I'm genuinely curious how they come up with the 20.9%. It sounds so authoritative yet to me it seems like it's plucked out of thin air. Quick research leads me to the following. Over the past ten years (all NFL games since 2013 prior to Sunday), a 59 yard field goal has been attempted 26 times. It's been made 12 times. Nearly half of the time. Granted they're being attempted by guys who presumably have better than average skill or else they wouldn't be giving them the opportunity in the first place. So that may skew things slightly.

Okay, so I guess they're factoring in the grass surface, maybe the temperature, the wet field, and the fact that it is also raining. But to me it just seems like it's made up.

Incidentally I have a 59 yarder as being about a 38% chance. Normal conditions etcetera.

84.7% of all stats are made up on the spot

Honestly this sounds to me like Howie got intel from Shane that Leonard doesn't have much left and is just pushing Dallas to sign him.

Could very likely be true.  Let’s look at it logically…the guy was a 3 time All Pro and has only played 5 1/2 seasons.  Then he got injured.  He didn’t just break an arm, he had back surgery.  Something tells me he’s no where near the same.  Colts already gave him a tribute video…. which to me sounds like something an organization would do for a player that they really liked as he road off into the sunset.  Seems rather odd to do it for a 28-year-old player. He’s more than likely done.

Are they in some special seating area?

Be pretty stupid to start making threats on players families if your sat there tbh

and who is coaching Indy right now?

Yeah I think we have inside info that he isn't playing at a level that can help us.

Advisor signing in 1, 2, 3……..

Wouldn’t be surprised to see Howie do it.

Don’t you think hiring Reich will be seen as a slap at our OC?

I'm not against someone slapping JOhnson....  I mean if we keep trying WR screens 5-8 times a game? He should be slapped.

The TD pass to Smith was BECAUSE we ran all those screens.

I think so too.

Actually, Cowboys fans should be mad at the replay review officials.  The refs were their best friends against the Eagles:

-- refs gave Schoonmaker a TD he didn't get; needed to be overturned by replay review

-- refs gave Dak a two-point conversion he didn't get; needed to be overturned by replay review

-- refs gave Dak a first down he didn't get on a 4th down sneak; refs smartly moved the chains and gave Byard a BS personal foul before the spot could be reviewed.

Depends.  They hired Fangio as a consultant.  Perhaps they just didn’t care about JG’s feelings

There’s probably some truth to this, imo.

Looks like it was the other guy that pushed the fan. Interesting.

As for the fan, yea he's probably drunk and asking for trouble, but the players need to be smarter than to get baited into this type of nonsense. I wonder if both players get fined now..

Multiple stupid in this incident.

1 - IF the fan actually did that, then bad on him.   No place for that.

2 - IF the fan actually did that, the correct course of action for the player is NOT to go and confront the fan during the game.

But, I'm not sure that the fan actually did say anything about his family.  This was the same guy that was acting all roided up on the field with the intentional off sides on a Shove play where he appeared to just be trying to send a message/hurt someone rather than try to get a good jump off the snap.   AND, he's the same guy that pushed Jurgens over the pile in a later situation, which again, is just an attempt to injure someone.   How that wasn't called by the refs, especially after seeing that it was the same guy from the intentional offsides... I'll never know.   But, the refs clearly had an anti-Bills bend in the game.

Put it this way, the Colts are paying him 6 million for the remainder of the season, not to play.

I’ve read a few reports out of Indy that (essentially) stated that he may not be the best locker room guy at this point - basically saying he has been complaining quite a bit about lack of playing time/opportunities, etc.

because thats the player said

Buffalo Bills pass rusher Shaq Lawson apologized Monday for shoving a Philadelphia Eagles fan behind the team's bench after alleging the person was making threatening remarks about players and their families.

I bet it wasn't a "threat" at all, it was @probably a lame mom joke that got under the dude's skin and he overreacted. Now to save face because he knows he's in trouble, he's reframing it as a "threat".

I got the same vibe yesterday when Sirianni was talking him up at his PC. It sounded like he was giving him a job reference.

Security was RIGHT there and they didn't eject the fan.  Because of that, I KNEW his statement would be something along the lines of "I should have done better but blah blah blah the fan said some stuff that I'm making up right now"

So I keep hearing this narrative about Josh Allen and I’m not sure I understand it. So Romo kept saying (and it’s become a real narrative in the NFL) that Allen just needs to take what the defense gives him and not turn the ball over. Now firstly, of course you don’t want him to turn the ball over so that’s obvious. But surely his arm talent is what makes him potentially so dangerous? And if you take that away from him you just have a game manager?

Looked like he apologized to 41 after wrecking him.

Gotta admit, Davis and Hurts were two picks that I wasn't exactly thrilled with, but needless to say, I was wrong to be so skeptical. Those two guys are killing it right now.
