Well that's game. Closer than I would've thought beforehand.

Did Quez play today?

Also…someone should watch Julio on the all-22.  I haven’t really followed him, but I just wonder if he’s a total stationary object that is wasting the offense’s time.

I asked this earlier with the all 22, haven’t gotten to watch the chiefs game nor has this game’s all 22 come out yet. It’s why i asked if anyone watched and saw what the chiefs did to take aj out of the game. but feels like the since the goedert injury teams are taking away aj brown at all cost and forcing the eagles to have to beat them with swift, smith, julio, Stoll, Oz and Watkins in the passing game. Some of it is opponents have had better pass defenses. and some of it is i think teams are saying we aren’t going to allow aj brown to just go off against us. It’s why i think the passing game hasn’t been nearly as dynamic as it was for that stretch of games heading into the Dallas game. I do think once goedert returns it’s harder to do that as he can beat repeatedly in the middle of the field and it opens things up for smith and brown. Frankly wish we’d run more screens to swift. It could be a huge thing against the niners pass rush.

This is getting nutty so I did a bit of digging.

Jim McMahon had a weird career.

He was 34-3 over 37 games but he did not start more than 11 games in a year over those 5 years.

The Bears D was ranked 3/1, 1/1, 1/1, 4/2, and 1/2 in those 5 years.

He was also 8-3 with the 1991 Eagles (D 5/1 and best recorded DVOA back to about 1980)

He was 8-4 on the 1993 Vikings (12/1)

He was an elite game manager who took lots of beatings and got back up. He's paying for it mentally now.

Brady is the best unless Mahomes keeps this up for 10 more years, but even his record was done during that insane back to back SB teams of 2003-2004

Those D's were 1/7 and 2/9 and he had 1 more win week 1 of 2005 with a bad D of 17/26

The Eagles D with Hurts on his 27-2 streak

18/10 (3 games)  8/2 (15 games)  15/14 (11 games) * that 15/14 is going to be worse tomorrow when the stats update

Hurts has been a guiding force. He now has four game-winning drives on the season -- doubling his career total coming into the campaign. He also has the second-best winning percentage after trailing by 10-plus points (.450) by starting quarterbacks since 1950, behind only Patrick Mahomes of the Kansas City Chiefs (.560).

I am really not that surprised with the ravens. They play up and down to their opponent. When you go look at some of their games, they destroyed the lions and the Seahawks. But then they were in a fight with the Cardinals, titans and the chargers.

@e-a-g-l-e-s eagles! They better fine him for that.

Knowing the nfl they’ll probably fine the eagles wide receiver for a block instead

Jordan Davis’ improvement this year has been encouraging to see. He’s a monster in the middle. Left everything out on the field today too. He fights. Him and Carter as the two centerpieces on the defensive line moving forward is going to be fun.

This feels like the kick he made his rookie year when the team just started feeling special.

I’m at a point where I just feel like we’ll eke out a W no matter what.

This is the 49ers Super Bowl. They're well rested while we're coming off an OT game. We're banged up.

49ers are probably going to win. But we'll win the rest of our games and still get the #1 seed.

I don’t know, I’m kind of tired of hearing about this gauntlet and brutal stretch of games they’ve had. They are the gauntlet. They are the ones other teams should fear, not vice versa. This team is winning games and coming up when it matters with their C+ game. Their home field advantage is real and Purdy is the one who has to come in on the road and win here. Maybe San Fran gets them, but sooner or later this team is going to put together an A game and blow a team’s doors in.

Hurts was 2nd team all-pro last year and 2nd in MVP voting.

He was leading the MVP betting odds going into this week and he was way more impressive than Mahomes and Lamar today. (possible NFC offensive player of the week)

5 TDs to 2 TDs to 1 TD

He's 27-2 in his last 29 with 43 TDs 16 picks a rating around 99 and 26 rushing TDs in those 29 games.

Howie was ridiculed and insulted for drafting him in the middle of round 2. People were nasty and unprofessional about it. (I'm talking people who write and analyze for a living were nasty)

Howie >>> Everyone else

I still really struggle to think of Hurts’ overall performance this year as league MVP worthy…he’s been really uneven for a guy to win the league MVP.

Good view of Hurts’ winning TD from the stands. Notice that Kelce doesn’t even watch the play - just stares out at the fans with his fist up like he knew

Tyreek Hill deserves it but it’s become a QB award.

After watching it 4-5 times, I think I agree.  Hurts hit OZ in the chest after scrambling 20 yards away from his throwing side and directing him where to go, on the run.  Absolutely amazing play.

I had to listen to the game on the radio, so this is the first time I’ve seen this.  Shorter throw, but eerily similar to me to the TD the Bills gave up to Kyler Murray/DeAndre Hopkins.
