we used timeouts to ensure SF had time for a TD. And then did nothing with the time that we preserved.

They were going to until a ball got deflected and nearly could’ve been a turnover. The same type of turnover they’ve had the last two games before the end of the half.

We only have 2 good WRs on the roster without Goedert. Quez is fine.

The one good throw to Quez should have been DPI, wasn't called. We probably get 3 on that drive too.

Sure glad Hurts spent 5 seconds pointing before falling to the ground 15 yards from the LOS. Not playing a good team or anything...

Another half of football where Hurts needs to be much, much better.  Can’t just stand back there in the pocket for 8-10 seconds and lock in on one target.  When the original routes break down, someone has to be coming open; the secondary can’t stay with the WR that long.  Those plays cannot be 10 and 15 yard losses.

Really bad decision making from Hurts, and the 2nd half has to be at least 3 TD drives 

Still don't get how that wasn't pass interference on the catch that quez tried to make dude ran through him and didn't turn around until after

It looks like all of their routes are downfield, don't have anything intermediate or short until it's 3rd and 19 and then they throw screens and 2 yard passes

Game starting to feel like we will get our clock cleaned in second half. Sad as it may be. 

 

SO  Our D line, as good as it is , isn't holding up. Team looks washed already....

Main difference in the game, Hurts taking bad sacks, and inability to punch it in at the red zone. 

 

Doesn't appear like our d will stop San fran on any drive going fwd.... and it doesn't appear our O will finish every drive with a TD....

See above. They would have had to use their own time outs. Even if we held them to a field goal there they would have gotten the ball back with like 10 seconds left because they didn't have a third timeout to stop the clock after 3rd down. Absolutely terrible coaching there 

And they had the timeouts to use, so its not like the Eagles calling them gave the 49ers some magical advantage.   I agree it wasn't super smart to take the TOs, but it wasn't some ridiculous stupid move or anything.   The Eagles didn't have a 3rd timeout either... so there was no difference.  And they could have thrown the ball too if they were worried about the clock... they weren't or more exactly in terms of running out of time.  They had plenty of time... and timeouts.  Nothing burger.

Defense giving up back to back 80+ yard TD drives, zero pressure on Purdy, always seem lost in coverage, it’s so infuriating to watch

Goes back to what i said the last two weeks. Teams gonna take a brown away and force you to beat them with other guys. Smith can do it for a quarter or two but really you have absolutely nothing else that’s reliable with goedert out. His ability middle of the field allows for teams to not be able to just take away brown at all costs. 

6 rushes for 12 yards by running backs on 4 drives. Yet Hurts has 22 passes and 2 rushes lmao. What is this offense? We could’ve taken an entire drive off the clock if we just run the ball.
