He didn’t have any answer. He did nothing to help Jalen. Nothing at all! Jalen is terrible in the pocket under pressure. If that’s a known issue then it’s the coaches job to help him. Sirianni didn’t do anything at all. He let free rushers come like he wanted Hurts to get killed. No hot routes. Nothing.

This media crap is terrible, they dissect every little stupid thing and conjure crap up when there's nothing there.

So the best WR and best TE both are visibly frustrated towards the QB on the sideline and you think it’s the big bad media?

I dont know what you want him to do other than maybe come in and throw it for Jalen. There were often open WRs for him on blitzes that he just wouldnt throw to.

Monken is the guy I want. He will run the ball and he did a great job with Lamar when he was sliding south.

The most important part is that he's not a young guy. Just look at the resume.

Now THAT'S the kind of resume you want in a head coach, F the hiring young nonsense. Way too risky.

Siri's menu was fine last year with a different OC.

Menus get stale. Schemes get figured out. We ran the same stuff for the most part.

Teams figured out last year's menu and he was too stupid or stubborn to change the menu this year.

Georgia? Hired

Coaches make players better and attempt to hide their weakness. We ran the same exact concepts against blitzes over and over for several weeks. There’s an unlimited combinations of formations, route concepts, and player personnel to solve problems for your offense. We don’t run the ball to combat the blitz. We don’t move the pocket. We can’t run hard play action. Hurts is flawed, but the coaches have made no adjustments and we just get hammered by the same issue over and over. Take the ball out of his hands, pound it on the ground, open up PA and get him moving. Some quick rhythm timing throws, and keep it simple. We’re not going to win many games running the ball 5x a half.

They are not going to fire Sirianni. Hopefully they can hire an OC with the understanding he gets the title later afrer Johnson is hopefully hired elsewhere. I give that about 1 week and when he doesnt land a job he can go too.

Nah Nick is gone.  What does he bring to the table? He doesn't have any functional offense.  He doesn't coach defense nor have a functional DC.  Just rip off the bandaid and bring in somebody who advances the team.

I would add that they need somebody who will move forward Hurts and the offense.  They tried to run it back with Sirianni/BJ but the league has caught on.  For a Qb with the work ethic/talent of Hurts and the weapons around him, you need continual advancement and improvement not running the same thing he has done since college.

Such a "strong leader" that the team quit on him the last third of the season and flamed out in spectacular fashion.

Make it make sense.

Quit on him or quit on what was clearly 2 terrible coordinators, a QB who looked baffled half the time, and a tragically flawed defense?

I want to hear Hurts say he absolutely sucks against the blitz, backpedals like he's being chased by a grizzly bear, and that he is holding this team back by having no vision or ability to step up in the pocket.

Then I will believe.

yeah.

Clearly Johnson sucked.

What no one knows is what Siri's NFL style offense would look like with his college QB running it. We can do trial by fire and see if Hurts has developed enough to run a real offense since his RPO crap has been figured out. The guy with no answers was Hurts. Its blatantly obvious.

had nothing to do with Siri's intelligence. He was handcuffed with this QB that requires the team to run this stale RPO offense.

Next year run an NFL offense. Let Hurts sink or swim. If he sucks it up, put in McKee and watch them flourish again.

Watching Hurts talk reminds me of one of the biggest reasons this team fell in love with a Center. He wears his heart on his sleeve, and shows emotion just as much as we do as fans. Jalen’s tone came off as IDGAF, we’ll learn from it, turn a negative into a positive, etc. I know he’s not gonna have a meltdown at the podium but F man, don’t be such a robot.

Totally agree. I don’t know if I’m worried more about Hurts actually QB ability or his demeanor and how it could affect guys like Smitty, Goedert and Brown. Yea I know they are boys and all but I find it a little funny that AJ had a sideline spat, Smitty voiced frustration and our #3, #4 and #5 receivers literally played zero role in any success this year on offense. Goedert is too soft spoken to say anything but even his targets were down. Hurts had a bad year, don’t let those total TDs fool you.

If the world can see that Siri brings 0 to the table, you know Lowie has known for some time.

When they were winning, people praised Hurts for being all business and stoic.

There are lots of clips of him getting very passionate in the locker room, in pre-game, screaming and hyping guys up.  He goes in front of the media the same way Andy Reid did.  All business, don't give them anything.  He's pissed about the loss, he's not running for political office and has to put on some show.  Reid was the same, he would be screaming and excited with the players in the locker room then a snooze fest in press conferences.

I don't care if Hurts or any player is stoic or boring in press conferences, I care what they do on the field.  They all probably hate that they are force to talk to the media and answer questions, especially immediately after a loss.

I get it. I do. But he will never be beloved in this city like Kelce is.

I think we need to stop using 2022 as some barometer. In 10 years we're going to look back at it as a total anomaly that isn't repeatable. So many things happened last year that were once in a lifetime lightning in a bottle. It would be a mistake to expect anyone to get back to that. I hope in Lurie's evaluations he operates like 2022 doesn't even exist and evaluates the team for what it is this year.

Are you Nick Sirianni's wife or something?  Or his agent?

I hope that we get a report sometime this week Mariota was spotted in the parking lot after the game crushing Coors Lights and throwing the football to himself because he was convinced the Eagles would have won had they put him in.

You can’t blame Hurts for bland route concepts. You can run some cool concepts that are easy reads. Blaming Hurts for that is lame, but predictable.

Roster-wise, Howie's goal this offseason is to completely remake the back 7 and set it up for the future. The offense is well set, except for RG if Kelce retires and Jurgens moves to center. And no, Steen or Opeta shouldn't just be handed RG. But aside from that it's time to start investing in the back 7 early and often with their best assets, cap room, and picks.

It has everything to do with the coach's intelligence.  His "menu" was figured out and he's not intelligent enough to adjust it into a new "menu".
