AJ Brown not making the effort to make his block has been a common theme this season.  At his size and build, he should be an elite blocking WR for the few times he's called upon.  Lots of WR screens have failed this year because of Brown not blocking his guy.

Agreed. He’s a bully when the ball is coming his way but his effort level without the ball is meh.

Yeh, at least he didn't hold...stalk blocking is easier said than done...we used to run mirror drills a lot to teach our young ones...

Exactly.  At best you get there don't hold and try and go straight back or turn out or in. At best. Even in the Pros.   Not like you can body block them.

We released Cam Sims off the PS?

We might actually have to root for the Cowboys when they face the Lions. It sounds gross but it might be the case. Prepare yourselves!

It's one reason I'm glad Dallas' schedule lays out the way it does. By then, we should have a clear picture if we need to get a barf bag before pulling for a Dallas wi...I mean a Detroit loss when they go down there.

Making room for somebody.  🤔

Big loss, he was killing it

Wasn't McNeil the source of conflict in the Eagles' draft room?

It didn’t help the running game when Hargrave was taking Kelce’s lunch.

i actually thought the Line was fine. but it also just help when we just go away from it after some bad runs. gotta keep trying to at least force our will on them.

I have no issue with that. I ONLY root for what is best for the Eagles.  I even do it for things that helped us retrospectively. For example, I still root for the Raiders for the one time they helped us back into the playoffs by beating.... was it MN?

Tampa.

Lions lose this week at the Bears.  You heard it here first.

Copy that. Thx.

Not trying to get too down here because he’s the best receiver this team has had in almost 20 years since TO, but AJ worries me a bit. Especially if the team starts to face challenges and suffers a few losses. One of the things I’m curious to see with the character of this team is how they face adversity. There hasn’t been a lot of losing the past two seasons so it’s easy to be happy and all smiles. But after the ass-kicking they got Sunday and another tough test coming up, this is where you have to buckle down and be resilient.

I don’t know if it’s a cardio or lack of interest issue with AJ, but he just looks SLOW when things aren’t going his way. Not a lot of tenacity or fight. That needs to change.

Wow. That effort sucks. I was blown away by how great all the 49ers skill position players blocked and how physical they were. It makes it a lot harder on the defense when the offense is bringing that level of physicality.

Yes.  One of the other scouts or whatever he was stiffed Howie on a fist bump.

Guy has some balls.

Check out the one below which is worse. Clearly Jalen isn't looking at the TEs at all with Goedert out. It worked last year as we ran the ball down people's throats, but this year his refusal to throw to Stoll/Grant/Albert O is killing us. Seems SF picked up on it and new he wasn't even looking their way.

yea that was another bad one.

Supposedly, yea

Wouldn't surprise me, plus I still think they can lose at least 1 to Minnesota.

Plays like this are where we missed Cunningham's violence.

lmao marrow just getting washed.

That was the fatigue factor,  and having no LBs.

Conceivable next time we see them we have Cunningham and Leonard. That could be a huge difference.

Will Dean be back? Initially I thought he had a lis franc but sometimes I hear it's just a sprained foot. Couldn't hurt having him back.

I'm not doubting Jalen Hurts as the Eagles QB and unquestioned leader.

However, plays like this were the reason I wasn't sold on him prior to last year. There's no reason to bail out of the pocket. This habit has crept back in to his game in a big way. He's got to break this habit and start trusting the pocket again. There's so much this team has to improve and Hurts is a big part of it.

this is why we are struggling on offense. he is just not trusting his eyes then not trusting the line & always to rolling right pointing to no one & ends up holding the ball. he really needs to fix that issue. imo this is where we miss Shane the most.

Double downed there with JD the following draft, as light box defenses are actually susceptible to the run.

I heard he had surgery and is finished for the year.

Hurts is taking the 3rd longest in the NFL in Time To Throw -- 3.07 seconds.  Fields at 3.13 and Stroud at 3.09 are the only NFL QBs who take longer.  Sometimes that is a function of a downfield offense with more air yards; sometimes it's a function of the QB holding onto the ball too long.

For intended air yards per pass Hurts is 8th most; Stroud again is 2nd highest.

The one game I watched Stroud play he moved in the pocket effortlessly and only enough to avoid pressure and then reset his feet…all while keeping his eyes upfield. He’s impressive for a rookie.

It was a lisfranc. Dean said on IG he had surgery and his season is done. His first injury at the beginning of the year was just a foot sprain. This is his second on a different foot.

Not officially. We also haven’t officially signed Leonard because no one was cut yet. Guessing it all gets announced in the morning.
