I actually agree with him that they need to get the ball into AJ Brown’s hands early in the game. They need to figure a way to get him open and get him going. Imo the reason why the passing offense has been inconsistent since the fourth quarter of that Dallas game is teams rare lose making everyone else beat them but him. Having goedert back makes it harder for teams to do that

Butterfly effect.....

Ha......Jake Elliot eats butterflies for breakfast.

When you have a QB that the rest of the team completely believes in, it elevates the entire team because they know they only have to do their job.

Hope it rains, so when we beat SF again they'll find another reason to complain about.

The SF talk radio jockeys have spent a lot of time in the past month talking about Purdy’s small hands and how they have proven to be a liability in rain games.

Yeah I guess I just don't understand why the new majority owners would cede final say and control over basketball operations when you are paying $3.5B for it.  The Daniel Snyder type things that have come out in recent years about the Mavs, not like he does great job of running things there to keep him running the ship of this expensive asset.

The new majority owners were previously minority owners.  The know Cuban very well and trust him.  Further they are Las Vegas casino owners in their primary business.  The understand the value of a good operations manager.

Great, I look forward to drafting a raw LB prospect not named Trotter who only played one season as a starter but has incredible pro day measurables in round 3 or 4 and pretending that's addressing the LB position for another year.

Teams really should stop calling time outs to ice him.

He’s making a killing, he paid cash for the Mavs with the money he made selling Broadcast.com to Yahoo! He paid 285 million.

At the time he had pretty much cornered the market for all things streaming on the internet.
One cool thing he did though was take care of all his employees, even the janitors became extremely wealthy. I went to work for Yahoo! Broadcast shortly after he sold to them. You wouldn’t believe the amount of 21 - 24 yr old millionaires that stayed on with guaranteed employment contracts.

Oh and he did bring a title to the Mavs. I just hated that he became political.

Everybody is political.   Jerry Jones is political as well.  How can we not be?

After driving the wasteland that is I40 and then I30 in Arkansas today (and folks think Wyoming is the dregs), I can only conclude that Sarah Huckabee Sanders is planning some tax cut for the rich in the state to pay for the "lecturn” and offsetting that with funding via speed traps.  I must have seen at least a dozen, most with lights flashing to signify success.  At one point we came to a dead stop at speed (70 trucks/75 all others) due to one of those and once past it noted cops and an ambulance headed that direction with lights aglow (bet causing that with an ill located speed stop will never be recorded,) Trash state using freeway speed traps at risk of motorists for funding.  Meanwhile pedestrian deaths rise because they won’t patrol streets that matter.  Thanks for allowing me to spew my anger.

Wyoming is the best.  I used to camp there frequently when we lived in Colorado.   Once drove for 22 consecutive minutes without seeing another car on the road.

Yep.  I think having Goedert on then field makes a big difference on the type of coverages (and who’s available to cover AJ).

You immediately go from 2 big play receiving threats to 3 big play receiving threats on the field. (From 3 to 4 if you count Swift).

I wouldn't say Cuban qualifies that if you are aware of the news stories that have come out of the Mavericks with swxual harassment and all that type of stuff.b sounds like a Daniep Snyder ype organization.

Beats by Dre

Uh oh, David Carr doesn't see a scenario where the Eagles can win this game.

As of mid week I’m feeling like we get curb stomped but there are a few days left for that feeling to improve.

What I can't figure out is why the WR screens aren't being run to him more, given that he's a more physical runner than any other WR we have.   Granted, that also means he's a better blocker... but also a better runner.

I don't see a 'curb stomping' as being in this team's DNA.   They might lose, but they won't get handled like Dallas did against SF.   That's just not who this team is.

With a very low first round pick, I can see a scenario we take him or Carter. Basically no OT or DE worth the pick and no trade down option.

A first round CB wouldn’t play as a rookie, a WR would be in the slot and would basically force us into letting AJ Brown walk, we already have 2 young safeties and I doubt we would take a RB or interior lineman.

As great as Devonta has been doing, AJ is still our best WR. We need to get him involved early like Donovan said.  Since Dallas, it seems teams are really trying to take AJ out of it.  Jalen and the O can't allow them.  Quick slants, some early passes to get him going.  But again, Thankfully Devonta filled the void these last 3 games.

Yeah, it wouldn’t be due to lack of will if it were to happen but you can only have so many games in a row like this and especially with the other teams having several days more rest.

Goedert is so important for our passing game.

Really need to have a good ball control offense this game.  Let the offensive line control the game and keep the Dline fresh.  Easier said than done.

The lack of urgency with the Shaq Leonard thing seems weird to me. Dallas plays tomorrow so he's obviously not playing for them this week and the Eagles need a LB but signing today would take a roster spot for a guy who still might not be able to play for them this week.
