On the Ertz productivity question. He's been as productive as you can be with Kyler Murray and the lack of talent in Arizona; probably not what he was, but he would be a net positive if he comes back to the Eagles.

DAL never got a sack...the Seattle line played really well comsidering they had two out with injury I believe.

Yeah. but credit where it was due, Geno had to throw away a ton because of pressure and there were some close calls where someone was a step away from sacking him.

Buffalo fans are quickly rising to Forty-whiners level.    Sadly, this artist took artistic license.  The jersey NEVER was pulled like that by Reddick.   The FRONT of the jersey, however, nearly was ripped off of him.

They were killing that delayed run all game and their starting backs were hurt 🤕

All game prior is different than the situation at hand. Again i don’t think Dallas is remotely expecting it. Just over a minute and given no timeouts, Dallas wasn’t thinking run at all. Earlier they still had to respect the run. This is like when the eagles run the Qb draw like 5-6 times and it really doesn’t work, doesn’t work. then hits cause of the defense called and situation.

Also that last play they were running a play to DeeJay Dallas (solak does an excellent job on what the play call was supposed to look like). So running a pass play to  your backup RB when other backs are hurt? So RBs hurt is kind of BS cause they ran a play for their backup rb anyway. If RBs are hurt and we are avoiding what i said or any play to them cause of it then their 4th down play shouldn’t have been called. Should’ve went to their stud receivers.

General question and playoff implications aside:

would you rather beat the 49ers this weekend and shut up their fans and most of the country that we are only 10-1 due to luck, with a loss to the Cowboys the following week, or vice versa?

Gun to my head. Win this week. I think a head to head win over SF would prove more crucial later. And it kills me to say given how much I hate Dallas.

Edit, missed the playoff implications aside comment. That into consideration, the opposite of what I said. I want a sweep of Dallas.

A win against the 49ers is more valuable than a win against the Cowboys... based on tie breakers.    So, the answer is easily 49ers.

If it had no implications on seeding - only a statement game to what everyone has said about our 10-1 record etc..

Normally I say win the division first, but .... Beat SF.

DAL has a schedule facing BUF, MIA, and DET after the Eagles; there's another loss or two in there.  SF host the Ravens, which they might lose -- but the rest of their games are a walk in the park.  Eagles also currently hold the tiebreaker over DAL even with a loss to them -- if they beat the Niners.

I can't separate the two, sorry.  Because the real statement is securing the #1 seed, and then winning the Super Bowl.   None of the regular season things really matter.

We'll never know but with a 3rd string back in there doesn't seem like trying an 'i fooled ya play' is the right thing to do in this scenario. This is a team that forgot to block the best pass rusher in the league on a critical play. I expected an inevitable L... we'll see Dallas in a couple of weeks.

I would think that a win against the 49ers would prove that we are the best team, regardless of the look and statistics. This would top going into Jerry World and ending their home winnng streak… plus the cries from their fans…

I mean only from an emotional view and not from playoff seeding.

That’s fair and understandable 👍

They ran that 4th down play for deejay Dallas. doesn’t seem like the right scenario to run the most important play of the game to their 3rd string rb but yet they did.

They let parsons be a free rusher cause they thought parsons would get too far up field and deejay Dallas would get to the space with no Dallas defender, turn upfield and pick up the first down. in theory it makes sense. Problem is deejay was way too slow on getting to where he needed too (parsons basically got to the Qb while DeeJay is still trying to run to the space) and even if deejay Dallas gets there Lawrence on that play made it an extremely difficult for the pass to be complete (solak does a really good job breaking down this play).

I think the would be an upgrade over Calcaterra and Stoll as a receiver.  He's not a replacement for Goedert but he would be an effective receiving option.

Oooooooh

Yup.  So many things wrong with how Seattle handled the 4th quarter.   Where did DJ Metcalf go?  Smith-Njigba was killing them all game too, but he disappeared as well.   They just lost what had gotten them to that point in the game.   4th and half a yard, and they go with a slow deep handoff... rather than just another QB sneak?   Granted, Smith looked bad running it the first time... but you needed HALF A YARD!  Nothing is a gimme in the NFL, but a QB sneak on 4th and less than a yard is pretty darn close to it.

Just bad all around, and then the 4th downs overall really highlighted that.

But... that's why they are a 0.500 team.  And that's pretty much what they were last year too... 9-8.

I would argue that last night was exactly what people have been saying about the us: Dallas didn’t win the game, the Seahawks lost it.

Seems like no one is giving us any kind of shot this Sunday. Man would it be great to shut everyone up, no matter how they do it!

If they traded Castellanos as part of the deal, they'd absolutely have the need.

The Padres would definitely want some young OF talent in the deal as well...
Would you trade any of the following as part of the deal?    Rojas, Crawford, Marsh

Maybe include Carlos de la Cruz as part of the deal, assuming he's not snapped up in the Rule 5 draft, OR just get the deal done sooner than that and its not a concern.

See, I don’t mind delayed handoffs in certain situations. Because at certain times you might get somebody by the element of surprise and hit it for a big gain. That 4th down play you're talking about you’re 100% right. That was not the time to do it. A slow developing run play when everybody on Dallas is thinking and selling out to stop the run. It was never going to work or you’d have needed an extraordinary play by your back to make it work.

i do think at the end of the game on like 3rd down and 2 the element of surprise is there and it may work. It is highly risky but I’ve seen teams do it and have success especially when pass rushers aren’t respecting/expecting run and way too far upfield. Dallas called two straight zero blitzes and were under the belief no chance you run given timeout situation, what they were calling defensively and how their pass rush was just pinning ears back and getting up field. The fourth and inches, the previous series which they were stopped isn’t remotely the time for a delayed handoff.

if i were seattle, I’d also think about employing a shovel pass into their short yardage offense. Like KC has done with kelce where he comes in motion and hit with a shovel pass. It’s almost impossible to stop due to his athleticism and size. I think with guys like DK and aj brown you’d have really good success.
