Could also be for Justin Evans

Seemed like he had some injury setbacks. Was kind of surprised to see all those DNPs out of nowhere

Call me crazy, but this Thursday game (Seatle VS Cowboys)  has the possibility to be a trap game for the Cowboys - looking past the Hawks

I know Seatle isn't that good, but Pete Carroll could possibly help derail the Cowboys. I am not saying I am picking the Hawks to win, but I see it as a possibility.

You want to win every game, but in the playoff seeding battle, it really doesn't matter what happens in this game, Dallas is outside looking in. They are pretty much stuck in the 5th seed, even if they win out, which is highly unlikely. It would take a monumental collapse by the Eagles, I don't see that happening. If by "derail the Cowboys" you mean sending them off into a spiraling series of defeats with losses against the tougher schedule coming up, yeh, that is always a possibility. The result of that would be the Cowboys having to fight for the 6th or 7th seed in the NFC, again I don't see that happening either.

Dallas is two games ahead of Seattle and Minnesota for the 5th seed, even if Seattle beat Dallas to get within a game they play SF, and the Eagles the next two weeks.  Minnesota has to play the Lions twice and just lost to the Bears and Broncos...barring major upsets or catastrophic injuries I think the division winners are decided at this point in the NFCE, NFCW, and the NFCN (Minnesota has an outside chance since they play the Lions twice in the last three weeks and they have Jefferson returning)...the NFCS, who knows what is going to happen there.

VanSumeren is out of PS call ups. Might be clearing a spot for him.

Or Evans. He's at day 15 of 21 since they activated him to return from IR.

If The Eagles go 1-1 over the next two weeks, they likely lock up #1 Seed, because it's unlikely they would lose more than 1 more the rest of the way.  Meaning they would finish 14-3...

Given that Proposition- going 1-1 in the next 2 weeks.... which sscenario would you rather have

WIn againts the Whiners/Lose to the Cowboys

Or Lose to the Whiners and Sweep the Cowboys?

Me: I'd rather win this game against the Whiners and lose to Boys at their house... Just to shut up all the obnoxious Whiner fans and media types...

And the Niners have a way easier schedule the rest of the way and are less likely to lose another game. VS the Cowboys who have several tough games ahead after next weeks game.

As much as it kills me to say given how I hate Dallas with every fiber of my being, I think the head to head against San Fran could prove more crucial.

Probably true. Wonder who would get the boot if they did end up signing Leonard. Albert O or Penny?

Why not both. Neither have a purpose.

Do you mean there's no reason for them not to make money?

Yes

Tensions always run high while the game is underway.     But if you think that is contentious you should have been around for the "Elite" QB debate of 2009.  And the necessary, 'elite vs franchise' QB debate that ensued afterwards.

 But were they mobile?

I think those guys were the ones banging the table for Stroud... and got stuck with Young, and now they are struggling and they are likely even more frustrated and so, the company men stay behind and those that rock the boat get shown the door.

Carolina is likely going to stay on the bottom of the league for quite a while now...  they might rise all the way up to mediocrity but over the next 5 years, they will be lucky to win double digits in any season.   More than they likely they will bounce around a max of 5-6 wins more often than not.

yea if thats true then that franchise deserves all the bad ish happening to them.

Jets? You have Aaron Rodgers and a good defense in place to contend from day one, and you’d get to bring your own long term QB in without the pressure of instant production.

Jets with a 40 year old Rodgers? who honestly cant stay healthy? nah im good Jets is a dumpster fire. they arent going to fire their staff anyways because Rodgers is theyre lifeline its been reported.

Literally no purpose at all. I wish we knew if there's anything else to the Penny thing other than he just sucks. If that's the case then surely there's another back on someone's practice squad with his ability if needed. And it would be a mild surprise for Howie to give up on one of his trades this quickly on Albert O but if you can't block you ain't playing TE

there is our future MLB. seeing how Howie was in the LB market before the trade deadline. i can see howie breaking the trend & finally getting us a stud LB. Him & the corner from Georgia are my two favorite prospects for us. i dont know if Trotter Jr is regarded as a first rounder but i would love to go back to back rounds with Lassiter then Trotter.

Roby was signed and played 5 days later, even though he wasn't in the league for over a month. I think they would find a role for him, especially down Cunningham, over a week later.

I think LB is a little tougher to just step right in.   And didn't Roby get hurt right away after that?

He should be mic'd up every game.

Yeh, still getting used to that. I replied to Diehard (I think it was Diehard) during the game when he said it was "too little too late" after the Eagles TD with a couple of minutes left in the 3rd qtr...I think he was in a bad place at the time.

This board during the games is just insane...😁, but a great way to share and enjoy a game with folks from all over.

. No, that's just what he does during a game.

What kind of endurance does he have that he can just yap up to the snap and then start talking again as soon as the play is over.

He has no off switch.

Really, I think it makes it easier for teams to compete.  There's no reason for these kids to be able to make money off the sport given how much the schools and coaches make.

That's not the point at all. It's the fact that schools buy players now. Granted, it was going on in the past with major donors and all but not like this. If the NCAA wants to have a stipend for players so they make money that's one thing. For schools to line up offering millions for a guy to transfer just so he can transfer again the following year absolutely kills the sport.

WTF is up with the NFL giving two teams in a row extra days off before the Eagles

I wish someone asked Anthony Harris how he ended up on the injury report with "Hands/Groin"

Last time he keeps the gorilla glue next to the lotion.

Penny is clearly just insurance for swift. He’s not getting any snaps unless swift gets injured and even then he’ll be RB 3

Eagles waived Scott. Open up a roster spot.

I wonder if we see him back on the PS. Slot and saftey depth, albeit Ricks and Brown are now well ahead of him and they may think Goodrich offers more as a development guy but wont play this year

Our resident freakbeast extraordinaire?

They may do some back of roster shuffling but I cant imagine them carrying all three of Patrick Johnson, Ben VanSumeren and Christian Ellis on the 53 all for primary ST purposes. They could do a swap between Johnson and BVS, and then promote Johnson a few times though.
