I never ascribe to this abstract crap, but the whole Hurts "just being a winner” thing really came into play today.  He had an objectively bad game, yet he really willed them to that.

Well... he got bailed out a little by #4.    Without that guy... its just an ugly loss.    And without the defense finding a way (despite the gaffe by Buffalo at the end)... also just an ugly loss.

BUT... there is something to teams that are used to being in the crucible.   This team knows what to do in those situations, and their opponents are making mistakes when they can't afford to do it.    Are the other teams losing the game?  Yup.   But why?  Because they blink and the Eagles aren't blinking.

Well... we've got SF next week, and Dallas after that.

No way they win both.......can they?

I'd be thrilled with 1-1.

This team. I don’t know how they win these games, but as frustrating as they are, they are even more gritty and tough minded.

Winners win.

WINNERS WANT THE BALL!

10-1. We're not a fluke.

This feels good.

Jalen Hurts Jake Elliott is way underpaid.

Wrong guy.

The defense fought hard that game. Wasn’t pretty or perfect but they got the job done in the end. And that’s getting the ball back to the offense.

In the McNabb days, we used to dream about having a QB this clutch.

He's here.

So the gameplan is to just hang around by halftime then they will turn it on 2nd half.

No. You are missing the crucial part of start the third making no adjustments and somehow looking even worse.

Hoping Lane is back next week.

FYI: I had to take three blood pressure pills during this game, and this is now my ghost posting.

Gotta give it to the offence 2nd half onwards

First half, they were offensive.   Second half they were an offense.

So does Brian Johnson get credit for scoring 37 points in a horrific rainstorm or does he only matter when the offense struggles?

Hurts scored all 5 TDs. Him and Elliott deserve this win.

The D was just lucky and along for the ride.

the offense gave the bills two of their tds with the turnovers. the offense was great second half and overtime. were a disaster that helped contribute to the 13 point deficit we were in. Hard to blame the defense for  all of the 14 points off turnovers when offense gives the bills starting possessions at the eagles 29 and 36.

That game will have taken a long out of the legs of the team. Short week, bad weather, but no travel.  Gotta hope some of those injuries are minor

Defense gave up 500+ yards. Hurts won this game in 2nd half.

That was an elite Allen game

when the replay comes on I can watch OT in peace

Hey Bills

Ironically we scored the most points yet this year without him. Did anyone pay attention to how Driscoll played? Was distracted by the rest of the craziness

No Lane, no Goedert, no Cox, no Milton, lost Cunningham...no problem.

NEXT MAN UP

Already seen this game: no Lane, week before a big matchup, offense plays uninspired at every level and defense tries to hang in.

Expectations subverted!

The defense was on the field for probably two games worth of snaps because of the offense's ineptitude for 2.5 quarters (as always)

People get used to this because it happens every game, so the idea is that the defense should 'just deal with it'. Lol.

We play at 4pm next week, how is it a short week?

Man, false starting Jake into a 100 yard FG and he makes it (hyperbole intended) and I had not given up.  Allen drives the Bills to a score and I am glad the defense held them to 3 and I hadn’t given up.  Eagles drive, albeit with  drama (that AJ drop that looked a bit like a fumble did give me pause) and I hadn’t given up.  Swift makes an incredible run and I said, I think we are going to win this one.  Then Jalen on the draw.  10-1. Need three more wins in the gauntlet.  Bring on Purdy.  We can do this.
