last year smith had the most receptions ever by an eagles WR, and Brown had the most yards ever. Two record breaking WR seasons in the same year. And Miles Sanders broke out with red zone proficiency finally, and averaged over 5 yards per carry on the season. Everything was so much more consistent, and came so much easier.

This year every good statistical accomplishment looks considerably more difficult to come by. The Brown stretch of dominance did come easy, but the rest of the offense struggled during that time with turnovers, drops, other players being pretty invisible....

I suspect theres a pretty large degree of the NFL just catching up to the eagles offense designed for Jalen Hurts. 

I suspect his slower processing is because defenses have learned how to make his decisions more difficult. 

I dont think the NFL can get to the point where they can stop it. The talent is too good. And Hurts is going to make plays, as well as our skill players. But theyve caught up enough to make it more difficult and less consistently successful on a drive by drive basis. 

And Hurts just isnt a guy who can run a more nuanced, complicated offense. This is what we have to work with. 

I think the best way to help it improve again would be re-establishing a dominant ground game.
