We feel like crap now, wait until Shaq Leanord openly picks the cowboys over us tomorrow…

I won’t. To me it comes across as indecisive  that this late in the season you have to see a prospective team in one more game before you make a decision. He couldn’t watch the eagles/cowboys games this season to make his decision.

If Tommy Devito beats this team, I will vomit out all of my organs on my OnlyFans feed.

AZ and Giants are 3 free wins.

@Dallas will probably be SF all over again and Seattle will be a 50/50 toss up.  They always are rough for us.

who cares in this game?  the defense stopped nothing at all in the 2nd half.

Passes are generally what you do when you're behind.   If the Eagles had a lead in the 4th and weren't running,  that would have been wrong.

lol. We had drives while we were winning and down 1 where we didn’t get the run going. There was plenty of opportunity to sustain drives and not be one dimensional and we threw them out the window. Even down 8 you can run lol. We had 22 passes at halftime I think and 4 or 5 designed runs.

Why would he want to play in that defensive scheme when he could go play in Dallas where they let their players play football?

Yes

The defense. They pretty couldn't stop KC in the second half of the SB and has.now regressed. Howie tendency to not invest in lbs is killing us. We were happy to watch Gannon go but I don't remember his d give up 6 straight td drives.

this defense sure makes no name QB's look like pro bowlers

Ringo is far far far from ready

how do you know this?   what we know is that Ricks does not have the physical capabilities of Ringo.  Ricks was seen as more pro ready.  And what is likely to happen is that Ringo gets better and Ricks doesn't, because he's near his physical ceiling.

RAS compare at CB - Ringo v Ricks

https://ras.football/ras-compare/?&p1=19977&p2=20017&pos=CB

Ringo ran 4.36 40 at 207
Ricks ran 4.60 40 at 188

They stole our lunch money.

And then made us watch them eat that lunch.

The way this team has been playing nothing is going to be a free win. Murray will definitely torch this defense.

I think this is the first time they play seattle without Wilson. But hey Howell lit them up 🤷

only thing i can think of is more snaps here

Kempski had a stat that the Niners had 11 PDs and we had 1 (Davis tipping the ball at the line). I’m not sure how accurate that is because Blankenship broke up a pass over the middle to Aiyuk.

Still, that shows the stark difference in how covered vs how they did. San Fran had players wide open all day. Slay looked absolutely petrified of Aiyuk with how much cushion he gave him.

Brown had a coverage bust on Kittle’s long catch and run. Ellis was lost whenever he dropped back. Ricks was toast. It looked like Morrow’s controlled lagged on that wheel to CMC. Just awful stuff all around. Maybe Bradberry was the only one who didn’t wet himself out there.

Worst part is the niners called out this Defense all off season and what they do. Folded like a lawn chair. No pride whatsoever.

There are no easy wins with this defense. They managed to make Mac Jones look good and got torched by Sam Howell twice.

They probably don’t stick with it because they’re sick of every drive starting 2nd and 8, 3rd and 7 when they try running the ball. Every damn time. This team is a different team when they have short down and distances because of the tush push. When they’re forced to throw on 2nd and 3rd down they’re so much easier to defend. If the running game worked and got them to 2nd and 5, 3rd and 3’s like it did last season I think they would stick with it. It just sucks this season. Something needs to change.

They threw the ball on first down 80% of the time today. Even before it got out of hand. It was 20 pass plays and 5 called runs with RBs, their pass plays on first down weren’t exactly killing it either. Again, it is really hard to get your running game going if you never get into any sort of rhythm. Literally really hard if you run the ball 1 time over the span of a quarter.

you think it’s gonna look good when you have one rushing attempt every 12-15 mins? I will say this the Niners didn’t run the ball great to start the game. They had 4 rushes for 7 yards. But you know what they did? They stuck with it and eventually it got into a rhythm and wore the other team down. The Eagles don’t do that. Eagles actually were better rushing to start than the niners. Had 13 yards on 4 carries. Ran once more at the end of the 1st and then didn’t run it with a RB again until 30 seconds left in the half and that’s cause they nearly threw a pick

Our DBs and LBs suck.

Old and ineffective.

SF got hands on WRs.

PHI got it handed to them.

They need to invest at corner whether free agency or draft. I’d say draft cause cheaper and younger but really we have drafted maddox at corner and that’s about the only one who’s panned out for us. Douglas did when he got away from us. I’d actually spend the money on jaylon Johnson in FA. He’s young and worth the money. I’d find away to move off of slay or bradberry. Again they also need to find a viable slot corner cause maddox shouldn’t be relied on anymore

they seem to have their slot CB in that Indy guy who is suspended for this season. Just need a starter. A FA would be nice.

If its cheaper to keep slay and bradberry on the roster fine, but one of them has to become a backup to the new FA. Something has to be done.

In addition, if they arent going to fire this DC, then they at least need to try a new secondary coach. Cause its not just a guy, or two guys. No one in the entire secondary makes plays. Its a system thing as much, or more than it is a talent thing.

Almost every time our CBs are beat, theyre in zone and its a coverage breakdown. They arent as bad as theyre being made to look. I wish they were allowed to play man coverage a lot more.

To the packers credit their defense is good and Jordan love seems to be coming along for them. That’s a team of you are the 2 seed in the nfc you don’t want to face. Their WRs are also making tremendous strides. I’m not saying they are a contender or winning anything this year, but with how love is improving there’s a chance they are a contender in 2024.

They are also the youngest team in the league.

i still can't shake that zach wilson beat us

Our RBs averaged 2.5, 2.2 and 2.0 on a combined 9 carries. We have to give Johnson a reason to call them.

Yes.  They still don't look like they know their assignments.  You seem guys throwing their hands up before the play and bam touchdown

Lol, my boy got married there. Beautiful place. He hit the jackpot—his wife comes from money. Lucky F.

On the niners last td. The D was totally outschemed. Look at the 3 d lineman having a party by themselves. Lol

Fans are aholes on days like this.

That’s really not a desai thing. That’s an Eagles philosophy of wanting to run a Vic fangio type of defense. So he’s running what they want him to and what they envisioned him doing. If you had better players, I think it looks a lot better. However, I think this is a philosophical approach at the Eagles need to look into and say maybe the league is changing for this defense against better offenses is it good enough to win at the biggest games against the best offenses. Miami has had the same issues with fangio and he has Ramsey and Howard

The difference last year was we had 55+ sacks and seemed to be able to get to the QB. This year we play so soft that there’s not even time for the rush to impact the QB. We have got to get hands on receivers to have any chance at stopping an NFL offense. You can just sit back with your hands in your pockets playing sticks coverage every play. It’s literally impossible for a DB to guess right every time lol. You can run a cover 4 shell and be more aggressive. You can call smarter and more efficient blitzes and coverage behind. He’s just not good at anything. It just seems like he has no blame somehow? It’s the players… well that’s what the coach wants… well injuries. What’s he done well? Watch Jordan Davis and Jalen Carter blow up the run game, what else?

It’s an eagles want a fangio type defense thing and this is how that system is played. That’s a philosophical approach to defense. It’s shown against better offenses with the eagles over two years to really not work unless your pass rush just absolutely wrecks the game.
