The vast majority of defensive coordinators in the league play bend defense nowadays. And I'd say Desai's overall is one of the least bend heavy ones around because they tend to jump on most teams when there's any penalty or sack, etc.

Can people maybe be realistic with the current state of the NFL when talking about what they want in coordinators? We haven't had a Defensive Coordinator who DIDN'T play that SINCE Jim Johnson.

Purdy might not be great but he doesn’t have to be if aiyuk, Samuel, cmc and Williams are healthy. I don’t think talent wise he’s a top 10 Qb. But i know he doesn’t have to be for that offense to be really good. Tbh their offense just needs him not to make dumb mistakes. Cause it’s reliant on just he yeh ball to cmc, deebo and aiyuk and they’re good enough to make this engine run
