Interesting that Leonard is going straight to the 53 instead of the PS.

Only has to beat out a corpse or two.

Not only does Trevor look like one of those heads from Easter island but he’s as fast as one too

Zac Taylor going for a 4th and 3 basically at midfield has already cost the Bengals the game.

Jake Elliott makes that kick in a rainstorm...

SIrianni is being held to the standard of last season, rightly or wrongly. They definitely are not as dominant as last season. Can point to the competition, but it's very clearly more than just that. Watching them play every week, they are not as dominant and aren't executing as well across the board.

Sure, he should get credit for being 10-2, but if the Eagles go out in the playoffs this season in embarrassing fashion, the narrative is going to change on Sirianni very quickly. Not that he's a bad coach, but you know damn well some people will be throwing the word "overrated" around and you know damn well the narrative that Steichen was the brains behind the operation is going to dominate the offseason in many corners of the fan base. Especially if the Colts make the playoffs.

This season was SB or bust from the start. A high bar to set, but it is what it is given last season and this roster. And if they get smoked in the playoffs, let's be real, this team is going to be remembered for being fool's gold. A team that was able to barely squeak out games that looked vulnerable for weeks and was finally exposed. That doesn't mean that people will think that Sirianni did a bad job either, but people would be going into 2024 with a very cautious eye, that's for sure. Especially if they can never recapture the dominance of 2022.

Let's hope none of it comes to this and they win the Super Bowl, which I still think they're very capable of.

They aren't even supposed to make it to the playoffs if you look at history, the loss of starters, and new coordinators. They're way ahead of schedule with a legit chance to get back.

Going for it on 4th and 3 on the opponent's side of the field is the right call. Punting might net you 35 or so yards at best, 25 yards at worst, and it's too far for a FG. Factor in the upsides and downsides, and going for it comes out as the correct answer. If you convert, you get a major boost to win probability, and if you don't you surrender ~30 yards of field position which is not proportionate to the upside of converting it. In other words, the reward outweighs the risk at league average conversion rates.

Sorry if posted, but not sure where he's wrong here.

Sirianni has really good in-game decision making.  The slow starts are a function of the game plan, IMO.  He may be a better in-game head coach and motivator than he is an offensive schemer and X and Os.

That’s how I see it.

Huh? The defense had stops first two possessions and the offense could only manage 6 points while in the redzone both times. Make that 14 0 and game has a different feel.

When you watch the niners offense then the Eagles, the scheme looks basic as all hell. This has to be a Siri thing. He's the designer after all.

NCAA really f’n it up.  Didn’t even have the decency to invite Travis to the Heisman presentation after their playoff decision.

These players still do group dance celebrations.  How stupid.  It was kinda, sorta cool like 5 years ago.

Yup, the D deserves some flak for yesterday, but 90% of it was the O being completely useless outside of the OL and Smith.

Ertz sign with the Eagles yet?

Sirianni game plan:

I had a small grocery order delivered by a Cowboys fan tonight. He tried to give me crap about us getting help from the refs. I reminded him of the amount of favorable calls Dallas gets at home, and he kind of shut up. Plus, he hates Skip, which I thought was cool.

I hate to say it, but he seemed like a good dude. However, I still thought about lowering his tip. 😂

One thing to point out - and I don’t think it will make anyone feel much better about yesterday’s game - the 49ers basically threw their entire offensive playbook at us.

This was their #1 revenge game - they waited all year for and yes, they opened up their play book.   We, on the other hand, seemed to run a relatively vanilla offense (whether intentional or not).  Not sure it will help us or hurt them down the line but that’s my 2 cents on it.

Am i wrong?  lol i was pretty drunk most of the game, so i might be off by about 15% or so.

We gave up a TD on every single drive after their first two possessions. I'm really struggling to understand how you've come to the conclusion that our offense takes 90% of the blame for that.

We got the doors blown off of us. We can play the what if game until the cows come home, but trying to act like we would've won that game had it not been for our offense settling for FGs on the first two drives is reminiscent of the niners fans whining that they would've beat us in the NFCCG if Purdy didn't get hurt. That game would've had a different feel too if Purdy never got hurt, but we still would've won then, and they still would've won last night even if we put up TDs instead of FGs in the first two drives.

Offense needed to have time of possession of 52 mins to 8 mins

yea youre wrong on this. the defense couldnt get off the field & our offense had to be perfect to make up for them scoring a TD on 6 straight drives.

Exacly. I mean, it'd still be an asinine statement even if the offense gave our defense short fields all game, but we literally never turned the ball over once, our defense never forced one of their own, and we gave up almost 500 yards in total. Even 50% is laughable, but 90% he says. 90
