He's taking the job isn't he?

It's definitely debatable. Hurts is absolutely top 3 IMO, however.

Not until he starts beating teams with a winning record.

That's attributing team stats to the QB. Tua's stats are in the top at his position

Lynch asleep with Howie too!

What we have learned here is that in Vegas, the house always wins.

I can't take anyone seriously that can't acknowledge the huge impact QBs have on winning and losing.  It is absolutely a QB stat.

And that head-cases going to play in Vegas always works out well...right?

At least they are on the right track by getting rid of all those ex-Patriot coaches/personnel to bring in more ex-Patriots

After Hurts outplays Mahomes again this weekend (and hopefully wins this time), we are going to be talking about a Jalen Hurts MVP Award. Mahomes will be yesteryear and there will be a new sheriff in town. I think Eagles are going in this weekend looking for respect, as an underdog, which is when they are at their best. And retribution will be paid for a terrible field and terrible officiating at last year's Superbowl. I'm sure Hurts still has that Superbowl red confetti shot as a Screensaver on his phone. Combine those factors and I expect Hurts  to be jacked up this weekend along with AJ & Devonta. This one was circled on their calendar.

This upcoming game vs the Chiefs I almost wish they'd put someone on Kelce all game maybe even double him and take him out the game.  Too many times teams just play zone coverage on him and he just finds openings and sits down for Mahomes to get him the ball.

Make someone else besides Kelce beat you.

I would still take Burrow over Hurts.

With that said, Hurts continues to improve so that might not be true for long.

So even though his other stats are near the top at his position you believe his record trumps it all?

What do you think VanSumeren is for?

Mahomes

Burrow

Hurts

I honestly don't know who is 4th. Can make an argument for any of Lamar/Allen/Herbert, and maybe prematurely for Stroud.

There is no way Burrow is #2, leading a last place 5-4 Bengals team and after a horrid start. Hurts has supplanted him in my mind, since last year's performance on the biggest stage. If it weren't for a late season injury, Hurts is MVP last year. I think he's right on that path this year and edges Mahomes.

Lamar I can understand because of how important he is to that team...Allen and Herbert? no way, haven't won big games, Allen has gotten there but not won...Herbert hasn't even gotten there. Aside from going to the SB the stats for Cousins and Dak are very similar to Hurts...they however have a much larger body of work to judge...Hurts means more to his team than most starting QBs do and the team lives and dies with him at the position...that is why he is the most critical, and deserves to be discussed among the top QBs...not because of stats, but because of how critical he is to the teams success, same can be said for Tua, and Lamar.

Yes.  I think if you want to be considered a great QB then you need to show up and beat the good teams when you face them.

What was Foles W/L record with the Eagles? If that’s all that matters, why did you hate him then?

He was a huge part of why we lost the Saints playoff game in 2013.  The plays were there to be made in the first half and he was missing them every time.  Should have jumped up and put them away never did.  Plus most of his success in 2013 was just pure luck falling his way.  Plus he didn't really beat anyone.  The only team he beat that season that made the playoffs was the Packers but they were on their 2nd or 3rd string QB in that game.  Incredibly inconsistent player.

Plus he was made of glass.
