board with firing Nick.   I was answering the statement that firing a HC that makes the playoffs in each season he's the HC a year removed from a Super Bowl appearance looks bad.  And it does.   I am fine with that, because of how bad it was in the last 7 games.  But, I addressed the concern with overcorrecting.

Things have to be put into perspective. Year 1 a bad division got us in the playoffs. Year 2 it all clicked because Steichen and Gannon helped take a load off Sirianni and Hurts mobility kept a lot of teams on edge. Year 3 is an absolute crap storm and talent is the only thing that helped hide the horrible coaching until these last 7 games, then you saw the bad coaching get exposed.

This has to be the weirdest HC assessment the league has seen in a long time. But there is more to it than Sirianni makings the playoffs in all of his 3 years.

Watch them fire Sirianni and promote Johnson or Desai to head coach.

Sigh

If the Eagles never demote Desai do you think the season ends the same way?

Maybe Desai simplifies the defense and we play a little better. Maybe we sneak out a win against Arizona? Patricia just seemed to exacerbate our deficiencies by dropping DEs into coverage so much or Bradberry 1 on 1 with bad safety play over the top.

AJ is young and talented, I don't think he is an issue...

they went from a bad defense to a bad defense who didnt know what its assignments were. So got even worse.

I dont know that we eek this win out though because today offense seemed like the bigger issue. D today played at Desai level. Not patricia level of suck.

1) Hire Jesse Minter from Michigan to run the defense.  It would be the same scheme as the Ravens.

2) Hire any OC that can spell 'R-U-N'.  We turned things around in 2021 when Sirianni gave the headset to Steichen and we stopped throwing the ball too much.  We clearly drifted back to the early 2021 version without Steichen here to stick with the running game.

3) Put 2/3 of our offseason resources into the defensive back seven.  You don't need to spend day-1 picks on quality LBs or Safeties.

One last item on the offense.  I truly suspect that the scheme is somewhat limited by Hurts' ability and/or preferences.  They rarely run plays from under center.  It is such an asset for the offense to do so.  It sets up play action better.  It would enable more rollouts and boots for Hurts.  (It would have made Penny useful.)  My guess is that Hurts' is uncomfortable with it OR he isn't that good at turning his back to the defense while dropping back and then reading the defense.

I wonder if Nick can hear chiefs fans now.

Ifvv C it wasn’t for a lot of drops early in the year this team wins 6 games.. 8 tops. They never "beat” anyone but Miami somehow. They won 11 games but they didn’t beat anyone.

Yes.  Several times Morrow ran straight into a blocker.

This was the linebacker that they studied, broke down tape on and came out saying, this is our guy. Geez, whoever that is needs to be fired.

Jurgens wasn’t bad this season. What in the world?

The defense may have hated Patricia because most players have hated Patricia.  They likely hated the switch to Patricia because they had to learn and do something new.

But there was lots of chatter about Desai losing the confidence of his players.  Lots.

I think the defense looked the same all season, I just think teams caught on and exploited us. The offense puttered and became predictable as well.

Recency bias.

Jurgens was the least of their problems.

people are dumb. Probably saw him manhandled by Via a few times today and decided he sucked all year.

Yes. The defense lacks talent and Desai couldn't hide it anymore. And the offense is just as much of a problem. The collapse was coming either way.

The offense had talent though and they just fell apart, they couldnt or wouldnt run the ball, they never made any adjustments to the blitz, after Hurts hurt his knee he wasnt fhe running threat he was but BJ kept treating defenses like they were scared of hurts as a running threat.

Just a poorly coached called and implemented offense from the start.

Who would have thought the drop off from Steichen would be so steep???

Steen was good enough to dress. We just make bad decisions. Remember we dressed 4 RBs ton run the ball 12 times lol

Anyone wanting AJ gone needs to have their head checked he made 2nd team all pro with this fboy coaching staff

This clip was it for me. I knew right then he wasn’t it. Shame on me for not accepting it prior to his antics after that game.
