We certainly weren’t as good as our record. We were fortunate to get some bounces our way. SF beat our ass so bad there was no chance for them to gift us the game.

Football is about matchups. Sometimes you just don't match up well against someone. I think what really happened is most teams, even many good ones, don't match up against us very well.

So the way I see it, I think we should learn everything we can from this game, and then flush it. Study the tape as if it was an opponent of ours. There's actually some very encouraging stuff to go along with some pretty depressing stuff. In my opinion, the play-calling was very encouraging. It didn't work out, but most of the play calling in the first 3 quarters (so with a starter at QB) made sense.

I've said it a million times, the main reason WHY we were in situations where we need fortunate bounces was questionable play-calling on the offense - lots of inconsistency. So the way I see it, that's actually the main correction we need against 95% of the teams in the NFL. That solves MOST of the problems that matter. The only issue is how to solve the other ones.

Just thank whatever god you believe in they won the last two games they probably should have lost also.

What if we don't believe in any? :P

I hope Howie yells at Sirianni.

Clean hit but man that looks like a concussion

Totally unnecessary. If Swift now has to sit out next week for a concussion protocol, I just don't even have words for this crap anymore

Our WRs couldn’t win for S downfield 1 on 1.

SF DBs have eyes in the back of their heads apparently.

I've only felt second hand embarrassment a few times in my life, but this is the worst. What a sorry sack of crap performance.

as bad as the eagles played a different ref crew completely changes the complexion of this game. We get more points and SF gets a whole bunch less.

Kelce should be disgusted. I’m sick of his ghey podcasts about his ghey sister dating some stupid €unt

They aren’t calling that with the score being what it is.

Again not the reason we lost but they were horrid.  Multiple missed holds on SF on O as well.

Sirianni should yell back for not getting any back 7 on defense worth a damn.

I refuse to choose that line of thinking. They got ****slapped up and down the field all day in their own house.

My two biggest gripes with this team are

1. D's ability to stop the pass, particularly 3rd and longs. They struggle getting off the field

2. Lack of a consistent run game. We have had a few games where the run game has dominated but it disappears for large large stretches

We were going to have to open up the running game with a quick passing game but it didn't seem like we wanted to do that. I don't think we were ever going to run straight after them with a lot of success. Their LBs are too good and our best blocking TE is out.

Man it really sucks the niners talked all that crap for year and then come into Philly and just completely embarrass them. Just a joke of a game from this team and coaching staff

No excuses. We sucked this game

I’m not ****ing about refs after I just spent the last week telling Bills fans to cry harder about calls.

The refs have been consistent - Desai should have had our guys ready to mug I suppose.

They didn't call it all game, so of course they won't now.

3 of the back 7 suck. The CBs are good and the safeties are adequate. The pass defense should not be this bad with solid guys in the secondary. Who the F do the Niners have in the secondary? Slay and Bradberry are better than Ward and Lenoir. They lost their best safety. This is a scheme and coaching issue. And they rarely force turnovers.

Assuming Leonard now goes to the Cowboys
