If that play happens 10 times, how many times does he drop that ball?

I’d speculate probably 5 times.

There’s nothing wrong with saying that we were fortunate or lucky that it happened to go our way on this one.

If the Eagles and Chiefs meet in the Super Bowl, we won’t have the rain again. We will have to play better in order to win that game.

You're one of those guys into the luck thing. That's cool.

Obtuse...is that something related to luck that I don't subscribe to?

I’m into reality.

Reality is Scantling could have just as easily made the catch. We were fortunate that he didn’t this time.

If we play the Chiefs in the Super Bowl, we better execute a hell of a lot better that we did last night or we’ll lose again.

Would have, could have, in this reality... he ddrroppppped ittttttt. Maybe some other spideyverse out there he catches it.

You're right, But the Chiefs are saying the same thing. And the reality is that if both teams execute the same, the outcome is likely the same. Eagles made plays when it mattered. The Chiefs didn't. Next game will be a whole new game, not a replay of this game.

The Chiefs would have to play better too in order for them to win.

My guess is that Hurts doesn't get sacked 5 times in the 1st half if Goedert was able to play.

Ok, but you’ve moved the goalposts to a whole different discussion.

It was a one-score game.  There were dozens of plays the shifted the balance in the game.  The MVS drop was one that is easy to identify.

There is a randomness to football.  It may look like luck to some. In many ways it resembles poker.  The better players won't win every hand.  But over time, the randomness favors them if they continue make wise bets.

Betting against the KC WRs was a wise one.

How so?

I’m tapping out.

Y’all want to be chesty about this win, be my guest.

Good win, good game plan, fortunate that it worked out the way it did.

But that team is absolutely capable of taking us down in the Super Bowl again, even with their sub par receivers.

I know it was, and I was probably the first person on here to acknowledge that last night.

But just because you have a good plan, doesn’t guarantee that end result.

We were fortunate this time that it worked out.

I moved the goal posts in a pretend scenario?

I was stating that I believe the Eagles offense is better all around when Goedert is there even if it's only to block. The Eagles didn't look terrific last night ... without him.

By adding in the variable of players that weren’t on the field.

We have no idea who will be healthy or not if we play them again.

It’s fine, but it’s not the discussion we were having.

Both teams have to get to the Super Bowl first. Slow your roll. A lot of football to go.

I don't think anyone is saying the Eagles are unbeatable.

It kills me when people say "you were fortunate to win in a close game that came down to the wire". If the pass was caught and the Chiefs won they would have been fortunate to win. Teams that win by 40 points are fortunate to win - they just got fortunate a lot. Both teams played bad but the Eagles played better and won. You want to cheapen their victory by pointing out the Chiefs coulda done this or that.  Brian Johnson could have called a better game. The Eagles offensive line could have blocked better. Jalen Hurts could have hit Brown in stride and he would have went for a TD but instead he threw it low and was intercepted. Both teams could have played better. There are many coulda's.

No, I’ll speculate on it because it has a pretty decent possibility of happening.

I’m not going any of this. Some of you are seriously sensitive.

I’m assuming this also includes streaming as well right? Why can’t they compete with 90s NFL

Regarding luck --- the chiefs were lucky that on this TD, holding wasn't called. Reddick, Sweat and Cox were all held and all had a legit path to the QB if not for the holds.

... and that was the story of the game all night. Sure, they missed some calls against the Eagles that the announcers caught, but no mention about the blatant holds all night long by the KC offense.

Seriously, you guys need to get a grip. You don’t need to start trying to sell me on the win.

We won the game, in their house. It was a very good win.

None of my comments are taking away from that.

But I’m also not so delusional as to think that they are incapable of yanking another Lombardi from us if we meet them again.

Intentional or not, the answer is yes.

Remember when Reagor dropped all those balls and we were like... yeah... he'll get the next one.

Me neither... lol. KC fans want MVS gone and are like don't ever throw that guy the ball again. Eagles fans are more confident that MVS will catch the next one than KC fans lol. Go figure. 9-1.... wooooooo.

That's not luck, that's a carefully constructed NFL conspiracy.
