What does road to 1 seed look like now?

don't do worse than any other top team. Still might not need to do that.

Eagles have 2 games against Giants, one against Cardinals.    Those should be guaranteed wins.

cowboys -  eagles, bills, dolphins, lions, commanders
eagles = cowboys, seahawks, giants, cardinals, giants
9ers - seahawks, cardinals, ravens, commanders, rams
lions - bears, broncos, vikings, cowboys, vikings

cowboys play the eagles
cowboys play the dolphins
cowboys play the lions

9ers play the ravens

I’m guessing he’s in concussion protocol. Gonna likely be a challenge to get him through it as I’ve really only seen like two players this year get cleared a week later. One was olave today and there was another a couple weeks back. Otherwise a lot of guys usually moss the following week

Dumb Fs. I knew something was going to happen on that last drive that meant nothing. That's on Siri

I always thought they would get through the gauntlet with 2 losses... maybe 3.  Well, I think that 2 is still likely, but hopefully not.  Would love to see these guys come out inspired against Dallas.   Maybe this team can finally put a full game together.

They were able to bring the full package for just over a quarter and then the air left them.  Maybe they could have hung around if the score was 14-0 but this one was always going to be about one team running the gauntlet and the other, out for revenge, that was very well rested.

How do you lose how you lost in the SB and being in the same defensive scheme but worse? Lmao. Yikes. This team knows nothing about actual improvement and progress.

Looked like he went straight to the tent afterwards.  But after a hit like that, that's SOP.  Hurts went into the locker room for concussion evaluation during the game.

Wow watching the packers it’s amazing to see someone cal run plays. Very unique to see apparently.

At this point we are at week 13 going on 14, I’m just at the point it’s likely not gonna happen. We’ve gone about 71% of the season and they haven’t done it yet. Probably means it’s just not likely gonna happen.

The defense I just don’t think they have talent. I look at this team and say their talent is defensive line but everywhere else it’s not good enough. Your safeties are pretty average to below average. Your linebackers are bad. And I would say slay and Bradberry have been pretty mediocre this year. And that would be grading them nicely.

The 10-1 one record was kind of fool’s Gold. They were winning by the skin of their teeth  and eventually you were gonna get punched in the mouth playing that way. You knew it was coming at some point whether Dallas or SF. I think a lot of us knew the defense wasn’t going to be as good as 2022. They lost too many guys and desai was given a hand that needed a lot of help. There’s too many guys we have to replace with guys who aren’t ready. And then you have regression from guys like Bradberry, slay and graham. I think the goal should have always been hope that the young players by the time we get to the end of 2023, sure enough development that going into 2024 they could be relied on to be starters. And then this off-season I think you gotta go out and get one or two major impact players for that defense. They’re missing play makers on the back seven. That’s the reality.

On offense, I don’t think they commit to the run enough and I don’t think they have a competent 3rd why receiver that can take a lot of the pressure off of AJ Brown and DeVonta Smith. It makes a much easier defend with Dallas Goedert being hurt because they don’t have another reliable option.

Seahawk division game may be tough for the niners after smelling themselves after this one.

Idk if he did or not. I’m assuming based of the hit and not returning.

Yeah, right now I wish this team was the Packers.  How great would it be to be 5-6 and on the outside of the playoffs looking in.   Maybe someday we can get there.

The maturity of this team will be tested if they start losing a few games. It’s all fun and smooth going 27-2 over a 29 game stretch, but it’s not as fun when you hit adversity. Carter’s maturity coming out was an issue, looked like him and Sirianni had an exchange. AJ is a little loose with it too. They need to make sure they’re buttoned up.

You have no idea what some dope fans messaged him though. Everyone is quick to blame or tell a 22 year old to grow up, but get the old, "fans will be fans" all the time.

To the packers credit their defense is good and Jordan love seems to be coming along for them. That’s a team of you are the 2 seed in the nfc you don’t want to face. Their WRs are also making tremendous strides. I’m not saying they are a contender or winning anything this year, but with how love is improving there’s a chance they are a contender in 2024.

I hate to say it because I was all about Nolan Smith, but it would be nice to have a young versatile safety like Brian Branch on this team.

put Nolan Smith at Safety.   He might or might not know how to do Safety things,  but if he's back there, he's bigger and faster than Deebo Samuel.

The problem it seemed was big tds on short passes to Deebo Samuel.  Nolan Smith, Ben VanSumeren and Kelee Ringo might have starters in front of them, or they might be raw.   But they're not too slow or too small to keep up with Deebo Samuel - who had a 48 yard TD on a short pass,  a 46 yard TD on a short pass, and a rushing TD.

Sometimes you just can't help that their players are better than your players, better physically.   But you should pay attention to the fact that your backup players are faster and stronger than the starters. Not more polished, but faster and stronger, and more capable of keeping up with their top athletes.

These are short passes,  not complicated routes,  but to a guy who is fast and big and hard to tackle,  compared to other WR/RBs.

They have half the talent and in 2 drives they have more carries than we had the entire game lmao. It’s not about comparing talent of teams it’s about the incompetent playcalling that’s allowed in this franchise on both sides of the ball.

One who passes* to setup the pass* and refuses to run the ball.

And the other who is so terrified to force a QB into a mistake, he’d rather give them 8 yards a play before anyone can touch the ball carrier.

We’ll be watching from the same place the Packers are in a few weeks with these coordinators.

I won't believe it can't happen until the last whistle blows on the last game.

In amazing news... my Drexel Dragons took down #18 Villanova today.  So, there's that!

Jordan love looks legit. He’s taking it to the chiefs and improves week to week. Loved him coming out of that draft. I know caplan stated the eagles had a ton of interest in him too. I’m happy for love. I thought he should’ve gotten the chance last year and they should’ve dealt rodgers a couple years back

Helps when you’re actually running the ball  to make passing easier. A novel concept.

It's a head scratcher.

Inside runs go into a wall of defenders.

Stretch runs get sniffed out.

Is Goedert the glue of the run game?

they werent near as effective running it with him in the lineup either.

We end up with the 2 seed

I think what bothers me the most about this game is that championship caliber teams do not get their asses kicked like that, especially at home, can’t ever remember a mahomes team, or a Brady team getting smoked like that

Not that it matters for eagles but this is recent history. Both teams were swept in regular season.

There were many times we had a light box and could’ve punished them and ran the ball, instead we threw it every time. Then we ran when the box was loaded and was surprised we didn’t run well lol. How good can you gauge your run offense handing it off twice a quarter? Lmao.

I don't remember them having horrible defenses that can't fn tackle

Not sure who I hate more. The defense or Brain Johnson
