We don’t have enough information to say he’s the future. He was a fourth round pick and played his first real snaps last night. People are getting way ahead of themselves.

We wont get that info with him on the bench....  how much worse could he be? and does it matter?

Is there any debate to be had that the player texting Derrick Gunn about route tree's is anyone other than AJ Brown?

It’s always someone with A and J in their name. Aj brown and Alshon Jeffery lol.

Well if it’s anything like the past 4 weeks it’s gonna be a long Monday night. Honestly the way their pass rush has been inconsistent and how sweat talked last night, makes me think the eagles say F it in the offseason and go all in on someone like Brian burns.

I really think the D-line is playing with dead legs. I know it goes against all instincts to work harder when things are going wrong, but...we should do all walk throughs or at least 2 instead of one this week. Plus the extra day with the game on MNF. Carter and Davis in particular have no juice right now.

Should have went all in on him this year if you knew you were dumping Barnett. DL is wasted.

I made the point last night with Carter and Davis is that they’ve never been asked to play 17 games. Or the amount of snaps they have to play. At Georgia they never did because they had such a great rotation. And last year Jordan Davis got hurt and missed weeks. Add on they had Suh and Joseph so he didn’t play nearly the snaps as you would think he would’ve played. Both of these guys are good players. But you’re caught up in the they have never done this before. That’s the major difference from last year’s unit at defensive tackle is that Hargrave did it 17 weeks plus the playoffs at a pro bowl level. And you had quality depth behind him. This team doesn’t have that depth and they don’t have the guys right now that have ever done 17+ games besides Cox. In the future, I think Davis and Carter will be fine, but the first time they’re ever having to do this. So you gotta hope you get a second wind

I agree and really if they aren't simply completely out of juice then they aren't winning anything anyway.  Let the team rest and hope that the gauntlet was just too much.  The first quarter against the 49ers was pretty good and the O wasn't all bad last night minus the turnovers.  There is a shot.

Do you think he can play worse?   Bradberry is like a beacon out there right now for teams to target.   Ringo would too... but at least he might learn something.  Bradberry is done.   AND, he offers almost no effort in tackling.   Ringo, at least, tries in run support.

We are a pretty long way from pre-season but in pre-season Ringo was easily the worst of the young CBs. Ricks, Jobe, and even Goodrich looked better than Ringo in coverage.

Ringo is about to become very overrated in here because he made 2 tackles in run support last night. He cant cover. Bradberry can cover in zone, which has always been his strength. Teams are beating him with speed in man. On the other side of the field, Slay should be in man 100% of the time, and always looks beat in zone coverage which seems how they make him play the majority of his snaps.

btw - This is the time to bring Suh back. They need him more than Ertz.

I think the compensation was too high. in free agency i think it’s just spending the money. I’d be really surprised if they weren’t in on him or another pass rusher. Even with smith developing. Would give them a really good 4 man rotation at DE.

If it were me I’d use the money to go get jaylon Johnson and sign someone like jewell, Queen, Walker jr or luvu. Then go into the draft and see if i could get another pass rusher in round 2 with one of my 2nd rounders. Use my first and other to get possibly a OT for lane’s eventual departure and a young CB.

Have a feeling suh doesn’t really want to play this year. I think we are past the point of where he’d be back already. I also don’t think it’s necessarily a given the eagles would be the only teams interested nor the only team he’d consider.

While none of this will happen, here's some interesting ways to shake things up/fix the issues:

1. Sirianni takes over play calling. I know, it wasn't great in 2021. But maybe he can be better this time. We need more of a commitment to the run, more passes to the middle of the field, more RPO and screens. If Johnson can't adjust, Nick should take back the reins.

2. If not #1 above, then bring in Reich to help Johnson. Something has to change.

3. I know I will get KILLED for this but...go all walk throughs this week in practice. The team is exhausted, especially the defense.

4. Bench Bradberry for Jobe or Ricks. Ringo isn't ready, but at least Jobe and Ricks will fight. If they want to use Bradberry in the slot again, maybe, because Roby sucks too.

