It could on offense. Defense... doubtful but I still don't think they have bottom of the league talent on defense. Better plans designs and execution. That's what they can improve. Will they ..well that is questionable. As for talent and personnel yeah that's not changing much.

I think that secondary is bottom of the league to be honest. Bradberry really does look cooked and those LBs are just not very good.

Yeah you are right. And look the Niners lost 3 straight and yet here they are. I just think it’s the manner of those losses and that we’ve not seen a truly impressive performance all year.

Niners at least had an excuse of losing Williams and Samuel at the same time. If we lost Mailata and Brown we'd struggle too. Frustrating part is this team is basically the healthiest it's been all season but struggling.

I would actually bring in Frank Reich to be an assistant to Brian Johnson and Nick Sirianni. Now if you want to make the move to push him into the offensive coordinator role in the offseason I could see it. I don’t think they would though.

I would too.  I would have called as soon as he was fired.  I'd even bring in Duce if Reich said no.   They need new eyes on this offense.

I know you put it quotes, but I would be remiss if I didn't say that the majority of folks who take the time to find and post on this board and specifically in the blog are not casual fans. Now, their level of football IQ can rightly be debated (myself included), but solid fan to die hard is what tends to be here. I live in Seattle now and theses are generally casual or fairweather fans....with a few exceptions.

Best evidence of the higher quality of analysis and dialogue on here is to have an in person conversation with another fan of this or another team.

Do I think Ringo can play better than him right now? Hell no.

Do you think he can play worse?   Bradberry is like a beacon out there right now for teams to target.   Ringo would too... but at least he might learn something.  Bradberry is done.   AND, he offers almost no effort in tackling.   Ringo, at least, tries in run support.

Anybody counting out the Chiefs?

I don’t think with Andy and Mahomes they can be counted out… But man those WRs suck and they aren’t getting any better.

Yeah I mean his actions at the end of the game yesterday is troubling. And I’m not saying fire Sirianni but like what was that all about? So last week he keeps his starters out there and gives some BS rain at the end. Then this week he pulls them. Like Sirianni be true to yourself because that’s what has made you so likeable and relatable.

He learned from last week which is good. I thought he got Swift killed unnecessarily. I feared he would miss some time.

Derek Gunn said it last night that they looked uninterested. I went back and watch the 49ers game last week. And I watch the first half of this game. They aren’t in interested. I think they look like they’re zapped of energy. Which isn’t that surprising when you’re playing this gauntlet of a schedule that they are and literally before the last two weeks their games were all super close with high emotion energy type games. At some point in time you’re not gonna be able to match that emotion and have that type of energy consistently. Eventually you’re going to be running on fumes and it’s going to collapse. Why blowing out bad teams is nice. And it just so happens when this hits  you’re facing teams coming 10 days rest and something to prove against you.

This does not excuse all the other issues the eagles have. Because those are big time issues.

I can see that. Sure, maybe I’m giving them way too much slack for these two games considering the murder’s row they went through. Heck, those close wins had me emotionally drained and I was just sitting on my couch.😂

And yes, the big issues are there and that’s why I my confidence for the playoffs isn’t very high.

On a positive note, I am still glad that we get to discuss this and actually "talk about playoffs”. Better to discuss the faults of a 10-3 team than the dumpster fire Giants, Panthers etc.

And look he was right to pull the starters but he should have done that last week. The messaging there just makes no sense.

While none of this will happen, here's some interesting ways to shake things up/fix the issues:

1. Sirianni takes over play calling. I know, it wasn't great in 2021. But maybe he can be better this time. We need more of a commitment to the run, more passes to the middle of the field, more RPO and screens. If Johnson can't adjust, Nick should take back the reins.

2. If not #1 above, then bring in Reich to help Johnson. Something has to change.

3. I know I will get KILLED for this but...go all walk throughs this week in practice. The team is exhausted, especially the defense.

4. Bench Bradberry for Jobe or Ricks. Ringo isn't ready, but at least Jobe and Ricks will fight. If they want to use Bradberry in the slot again, maybe, because Roby sucks too.

5. Get Syndey Brown on the field more.

Yes, of course I think Ringo would play worse. I’d say it’s almost a certainty.

First time they got blown out and manhandled this year so i think he was shell shocked.

5. Should be easy, as Blankenship will probably be out next game.

I don't think the play calling would look any different considering that he already influences it a great deal.

Bradberry is horrendous in the slot... no way

Yeah, true. I just feel like Brown makes plays. Even when he got beat by the TE, it was good coverage and just a perfect throw.

Brown is terrible in man coverage. He's the one that gave up the big play to Ferguson on the failed blitz

Yeah, but the coverage wasn't awful. It was a perfect throw.

Not the only play that he's been beat on. Seems more like a box safety than a cover guy.

I know he gave that up, but that was actually pretty good coverage IMO. It was a perfect throw by Dak. The tackling afterwards wasn’t good though.

This is pretty telling and definitely a mentality that hasn't just arisen the past two games. I think they've known all year long that they've been playing C+ overall football, have been getting bailed out by other teams' mistakes, and are really 3-4 plays going the other way from being 8-5/7-6. They're aware of the issues and what needs to be corrected, but no one in the building knows how or what to do.

Using him in the slot exclusively earlier this year was a mistake, but as a box safety who has to occasionally take a TE, I like it. I don't want him on Smith-Njigba...but then again, I don't want Roby or JB on him either.

Oh, and F the Chiefs and Nick Wright
