Didn’t notice the Albert O snaps (10) despite the Calcaterra injury… I thought that BJ responded with more 10 personnel.

Blankenship needs more targets on offense :)

There's another word for "randomness" and it's "luck"

The strategy was good but the execution was piss-poor and therefore we had to rely on luck.

Randomness, luck, fortune, variance. Whatever. On that particular play, it went our way big time in an incredibly high leverage spot.

Your last sentence was spot on.

Captain Luck retired a few years ago.

We get it.

This was a lucky play and the Chiefs only won the Super Bowl because of luck last year. Would they be so lucky again this year? Apparently, we shouldn't count on it ...

Ugh, don't remind me of that. 14 point swing the way they were playing.

Excellent design by the Chiefs on that play.

Anyone replying to me about "calculated risks” is missing the point completely.

And not to mention it appeared to be a coverage bust. I seriously doubt we intended to triple cover Kelce on a 7-yard route on 2nd and 10 at midfield.

Very few places on earth can be as exhausting as the blog on what otherwise should be a fairly non-controversial aspect of a football game.

And that's why we love it so much.

Lucky Charms is such a stupid cereal name. It’s designed to taste good! It’s not luck at all.

While on the subject of luck, there were two (2) throws to Brown that could have/should have been TDs.

Luck evens out over time.

Calculated Diabetes Risk would be better.

Arguments of semantics are the life blood of the blog

That's an elite observation.

Anyway, since we've got another Game of the Week, that means only the 2 Commander games haven't been broadcast in my market (technically the Pitt market).

And for those games I streamed them for free.  Still not sure how it's legal other than to say "gambling," but its worked out beautifully in my first year without Sunday Ticket.

If we were a powerhouse like the Jets I probably wouldn't need streams at all

You are thinking at a much more granular/specific/instantaneous/execution level than the thinking of my tactical level comment.  I could just as easily say that your reply is completely missing my point.

Cripes, Matt. You were replying directly to me and my point and in doing so completely missed the point.

Good lord, you guys.

The "black lining in a silver cloud” take.

Some people just want to relentlessly find ways to be better.  Oh well.

Not that I think both can happen but if they can beat the 49ers and Dallas in their house there is no reason they shouldn't get back to the SB.

I've mentioned before but I'd love to see a win in Dallas.  Something we haven't done in awhile and I feel it would boost their confidence even more getting a win there when it's been difficult to do.

There is a simple reason for that ... lots of the posters in the Blog want to be right ... and they see being right as a zero sum proposition.

I disagree wholeheartedly.  The definition of luck is "when preparation meets opportunity."   As a result luck favors the people who are better prepared.

It's okay to be fortunate and to acknowledge good fortune.  The Eagles were fortunate MVS dropped a sure TD pass, and were also fortunate the Chiefs didn't convert their 4th and 25 play when the Eagles allowed Justin Watson to get open on a 27-yard route.  Even a bit of good fortune Slay wasn't called for early contact on the play.

The Eagles are 9-1 and very likely to be the #1 seed in the NFC.  I believe they will win at home against BUF and SF to go 11-1.  Barring a lapse in preparation there should be 3 wins at the end of the season against the NYG (2X) and ARI.

It's a fact of life in today's NFL a team can go 13-4 or 14-3 and still have deficiencies that need to be worked on.

Actually it is a pillar, and with 10 Pillars you have a Greek Temple.

I have said many, many times in the Blog over the years that for most questions I do not believe there is one right answer ... many answers are right.  It all depends on how the question is framed.

But the true question is... did anyone get "lucky" last night? If you're married, I already know the answer lol. If you were up all night with me arguing about luck, I also already know the answer ha.
