Doug doesn’t fire assistants, but that’s a fireable offense.

Doug bringing in Nick and Reich. Getting the band back together!!!

Idk why I thought Pederson got fired. I confused home with Reich.

I meant my prediction of Greenwell throwing a cheap spot.

Understood.  In its entirety it was the following, "*Dre Greenlaw cheap shots the crap out of someone again and doesn’t get fined. Kenny Gainwell attempts to break a tackle and gets fined 10k by the league.”

Why don’t the jags have a cart?

Why the hell wouldn't there be a cart for a guy with an ankle injury?  I'm no doctor, although I did play one for two seasons of a popular daytime soap in the '80s, but seriously that can't be the protocol for a potentially broken ankle?!

Edit: I am so high, I didn't even realize until afterward that you commented about the absence of a cart.  :smoke:

Swift will have to average 18 Carries per game for the rest of the season to get as many rushing attempts as miles did last season. He’s gotten 18 or more twice so far.

Swift has had 2 games that combine rushing attempts are less than Miles every had in any one game last season.

The Misusage of our offensive skill players is disgusting. AJ Brown, Smitty, and Swift should boardline be unstoppable in any 1 on 1 situation. They should be constantly moving and stacking and forcing bad matchups. Instead we get to the LoS with 6 seconds and snap the ball at 1 and have no read on the defense or adjustment or anything. I don’t get it. When Hurts gets to the line and can check in and out of plays and coordinate things he’s very sharp. We’re doing a disservice to the team by just walking up and snapping it lol. We’re the best worst team. The staff has been a huge negative.

Hopefully the staff learns from the San Fran game.  They were able to get big plays on easy passes by using motion to get a WR isolated on a LB, etc.  And they kept running, they found the right side of our D and pounded it.  Learn from others, learn from losing.

I agree.  Not sure whose idea it was to come out with that vanilla looking offense, against one of the best defenses in the league…and think it would have worked.

Shanahan, on the other hand, seemed to throw his entire playbook at us….to the tune of 42 points.

Johnson hasn't stuck with the run all season, it's like Sirianni just does not recognise the concept of tough sledding early game to wear down the defense.

To be clear, I think Sirianni as head coach is empowered to tell the OC to call more runs if he disagrees with the ratio and he obviously isn't calling it out so far.

This is what I've been complaining about all year.

Shotgun runs only work consistently IF the QB is a legitimate factor in the run game to read "someone" or make that backside EDGE stay home. Hurts doesn't keep it enough, therefore opposing teams are crashing without worrying about it.

We need more under-center runs to make the offense more consistent OR tell Hurts to keep it more. I don't think they want Hurts turning his back to the defense on play-action, so we're left with an offense that is inconsistent running the ball and and offense that currently only has 2 reliable receivers.

That might have been Nick’s strategy…let ‘em win now, and save all our good stuff, like tackling, running the ball, linebackers, and safeties for the playoffs. 4D chess.

Yes under center with the jet sweeps and movement similar to what the 9ers were killing the Eagles with.

My goodness. AJ Brown is having the best year of his career. Smith is on pace for similar yards as last year (1,181 and 8.5 TDs) and Swift has already hit a career high in rushing. I wish he was used more in the passing game, but he’s resurrected his career here.

I know, but it seems like empty yards sometimes. In these games they struggle, it just feels like they have no plan on how to get these guys the ball. They are still getting the ball but IMO, they could be worlds better.

Look at AJ Brown and the slant. The play looks unstoppable but the only thing stopping it is the Eagles because they stop calling it. We know the RB screen can work but the Eagles don't call it. They rely on dump offs that might get 4 yards.

I just feel like despite their great stats, the Eagles stars are being misused.

I’m not sure how comfortable Hurts is passing from under center. We could at least add more pistol so the defense has to honor the RB’s two-way go a little bit more.

There’s a huge difference between not being used to their max potential and being misused or not being able to figure out how to use them.

It seems like they have a pretty good idea. You can’t put up their level of production without it.

Look at other top offenses around the league. It’s hard to support 3-4 playmakers. Dallas as one, while the others around Lamb rotate popping up. SF has an awesome group, but Deebo, Aiyuk and Kittle take their turns while CMC is steady every week. Tyreek is the single most dominant WR right now but Waddle frequently has quiet games opposite him. Tee Higgins had fewer than 21 yards in four of his first five games this year.
