I didn’t see him make contact.  He pointed at him then Greenlaw pushed him in the face.

He got in the middle of the scuffle to break it up, reached over the refs to push Greenlaw back, and then Greenlaw put his hand in his face.

Ok.  Whole point was the schedule is getting easier.

That's it.

Should be but we’ll see. Watch them lose out lol

I’m geared up for that game in Seattle.  Eagles haven’t won there since 2008 and have lost 9 of the last 10 to the Chickens — many of those games the Eagles had the better team.

Hoping the Eagles put up 40+

Sometimes he looks like a qb and other times he doesn’t. Idk what his problem is at times.

No one to check down to. We have two good pass catching RBs and I believe they were not part of the playbook (I’ll have to watch the replays) when Hurts had all that time cause he’s waiting for his WRs to get open with nothing to check down to.
*just to note; no Goedert was a big factor too.

Swift has been solid. He was third in the nfl just last week in rushing.

nah but last year we would just run the ball down peoples throats because we knew we could get 5 yard a pop. this year we are getting like 3.1 or something. also most of his yard came early in the year. since then we havent been nearly as dominate on the ground.

6 Straight touchdowns allowed by the defense today. SIX. In a row. No punts. No turnovers. No FGs. Pfffft

No short drives either

Well they had a better defense last year and looked the same exact way vs the chiefs in February. Doesn’t seem like the Players matter to me. The coach doesn’t matter to you. So let’s just throw our hands up and say the scheme is broken snd we have no hope for a competent team and let’s quick watching until it’s fixed?

The Eagles philosophical organizational approach is exactly what they wanted from Jonathan Gannon, and desai. Do you wanna know why? They basically asked Jim Schwartz to do the same Fing thing. So we can go on fire every Fing coordinator from now until the end of time but guess what? The Eagles are gonna hire somebody that does the same thing because that’s the organizational approach. So it all starts with an Eagles changing the organizational approach on how they want to play defense. You seem to think it’s only the coordinators dictating them playing defense this way. ITS NOT

The other issue is the Eagles lack the talent on defense to play the way they want to play. Same as in 2021.

the Eagles have 3 players with very high levels of physical talent, rookies,  who rarely see the field.

Nolan Smith 4.39 238, Kelee Ringo 4.36 207, Ben VanSumeren 4.45 231.

Who would be better at ILB?  Reddick, Morrow, Elliss?

yea i mean i have no clue why Ringo hasnt seen any time given how bad Ricks has been. Nolan Smith im not sure can play ILB.

I also am on record for Fire Gannon lol. It doesn’t absolve DeSai for me sorry. I haven’t seen one single player over perform in this scheme and there’s normally a bright spot in your defense, and he has 0. These guys are NFL players, he needs to do better. He’s the one who came in his press conference talking about representing a city with toughness and being palpable. They’re softer than wet cookies.

Gannon and Desai have similar soft schemes. They play those shells and where Fangio is great at disguising his back-end, these two aren't. Combine that with lack of any imaginative blitz  and you have a D that is built to not give up the big play deep (note the big plays today are generally catch and runs), make the offence work their way down and hope for a mistake. Then rely on the offence to make more of its opportunities than the opposing offence does.

The issue is a lot of the NFL is that way these days but it just doesn't align with Philly's personality

And two gems of punts from Mann to pin them inside the 15 and 10.

Other than playing more press, I'm not sure what other option he has. TBH, I'd prefer this in games we're getting killed just to force the action and not get nicked and dimed down the field.

I had to go out with the wife shortly after the Dom scuffle and Eagles subsequent TD — so I left at the right time, I guess.

Were there any Eagles injuries today?

Arizona just beat Pittsburgh. Any given Sunday.

Arizona will be a better second half of the season team than first half of the season team.

Murray > Dobbs

You can call plays and make changes within a scheme. We see him mixing it up, everything he calls doesn’t make sense though lol

Same with the offense. Is our Philosophy  all of a sudden abandon the run, unless it’s by the QB? or does the offensive coordinator get blame for calling bad games? Or is he absolved as well becusse Goedert has been hurt and Quez was hurt and we lost Seumalo and Lane has been injured and Hurts has a knee issue again?

Carroll has their number. Jets ended their streak can Philly? We’ll see how this next game goes. Another blowout and they are screwed.

Gannon benefited from an easier schedule last season. If he faced the gauntlet of teams Desai has faced the past month, we probably would have seen similar results.

our corners are too slow we will have Bradley flash backs of our corners being burnt toast.

We’re far removed from the Jim Johnson days.

I don't know what the hell Howie was thinking letting CJ go....bringing back Slay when the plan was to move on....bringing back JB...letting White and Edwards go....and replacing them with crap. He did a bad job past the DL and Swift.

I can’t really blame Howie as much this off-season because they didn’t have the money to go out and do it with signing hurts to an extension We all knew they were going to have to go cost cutting measures because they didn’t have the cap space this year. It’s why we had to decide on bradberry or CJGJ. We all knew they were gonna take a step back in 2023 on defense. Hopefully by 2024 and 2025 they can clear some cap space to go out there and fix parts of their defense so that they could be better off. And also draft some guys on the back 7 and have success.

Hurts got hurt for a bit.

Miss JJ and the physicality of his defense.

10-2

Be lucky to be 13-4 at seasons end.

The main issue with this team I have had all year is the conservative play calling on both sides.

Wr screens, Qb draws on offense. No using the run game to establish the line of scrimmage.  Long developing pass plays instead of slants, screens, passes over the middle.  Idk if the playcaller doesn't have patience to matriculate the ball down the field or if Hurts is missing the intermediate routes.

On Defense, they are just letting the offense dictate to them. Same as Gannon.  I am sure we all miss the days of Jim Johnson when the D would make the offense account for what they doing, not the other way around.

They need to decide what kind of team they really are.  Are they going to play scared all.game and let the opposition dink and dunk their way down the field?  Or are they going to start dictating to the offense?

Last year they had an identity on O of we are going to run the ball down your throat and there is nothing you can do about it.  They need to bring that to Dallas
