maybe just comes across as such. when you say hurts can read a defense. but then going on to say Mariota can read defenses better is the icing on the cake 

This is the direction the league is going moving forward and being dead last isn’t good.

Frankly i could make the argument I’m not entirely against morrow being cut. I get why they didn’t due to injury concern to Leonard and Cunningham. He has experience. But he’s not good. And he got cut once and didn’t get claimed. And i rather see Ellis struggle in snaps and hope it leads to future development then morrow suck and it never leads to anything. 

They could have also just put Julio Jones on IR. He’s probably not playing this week and they don’t need him for Seahawks, Giants and Cardinals. Then you can bring him back for the playoffs if needed and not have to cut anyone.

One of the Tampa Bay coaches said it during the playoff game two years ago and some reporters made a big deal about it as a "revenge" game for Hurts this year when they played Tampa.  May have been Kevin Ross who said it.  So Hurts not being able to read a defense is hardly breaking news or racist.

It’s interesting.  It all comes down to money.  I’m sure agents review lifetime earnings with players and there are some good quants weighing 1 year faster to a lucrative 2nd deal versus several million to stick around for the 4th year.

And I’m sure the boosters are seeing what they can do get their stars for the 4th year.