5. Get Syndey Brown on the field more.

4 is spot on. Jobe and Ricks get killed in here but Jobe isnt bad, and Ricks looks quite good- when on the outside. Hes beeing underrated as people over-react to his poor slot reps and say he sucks. He doesnt suck. Hes mis-used like all of our other CBs on the roster.

5 also. It was a huge mistake to ever replace him with the starters.

Some people suggested all walk throughs the week after the bills game when the defense played 90 snaps. I thought it too. Im not sure why NFL teams who can track recovery wouldnt think about doing this. These players HAVE to be fatigued. And theyre going to be more susceptible to injury because of it.

Offense needs to be Reich. If they dont want to embarrass Johnson let Reich call plays from up in the box, but he has to become the OC even if not in name. Johnson can stand on the sidelines and try to look important but he should have no role on game days.

Yes, of course I think Ringo would play worse. I’d say it’s almost a certainty.

yep

I was thinking that as well, the defense needs rest.  It sounds counter intuitive after the last 2 losses, but maybe less physical work in practice and more film study and preparation on the mental side and some rest so they can be fresher.  The key is that mentally and emotionally they go out motivated and hungry, and frankly I'd love to see them pissed off and playing aggressive.  But they're gassed after the OT game and too many snaps in losses being dominated 2 weeks in a row.

DBs get beat by perfect throws. That's just how it goes. Sydney Brown in tight coverage against Ferguson is good!

Yep, and people are down on Ringo for his performance. The penalty play was bad. However, he was in perfect position on the throw to Michael Gallup and he made an incredible catch. It was the play that made me realize that everything the Cowboys do is going to work. Everything went their way.

We are a week removed from everyone but Bradberry getting torched by the Niners.

slay also gave nothing up in that game. Of course, he didnt tackle either.

I agree.  I actually thought about Siri taking over play calling if they're not going to change anything else coach wise.  Not sure it would help, because I think the issue is in the design of plays, the play book and the game plan.  BJ is in over his head and learning...slowly...if at all.  I think if there were better designed plays, creativity and less vanilla/predictability then BJ could do a better job if the plays on his sheet are a better crop to pick from.  I don't know why they don't have Reich in the building already helping consult.  They've done it in previous years even in mid season.

They haven't adjusted enough.  Mix up the run game, give the RBs more carries.  Add more motion and creativity.  On defense blitz more.  If the LBs suck anyway, just send the house more often.  Gotta shake things up when it's not working and you're getting dominated.

Lol. Your second stint was injury after injury. And the first time they cut you by using "gang member” to justify it. lol

This place is in TATERGEDDON with conspiracy theories and some wild hot takes.  Fire everyone, cut everyone, stop drafting from the SEC, Swift sucks (he's the 4th leading rusher in the league!), AJ Brown sucks (he's the 2nd leading receiver in the league!), the coaches are just puppets to Howie and Lurie who control the schemes and plays.

Losing causes frustration, that can manifest in getting jittery to want to make plays so you get false start, offsides, DPI and other penalties or show that frustration in venting and fighting (AJ vs Gilmore, Kelce screaming on the sidelines, etc.)  They are showing frustration after a tough stretch of schedule and getting beat down 2 weeks in a row after clawing to win an OT game.

That doesn't mean the team all of a sudden doesn't have faith in the coaches or Hurts.  Of course they're not happy about the losses and that frustration will show.

And if there are rumors about certain things, that could be a player or 2 who is immature or selfish and that doesn't reflect the whole team.  The team is full of high character guys who support each other and the coaches.  These conspiracy theories come out like cockroaches after losses.  It's happened with every owner, GM and coach.  There's always some conspiracy behind it all!

Guess he didn't bother to watch the game or have any sense of awareness when he was the special guest last week? You'd think he would notice that immediately.

Also why diss Mann. Had one of the best plays from last night

I get the attention on Ringo given last night, but I'd rather see Ricks or Jobe get the first crack at outside corner.

Jobe had his shot when Bradberry was out.
