His bank account would have slapped him in the face for each million he pissed away with that decision.

Cost him millions if he did but might cost him a chance to ever be a HC again.

Given how often we run QB draws, leaving nobody in the middle of field was an interesting defensive choice.

You know how interviews go. Management always makes thing sound great to get the position filled by their desired candidate.

I understand that. My point is, I wonder if Reich directly asked them which qb they were taking. If they danced around the question or straight up said they were taking Young, then that's on him for taking the job.

Yeah... that's the hard part about facing the 49ers next week, who are coming off playing Thanksgiving.  They will be well rested.  Eagles will be beaten up.     BUT, if they can gut out another win, the game against Dallas takes on almost no importance.   Just win the last 4 after that and the Dallas game is irrelevant.

If we beat SF and then win the final 3 we would win the tie breaker vs Dallas even if we lose to Dallas and Seattle.

Rebutting the narrative that Reich and Flip were the reason for Pederson's early success.

Doug took the right job in the right location at the right time.  Not much pressure to win in JAX, the franchise QB already in place (although I'd argue he's not a top 10 QB), and the perfect scenario he was able to repeat from PHI -- being the emotionally intelligent head coach replacing a coach who was a trainwreck at dealing with grown men.

A lot of criticism of the OC even though the offense is scoring only one point less per game than last season, even though we are turning the ball over 50% more often.

I think Johnson has done a nice job with Hurts, especially getting him more comfortable with passing from within the pocket;  better at going to his 2nd/3rd reads and making better decisions.

His offensive play designs have been decent for the most part but I believe Sirianni designs a good portion of the plays.

His play calling seems to be "ok” for the most part but he tends to call (about) a half dozen "head scratchers” almost every game.

Now I’m not sure how many of those "head scratchers” are due to Hurts changing/calling the play or him but they are evident and the main reason some of the fan base has been highly critical of him at times.

For me personally, I feel the jury is still out and really depends on how this offense looks for the remainder of the season and how they look/how well they do in the post-season.

My 2 Cents.

Frankly, the panthers or a poorly run organization. They have been. Their biggest issue over the last 4-5 years has been The offensive line has been one of the worst in the league. It is really hard for half a decade to have that be one of the worst positions of any team in the league and find ways to get worse at that position.

I am not a Ryan Poles fan, but he easily won that trade at the time that trade was made. Hated it for the panthers then. It looks worse now. I didn’t love bryce young to begin with. I thought stroud was the better prospect and i usually dislike Ohio state QBs. I also didn’t love their oline or weapons after making that move for young to have any real chance at success as a rookie. Frankly thought he would’ve been held out for the first 8-9 games to protect him.

I see what you're doing here.

The "Fork Pointer" is awesome.  Gonna get me one.

The turnovers and Hurts' knee are far bigger reasons the offense this season "doesn't look the same" as last year than play calling. In addition to the competition in general just being tougher.

Last season the Eagles running game was far more dominant. The Eagles could go on 14 play drives where 11 plays were runs and still drive 80 yards and get into the end zone. No one could stop the running game. This season not so much. The Eagles could always fall back to that last season when the passing game was going through a rough patch and also teams knew that and had to worry about it so they could never fully commit to stopping the Eagles passing attack. This season Hurts inability to beat defenders on the edge has changed so much. It's affected the running game clearly and also affected how teams defend the Eagles. The good news is looks like he's getting healthier and even with the knee issue they're 10-1 and finding ways to win games and Hurts is developing as a passer.

Time to get away from the RPOs, we are rewarded by an INT, a fumble and tentative QB runs. Straight handoffs please, and find the open guy in the pass game.

We are gonna learn a lot about sirianni and Johnson play calling and gameplan this week against the niners. The chiefs were the best defense we have faced so far this year and we had mixed results. I thought spags outcoached sirianni/Johnson for a large portion of that game but eagles talent eventually came through and won the game. Imo niners defense is the best defense we will likely play against this year. They have an elite pass rush and very physical. They have weaknesses in their secondary. They’ve given up over 24 points once this year. If the offense is able to put up points and not turnover the ball vs the niners we can really beat any defense in this league and less concerns going forward. However if we struggle and offense can’t score and turn it over then it’s an issue as it’s pretty likely we are gonna run into the niners again in the postseason.

Romo's "That was a horsecollar" and "That was a catch" were two of the worst real time takes in quite some time.

I mean he also said "Bills can tie it with a FG" twice being down by 4 and then wondered if Eagles would fake the FG at the end of regulation by "putting Diggs out on the boundary" in the same game.

True... but professionally... it hurt him to stay.

Flip is an interesting one. He isn’t even in the league anymore. Crazy to look back at 2017 and see how some of the careers turned out.

Being in the NFL or slumming it up with Adam Caplan. Tough choice there.

Lol at Bills fans wanting a horse collar on this play.  Hasson Reddick is just a Baaaaddd Man!! Can't wait to see him b**ch slam Purdy again!!

I’m not sure resigning on the spot would help him get hired again either. Then again, a team hired Josh McDaniel after reneging on a deal.

I think the rb motion was a wrinkle that paired with their man call created the opportunity.

that said the block by Kelce on the play was ridiculous

Sounds about right . Because I remember during the draft process, there was a tweet that reich wanted Stroud and he was told they were going to go young.

I remember Reich saying to Stroud at his pro-day something to the extent of "can't wait to have you in Carolina"

I think it was a straight bust by the Bills. Two players went with Swift. That motion wasn’t new.

Special teams have really taken a positive step lately. Jobe is an animal as a gunner and has made some big tackles, Mann is bombing punts, Jake is Jake, Covey has been a great returner this season, Carter had a blocked FG yesterday. It feels like they have finally turned into an efficient unit.
