Josh Dobbs is doing some special stuff.  Detroit has two games against the Vikes in the last 3 weeks of the year.   BTW... why does the NFL do this with teams?  And Eagles play Giants twice in 3 weeks to end the season.  Why aren't these games more spread out?  Makes no sense.

I've long believed that the last 3 weeks of the NFL season should be only division games where every team plays each division opponent once in that final 3 game stretch.  Spread the other divisional games wherever in the season but those final weeks come down to the division games.

Hate the way they make the schedule. Even worse was last year when NYG/WAS played back to back with a bye week in between. And they tend to schedule good games in the middle of the season for some reason even though injuries usually change those plans. It would be so much fun to have Cowboys/Eagles week 1.

What could be even more crazy is the lions play the Vikings week 16 and 18. A chance the lions could face the Vikings in the wild card round and would be 3 out of 4 weeks.

Oh that Al Michaels.

Definitely would be fun but I would rather see them after two or three games into the regular season since preseason games are meaningless and there is still quite a bit of rust the first two weeks.

I do like the division only games for the last three weeks though. That is a tough three weeks going into the playoffs. Division games just have that edge and physicality to them that most other games don’t have, some teams are physical, but you can pretty much count in division games being very physical.

BTW, .75 of an inch of rain is expected to fall between tonight and throughout the day going into game time tomorrow.

The Chiefs had new turf installed at the beginning of this season. Teams are required by rule to cover their field if inclement weather is in the forecast.

There shouldn’t be any issues with the field and the rain that does fall during the game should be negligible from an impact on the turf perspective.

I hope you did that on purpose

Jalen's worst game this season was against the Jets in the rain.  But I think the entire team was also overlooking the Jets for the Dolphins the next week on SNF.  I've seen Hurts and the Eagles also play very well in rain conditions.

Would MIN winning tonight be the only good result that's happened for the Eagles the past two weekends?

Wow, one game went our way lol.

Yea we can't expect to get any help, lot of these teams have way easier schedules than we do

That was a great throw by Russell Wilson against a zero blitz.  Hard to score TDs when your targets have bricks for hands

I’m hoping for someone to assume I didn’t.

Alex Singleton giving up 20 yards on a 3rd and 20 screen pass.  Don’t miss that guy one bit

Dobbs is just not a starting QB

Collinsworth thinking 3:17 is enough time the Broncos should play to score quickly, so that if Minnesota scores quickly in response they will get another possession to try to score.  Can’t make up that kind of stupidity

Probably got that tackle though, let's go

Bears could have really helped us out today. 🤬

Dobbs doesn’t really know what he’s doing out there.

He could be.  That Vikings offense is depleted and Hutchinson had a lot of drops down at the end.

Dobbs at like $20M next year would be better for the Vikings than Kirl at $45 M per year or whatever he is going to get.

Doesn't help that he was running for his life on just about every play.

Also doesn’t help Denver’s defense has been  better lately then what they were earlier in the year. Last 5 weeks they’ve given up just 17.4 points per game and created 13 turnovers. I think that Miami game was rock bottom. Weren’t great the following two weeks but they got better each week and now they seem to have a better understanding of their personnel.

i present the chargers chargering it up

the chargers have lost 6 games.

Only one of the games was by two scores.

the other 5 losses were by 3 points or less.

two losses where they scored 34 and 38.

They are also averaging 25.9 ppg which ranks 8th in the league.

That's not what he meant. I'm pretty sure he meant that they should hurry up with 3:17 to go so that if they get into a fourth and long situation, they could punt and still be able to get the ball back with about two minutes to go, provided they stop the Vikings on their possession.

He was not talking about a score/score/score scenario.

He chose to run for his life; started scrambling prematurely on most of the plays I watched

No interest in going back and listening to Collinsworth again, but I’m positive he was trying to make the point for scoring quickly in case they needed to score again.  So, yes, he was talking about a score/score/score scenario.

I had the vast majority of the game on mute up to that point, because of the certainty that Collinsworth was saying dumb things like that all night — which he undoubtedly was
