Ertz has been on IR with the Cardinals with a hammy.  How healthy is Ertz really?  

I'd love to have him here, but realistically he would be buried in the depth chart and would not see the field much.

More than likely. Not sure what he is after his injury last year and then the injury he sustained this year.

Preseason has nothing to do with now. He retired under contract to the Eagles. When he decided to come out of retirement just two weeks ago, he was still under contract with the Eagles. The Eagles just cut him two weeks ago either because we didn't want him or he didn't want to be here. I don't think Cunningham getting injured moves the needle that much for him, when we already needed LB depth at the time and just cut him. 

If Ertz clears waivers I would love to see him back with the Eagles. He was a player for you guys and it just seems like that’s where he belongs. I hated when he went to the Cardinals.

Hell, 86 is available. 

I say Grant to IR, bring in Zach. 

Ravens are probably interested with the Andrews injury

It's not that simple.

Free Warner is a top 10 defender in the league. Bosa is a top 10 defender too. When you have the best LB in the NFL who can erase the middle of the field and a top 5 EDGE you're going to have a good defense. 

To beat SF, you have to run the ball. Should be a heavy RB game, but I'm guessing they'll choose to attack Thomas or Oliver.

Not sure anyone claims Ertz with an $11.6M cap number. Prorated that is about  $4M for rest of year. Believe Ravens have over $6M in cap space. But then the ramifications of taking over contract for future seasons. Think he becomes a free agent. And falls into the Eagles hands. He probably wants to come here, which may matter as well. All for it!!!

I highly doubt he gets claimed to start

If he does get claimed most of that stays with Arizona. He'd have a $7.9M base and a $1.5M roster bonus in 2024, but it's all non guaranteed, so whoever claims him can just cut him for $0 dead cap.

I picked him up and stashed him.  Just in case  

Ertz has his foundation and he pretty much knows the offense already. Knows the city and most of the team.

Also, is he even better than Isaiah Likely at this point? So would he rather have all those things and backup Goedert or none of those things and backup Likely?

I haven't followed Ertz career there, if he's still playing well, healthy or not.  But Goedert is coming off injury and their depth are just blockers they don't impact the receiving game.

Sign Ertz.  He returns to the team that drafted him, tries to win another ring makes sense.  If he wants a ring then snaps aren't his concern anyway.

Then hire Reich as an offensive consultant. Bring some 2017 magic back.

Not necessarily true.  They traded for Albert O at the end of preseason.  He is primarily a receiving TE with no blocking ability to speak of.

Put Calcaterra on IR. Place Albert O on the practice squad. Sign Ertz.
