This offense is anything but high flying to be frank.  Jake from State Farm and Swift are the real MVP’s of the O this year IMO.  AJ deserves huge credit for the stats he’s piled up, but the O spends too much time for long stretches being completely inept to really praise them.  When they forget that Swift exists, they stall…magically they remember to use him and everything starts working again.  Also, I need to take a look at All 22 if I can, but the passing game concepts seem to be college level at best.

People seem to say the passing concepts are simple but it's not like football is rocket science.  They are using the multiple route concepts to beat coverage looks. The offense isn't a fits and starts offense.  They are 3rd in the league in 3rd down conversions.  They are not as dominant as last season but they are a top 5 offense in the League.

mmm interesting probably will get interviews but like gannon probably year away from getting a job. but if there is 12 vacancies maybe he can get a job. i know a lot of fans will be happy. but i wouldnt want to lose BJ after just a year. this is honestly where i can see Nick really bringing in Frank.

It'll be a battle.

I'll add this. Sometimes the team that wins the Super Bowl isn't your best team like last year's team. It's the team that isn't as good but somehow gets it done in a weird way. This team might have that magic. Knock on wood.

I think the same could be said for the World Series. I don't think by any stretch of the imagination that the 1980 Phillies was their best team of that era. But they got hot in September and carried it through the rest of the way.

I think the worry of overusing Swift has been blown a bit out of proportion. IMO, they aren't using him enough. At some point, you just have to play your best players and guys who put you in the best position to win games. Hell, Lane Johnson is more injury prone than Swift.

Not about being injury prone or not. They need him fresh as possible for the playoff run. When defenses are slowing down and banged up you have backs with plenty of tread left on the tires. That's a position that can be burned out over the course of the season. Not far off from how they managed Sanders last year. I always look at Mcaffrey and how he's going to be toast come play off time if they play 6 more games with his usage rate.

Part of the scouting report needs to include which opposing QBs are flopping pieces of ish so that the DL/LBs know to be on alert for it. That being said, Morrow needs to be smarter and just grab and hold instead of extending his arms which gives Allen his chance to shine.

Pretty good but he’s not Lebron yet.

This is why I hate stats sometimes.  I get both teams get paid, but you can’t watch this team sometimes and come away with the impression that they’re a top tier O.  Granted on paper they might be, but the NFL product at a whole is hurting in quality.

Yeah so much OC turnover isn't great but Teo 3rd round licks would be nice.  Especially if we'd be coming off a Super Bowl win.  Got me thinking to the potential HC job openings too.  My guess is it will be:

Raiders

Panthers

Redskins

Patriots, maybe

Bills, maybe

Jets, maybe

Chargers

Rams, maybe (if McVay retires for TV but i think this the least likely of the teams in listing).

Whichever two NFC South teams that don't win the division of Bucs, Saints and Falcons are potential HC fires as well.

Those are a lot of openings and Brian Johnson fits the bill of what the league likes, young successful offensive coach who played a part in the development of a great QB.

In other news, Eagles moved up from 10 to 8th in DVOA.

We have now beaten the teams ranked 3-4-5-6.

#2 is this Sunday.

Who is #1?  Baltimore?

I understand wanting guys fresh for the playoffs but at the same time, play your best players and use them.

McCaffery has 193 carries to Swift's 161. In the grand scheme of things, that's not THAT big of a difference, especially when you consider the Eagles forgot they had Swift in their first game. I just think Swift has another 2-3 carries per game.

I'd like to see Swift in the 15-18 carry range and I'd really like to see him get more than 1 catch a game. I just think he's so underutilized. He's their 3rd best weapon on offense and is a forgotten piece at times.  If the Eagles have no intention of bringing him back, use him up and get every last bit out of him. Sorry if that sounds harsh but that's the NFL. However, I'd prefer they use him but not abuse him and keep him here for the next 3-4 years.

He didn't just get fired but got fired by the interim HC and Jim Caldwell.  That must have been a very contentious coaching staff.

I'd take Turpin and probably Berrios over him.  But Covey isn't bad at all.  He's pretty good. I just dont feel like he's as dangerous to take it the distance like some other guys.

I'll take that over JR diving for a punt

I'd like to also state that I'm interested in the OC job if the Eagles approached me about it.

The fact that the Eagles are 10-1 three point home dogs against SF means Vegas at least partially ascribes to the notion that the Eagles are lucky to be 10-1 and aren’t as strong as the record suggests.  Yes, the extra SF rest factors in.  And I’m not saying Vegas is right.  But that’s what they are saying.  Bulletin board…

Garbage fouls on embiid already

Woof!

Honestly my favorite color commentator. I hope they don’t approach him.

His eyes look like the emoji.

Heard a story on a podcast. When Marshawn Lynch was at Cal with Aaron Rodgers, on one of the first days at practice, Marshawn Lynch did the wrong thing on a play and the coaches were screaming at him and Rodgers stepped in and was like coach it's my fault I made the wrong call, even though he really didn't, he was just sticking up for Lynch. And the coaches tore Rodgers a new one, he took a bullet for Lynch. And from that point Lynch and Rodgers have been close and Lynch has a ton of respect for Rodgers and knew he was a guy he'd go to war with any day of the week.

When Lynch fwas with the Seahawks Russell Wilson had a bad game, and Lynch tried to get Wilson's number from the team and they're like he'll call you, you don't call him. And later on that day Wilson called Lynch from an anonymous number and he's like what did you want, and Lynch was like don't worry about the bad game I got your back. And if I ever have a bad game you have my back too we'll look out for each other. And Wilson was like "Huh?" And Lynch said it again and Russell Wilson just kinda blew him off. And Marshawn Lynch said he never had any kind of relationship with Wilson in all the years they played together.

For a laugh: https://www.espn.com/nfl/fpi

"Football Power Index" aka stat garbage. I enjoy checking in every time we win as we stay ranked #7.

That's despite beating the teams ranked 2, 3, 5, and 6 already.

His first coaching position at OC seems like a disaster waiting to happen
