I'm enjoying all this luck talk nationally. Give the Eagles a chip on their shoulders.

overblown. Look at our own red zone turnovers, 1st down turnovers, lack of tipped INTs (just watch the Jets game), incorrect offsides calls on the tush push, etc.

Do you need some fortune? Sure. But we'd be what...8-2 instead? Because we much better than the Jets.

I thought Solak made an interesting point about the drops and the defense.  KC was forced to make shorter throws which led to more plays in a drive.  More plays led to more opportunities for drops.  It's a fair point and is part of the Fangio theory. Luck occurs in any game but dropped passes aren't luck. They are a talent issue.

Try catching a wet ball running at full speed, leaning forward, reaching with your fingertips.  I wouldn’t record that as a drop.

Then stop arguing semantics with everyone…

I think you're confused. It's Manu that's getting piled on for calling us lucky. To be clear, I agree with him, but I think you meant to reply to him there.

Time to see more Boston Scott, Rashard Penny and Albert O before we are done here. On offense, would  love to see them expand on creative  Swift-centric formations. Get the ball more in Devante's hands on motion plays. Even Covey could work there. Also more two back formations please. The read option needs a few more snaps as well. Need to keep these defenses honest and be more creative. Chiefs had too many easy plays to defend last week.

With Michael Thomas going to IR, which contract extension was worse: his or Stephen Strasburg?

Didn't Quez have a MVS level drop in the Superbowl that could have won us the game? Would people here consider KC lucky because that happened, or are we just chalking it up to a not very good player being not very good? It's a bit of both sure but imo it's more the latter.

I very much liked the plays where both Swift and scott were on the field.  It makes the job of the D much more difficult.

Watkins' drop was sort of like Watson's in that Slay had contacted Watson, and a Chiefs player had grabbed Watkins' shoulder at the point of the catch.  Still a ball he should have caught, but not as egregious as MVS' drop.

One comment I got a chuckle out of was someone saying Andy needed Desean Jackson in that moment.  What the F for?  So Jackson could catch it and leave it on the ground before crossing the goal line??

He only did that like 3 times.

Have no problem getting Watkins speed back in the lineup. Just split time with him and Julio and that platoon could work. It's time to unleash Albert O this week. Grant C and Stoll need to hit the shelf.

We had 1:40 left with 3 timeouts and only needed a FG. We would have been fine

The Bills defense is really bad. This is a get right game for the offense. Sub 28 points is a bad performance.

Building on the luck/good fortune theme, were there any injuries Monday night?

Calcaterra limped off and never returned. I don't assume it's anything serious but I wouldn't be shocked if he misses the Bills game. Also, didn't Milton Williams get concussed? Status for Buffalo unclear.

Think it has been assumed Williams has a concussion. Zangaro is only guy I saw who outright said that. All others said, he was being "evaluated" for it. Should know more today.

@mattwill

Eagles  38

Bills 17

3+ Sacks and 2+ picks

Sorry for the broken record but I still don't understand what the Eagles see in Gainwell over Boston Scott. We're told KG is this superior pass blocking RB but every time I see him in there on a passing play he's getting blown up as much as the next guy. Scott has so much more juice in his game. I'd love to see if Covey can do anything on a WR screen but I don't think they have any plans to put him in on offense.

He was eventually ruled out during the game so in the least, he's in the protocol

Strasburg because Nats never got insurance on it so on the hook for it all.

I have a weird feeling that this Bills game is going to be an absolute handful. Even tougher than the Chiefs game. Not necessarily based on outcome, the Chiefs game obviously came down to the wire, but the Chiefs and Eagles both didn’t play particularly great in that game, but I think the Bills are goin to play well. The Bills are kinda desperate, their offense is dangerous it just makes a lot of mistakes, but the biggest reason I’m uneasy about it is it’s sandwiched between two revenge games. The Chiefs and then the Niners for whining and talking all that trash all off-season, you know the Eagles had that game circled.

Id be super impressed if the Eagles came out and played their best game in this spot, this is a classic letdown situation. The good thing is if anyone would play their best game here, it’s the Eagles. They don’t have a ton of letdowns under Sirianni and Hurts. But if there’s one spot they would, it’s this. Could see them falling behind early again if they come out flat and having to come back. Still gonna pick ‘em to win because they’re the better team, but we’ll see.

I don't know what to expect with this game.  You could be right about it from the Bills' perspective.  OTOH, this could be a let down game for the Bills.  They are heading into a bye and going on the road coming off of a division game.  I am not sure what to expect.  The Bills have a better running game than they have had in past seasons.  They have a serviceable TE.  I think Gabe Davis is like a Quez Watkins.  He's not a true number 2 WR.  Allen can force throws and his lack of touch has led to turnovers this year.  Like Mahomes and Dak, he is mobile and tough to bring down.  It's not an easy task for the defense.

I do think the Eagles match up well against their defense.  They are susceptible to the run.  The Eagles should be able to move the ball against them but if they just try to pass against them I imagine the Bills will up their blitzes and be willing to send DB's given how the Eagles struggled against the blitz in KC.

The Eagles are more talented and will win if they execute.  They are at home and that is an advantage for this team.  They are coming off of a win where they are being given no credit.  I mean if you listened to the announcers you would have thought that the Chiefs had won.  I think they will have a chip on their shoulder.

Bradley Roby actually shouted boo at him which scared the ball from his hands.
