Wouldn't surprise me, plus I still think they can lose at least 1 to Minnesota.

Yes, that's a loss too.  Detroit is pretty much a lock for the 3 seed.  Might be looking at 5 or 6 losses.

Don't know if I should laugh or cry.

Zach Ertz must have attended the Shaq Leonard school of dragging out the decision.  Although I wonder how much of a demand there is amongst the contenders when the Ravens who were the team that would need him the most made it clear they weren't interested.

Here’s a little trivia on Greg Ward:

Did you know that Greg Ward caught…

Spoiler

…Jalen Hurts’ 1st NFL career TD pass?

(Week 13 of the 2020 season against the Packers)

Zach can run a route where he doesn't look like he's running with his shoes tied... bring him in.

Maybe I missed something. Did the eagles express interest in him?

The Eagles are likely in the mix.  We usually are.

The SF loss was unpleasant, but necessary.  In the standings, it was just a loss that didn’t even knock them off the 1 seed.  But the Eagles received a message:

They are not the best team in the nfl.  They are regressed from last year on both sides of the ball in each aspect of the game.  They have persistent flaws that are part of their 2023 reality now.

And they could still win the SB.  That 10-1 record and string of unquestionably lucky wins enabled a denial.  That denial sapp’ed anything dynamic or creative from the game plans or schemes…there was a pervasive "we are 10-1, it’s working, we aren’t changing anything no matter how it looks.”

And now they know they need to make chronic adjustments, not just halftime adjustments.

Ironically, I think the ST are stronger.

Has there ever been a season with this much QB injury carnage?

Unfortunately... I'm not sure they have it in them to be any more creative than they have been. We'll see. Could be holding back a part of the play book. I always hope that every year it seems.

Not really a surprise the guy who missed 3 years in a row wouldn’t last a season.

Absolutely are.  The ST SUCKED week 1 and I was ready to pile on after last year.  They’ve been unquestionably better in returns and coverage.

I don't know but Shanahan is itching to get Purdy killed again. Not sure if you saw that play where Hassan got tackled before he could totally pummel Purdy again but they had a TE on him again on that play.

1991 stands out in my memory, but mainly due to the Eagles and 49ers.  Eagles lost Cunningham, then McMahon, then Kemp for a while, to return.   49ers lost Montana, then Young... ended the season with Steve Bono.

I think the Eagles, as an organization, have an enormous inertia with their charted course…and usually for good reason.

But if you are 10-1, you don’t change what you are doing with your all world DTs and run a ton of stunts.  You don’t change how you are blitzing.  You don’t find ways to weaponize an explosive rookie who is rough around the edges like Nolan Smith.

You don’t adjust the depth of the passing offense, which is either deep bombs or 0 yard passes.

Now, maybe they take a look at these things.

Who is this?

Not particularly insightful, but it does lay out a bit of how the operation runs.
