I keep seeing replays of the Hurts walk off TD and Kelce getting a lot of well deserved love for his kick out block.

But man, that TD doesn’t happen if Mailata doesn’t get a great hook block on the End.

Amazing what happens when the team executes a play to perfection.

That's not the point at all. It's the fact that schools buy players now. Granted, it was going on in the past with major donors and all but not like this. If the NCAA wants to have a stipend for players so they make money that's one thing. For schools to line up offering millions for a guy to transfer just so he can transfer again the following year absolutely kills the sport.

Except you can't transfer more than once without sitting out for a year

These are the plays they want to run in order to learn about how the defense will react to them.  It helps them set up successful plays later in the game, such as the TD to Smith and the game-winner by Hurts.

Dead on.  100%.

It is what I meant last week when I said the OC's play calling is evolving.  Plays need to mean something.  There needs to be progression.  And the 3rd and 4th Q show that they are, in fact, doing things later that were set up by things done earlier.

I just wish they would get there sooner.

And that they would do more of what works more often. For instance, if runs to the left are working and working and working, you DO NOT have to try the middle or try the right side.  You CAN but you don't have to.  Instead you can keep doing things that work until they stop you more than once.  We tend to get too creative with some things.  And yet, with the QB1 calls, they tend to just keep doing them the same way without getting too cutesy. Sure, add wrinkles (cadence, naked bootleg, little screen).  But the several times they did add wrinkles some worked and some didn't (tripping, fumble).

Lastly, it would be swell if they could just do some things better.  Maybe the bubble should only go to AJ since he is harder to bring down on initial contact?  Swift instead?

I can’t believe it’s most likely going to be another rain game on Sunday.

5th one of the year.  Absolutely unreal.  There's a game in Seattle too so chances are that one is rain too.

crazy Brian Johnson played against Julio Jones in college lol. Utah vs Bama in the sugar bowl. i have been a BJ hater when he has his moments like in the first half of the Bills game. but i really think he can be a stud OC. which means he wont last long with us. just hope maybe we can get another year with him.

Eagles sent Leonard to Dallas to get some extra intel before signing🤔 Howie one step ahead

Odd situation in the NBA where Mark Cuban just sold majority stake in the Mavs for $3.5B but he remains a minority owner with full control of basketball operations.

Penny is clearly just insurance for swift. He’s not getting any snaps unless swift gets injured and even then he’ll be RB 3

Yup. But at this point in the season I don’t see why he can’t just do that on the PS. I doubt anyone claims him.

Favors us.  They are a speed team. A bit lighter and a bit faster?

And we would be on our 3rd straight rain game.

Odd question. Does the rain tamp down the sound or make it louder?  Surely the extra drinking caused by having to attend in the rain should make it louder.  😉

It's football. Good teams win in ishy weather

How should we view the potential rain in Philly this Sunday? Advantage home team? Advantage 49ers? A wash? – Doug H.

Oh, I think there’s no question it’s an advantage for the home team considering the Eagles played their last two games — both wins — in a steady rain. They’re gonna be well-versed for Sunday. That includes kicker Jake Elliott, who didn’t miss a field goal or extra point against the Chiefs and Bills and who nailed a 59-yard field goal at the end of regulation against Buffalo.

The 49ers? A few days ago, the local forecast was calling for rain on Wednesday, which would have been a good warm-up for a wet weekend in Philadelphia. As I write this, however, the weather in Santa Clara on Wednesday is now supposed to be cloudy with a high of 62 degrees (Freakin’ Northern California with its pleasant weather makes me so mad!).

Meanwhile, neither Purdy nor Jake Moody looked all that sharp during the only wet-weather game the team had this season, the Week 6 loss in Cleveland. Purdy had trouble gripping the ball while Moody was 1 of 3 on field goals, including a miss on the potential game-winner with nine seconds remaining.

Rest? Advantage, 49ers

Rain? Advantage, Eagles

What will the Niners do to prepare for the anticipated rain? – Allen F.

Maybe they’ll get lucky and it’ll rain during their Wednesday practice. If not, they can dunk the football in a bucket of water during the session. Some teams have done that to prepare for wet-weather games. It also might rain on Saturday in Philadelphia — the forecast keeps changing — when the 49ers have their final walk-through session. It might be smart to get a few throws and kicks in then.

Hope it rains, so when we beat SF again they'll find another reason to complain about.

Left shark tank, sold the Mavs. Retiring?

Everyone already blames the refs. They don't show the non-calls they missed for the Eagles, or the crucial penalties that do get called on them.

Jordan does weddings

I'm confused by some of these playoff simulators because a lot of them had us clinching a playoff berth with a win against the Bills but apparently we didn't clinch

We’re gonna be in the playoffs

He isn't retiring.  He has maintained full control of the Mav's basketball operations.

I figure the operating profit for most NBA franchises is less than a $100M/yr… big number, but $3.5B now and you still have the team to toy with.
