When have you EVER seen this TE make a catch like that lol. Come on man

A lot. He should have thrown that because that's what the progression is.

If Stoll can't catch that, you simply don't have him run those routes.

If you never throw it you'll never know right? And if throw is under thrown, they may get PI out of it with the stumbling Defender. Staring it down and not throwing is a definite area of improvement for Hurts at the moment.

If that's Goedert, he gives him a chance. We need Goedert back in the worst way since we can't dominate bad teams with the run like we did last year when he was hurt.

And, yes - if that is Ertz, he throws it.

Absolutely. He doesn't trust these other TEs. That man can barely run his route with those two left feet. I can't tell who it is but the lack of athleticism makes me think it's Stoll. Yeah... I'm not throwing that ball either. Goedert or Ertz that thing is out for sure. QBs are like point guards. They know who to make those passes to and who not to.

Big blow. Playing the Bears outdoors when you don't have your best run defender is tough too.

I'd put the chances of completing that throw to the TE at less than 30%.  The safety made up ground pretty quickly, and the refs weren't calling the DPI against SF for screening the receiver.

Hurts has had 3 really poor first halves in a row, though.

And... exactly who is that TE?   Is it one of the 2 guys that has 0 receptions, or the one with 4 receptions?

Check out the one below which is worse. Clearly Jalen isn't looking at the TEs at all with Goedert out. It worked last year as we ran the ball down people's throats, but this year his refusal to throw to Stoll/Grant/Albert O is killing us. Seems SF picked up on it and new he wasn't even looking their way.

If only there was a guy available who could help in that area...  🤔

I am seeing more of these snaps now and man oh man oh man did Hurts f'ing suck in this game.  He waited too long on everything.

I’ve felt this way for a while. Hurts has played somewhere between 2022 and 2021 hurts. There’s times like second half vs. Buffalo he looked like 2022 hurts. There’s times like the jets game or first half KC and Buffalo he’s looked much closer to 2021 hurts. The issue is the eagles aren’t beating the niners or winning a Super Bowl with how the defense looks unless he plays like 2022/SB hurts consistently

I think we know lol.

He isn't a good QB when it comes to seeing the field. It's always been a weakness if we are honest.  He decides where it is going and that is it.

You know when you were a kid and you tried to tight rope a curb to see how fast you can go without falling off... that's how that guy looked running the route lmao.

No no no... give him a chance... what's the worst that could happen it bounces off of his hands into the defenders lap? :)

Plays like this are where we missed Cunningham's violence.

then be a man of your word & do it. keep pounding the ball & let our big boys up front eat & set the tone.

It didn’t help the running game when Hargrave was taking Kelce’s lunch.

Annoys me to no end the way Sirianni has such an allegiance to certain role players.

Quez should not play 22 more snaps than OZ. Albert O should not be playing 32 snaps. Jack Stoll is only a complementary player, not a real TE2. What is Julio even doing?

Offense moving forward should feature AJB, Devonta, Goedert, OZ, and Ertz in that order. Continue flexing out Swift and playing around with motion. Bring Stoll and Quez in only for certain concepts.

It's not that Fing hard. Play your best guys.

I think the Rams may give the Niners a game.  Perhaps the Seahawks (albeit at SF so....).

Dallas on the road in Miami and Buffalo should be two Ls. Heck, in theory, could lose to the Lions in Dallas too.

lol...3 losses there? That's a reach man. I'll give them an L in one of those three games, @ Miami , a 10 - 20% chance they lose two. 0% chance they lose three. It doesn't matter really other than going into the playoffs with good positive momentum vs backing into the playoffs. Dallas will not catch PHI for the division championship and the #1 or #2 seed. Barring a collapse by DAL the 6th and 7th seeds (currently MIN & GB) who are 3 games behind the Cowboys with 5 to play will not catch them to take the 5th seed...DAL would have to lose 4 out of the last 5 to change that.

Add to it that Gainwell shouldn't be at 39 to Swift's 30. Swift should be double of what Gainwell plays.

Smith does such a great job of setting the edge. Noticed it for a few weeks now

I'm not doubting Jalen Hurts as the Eagles QB and unquestioned leader.

However, plays like this were the reason I wasn't sold on him prior to last year. There's no reason to bail out of the pocket. This habit has crept back in to his game in a big way. He's got to break this habit and start trusting the pocket again. There's so much this team has to improve and Hurts is a big part of it.

Do you see any sort of throwing lane there?  There's 6 guys at the line of scrimmage in his throwing lane -

- meaning he would have needed to touch pass the ball a second before the TE makes his cut (hoping the TE makes that cut outside) and time it there before the DB zeroed in (which he would have since it would have needed to be a touch/rainbow type of pass to get it there). Not an ideal but high risk throw.

Those type of deeper out patterns in traffic (especially for slower TE’s) tend to require harder thrown balls - and he did not have a throwing lane to make that type of throw.

It was likely a clear out route they're not dialing anything up for that guy are you serious.
