You didn't watch that very closely.  Carroll and the other personnel on the sidelines were restraining the Seahawks player (looked like Metcalf), not interacting with the opposition, and you'll also note there are no officials in the middle there that anyone would be reaching over to get involved.  Dom reached through/over an official to make contact.   He was wrong.   It's ok to say that.  He doesn't need to be defended.  His heart might have been in the right place, but his hands weren't.

Yeah, he was... and he was in the middle of HIS GUYS trying to hold them back.  Not a single person from the Seattle side gave a shove to the Patriots player, and none of them reached over/around an official to do it.

Yea Pete Carroll is pushing his players back. Notice how the majority of the time his back is turned to the Patriots players. There's also like close to 40 people crammed together. Completely different than Dom walking up to two players and 2 refs and shoving an opposing player. 

I know people think Leonard may be washed, but I think a lot of it was lack of motivation in Indy. A change of scenery will do him a ton of good. I'm excited to have him. At worst, he's better quality depth than Christian Elliss and Captain RAS Ben VanSumeran. I mean, he's only 28. Not ancient for a LB.

Well, almost by default he is an upgrade over Morrow yesterday. Wouldn't be shocked to see him and Cunningham as the starters. Hope he has something left.

Two back surgeries mean that while the calendar says 28, the reality of his body might be closer to 48.   Still... we are talking about him bumping Christian Ellis for PT.  Not a big loss there.   And if we find he's truly washed... what have we lost?

I'll wait until the weekend to decide if this is a good signing or not

Last time I checked, Goedert wasn't in charge of personnel decisions. 

We have zero depth at the position, Stoll and Calcaterra are PS players at best. 

I hope he's the player we want him to be. We will absolutely need him on Sunday against Dallas.

F Goedert.  This isn't a high school popularity contest.  If Ertz makes this team better, then the Eagles need to make the move.  And Ertz is definitely a better option than Stoll, Calcaterra and the useless Julio Jones.  Pretty simple calculation if you're in this to win games
