Naw Andy did when he decided to give mahomes the early 2000s treatment at wr. Really rice is he only Wr on that roster worth anything. Toney is a headcase and a bust. Moore is a bust. Watson is a JAG. MVS is basically Todd pinkston. Rice is a rookie and he’s fine. But the rest scream of pinkston, thrash and Freddie

They traded a 2 for Toney. Traded for Mecole Hardman before the deadline. Toney is a complete wing nut and should never have been drafted that high, let alone traded for.  But not paying Hill was the issue.  Not sure they are Stinkston bad tho!

MVS is almost what pinkston was. Alligator arms and good for a deep shot every once in a while but not always consistent. Hardman is also a former bust. He’s fine as a backup but he is also perpetually getting hurt. Toney was a bust before he got there and he’s exactly the same bust since. Only like 2 games he’s looked good. Ofc one against us in the SB

they should’ve 100% paid hill. They didn’t want too and based on some of his interviews it felt like his relationship with mahomes was strained

If the Eagles can't clinch a top seed because they lose to the Cardinals or Giants then I'll be hoping they get obliterated in the wild card round. Because they'd clearly be total frauds at that point and the last thing I'd want is some fluky NFCCG run to convince them that they don't need change. I'd want it to become abundantly clear that things in that building aren't right and that would be hard to ignore if they went out that pathetically. Let's hope it doesn't come to that and they win out or at least win the last 3.

Their QB is a made man and the Zebras largely officiate games with that in mind. They got the same level of service that the Birds have had the toys exit the pram. I hope they don't make the playoffs, just for the entertainment value -a lot of talk will did Taylor and Trav curse that team?

Don't bite the hand that feeds...Mahomes just put a negative light on the Chiefs in a very loud way along with AR, when it comes the referees just calling the game. As a whole they may not be giving them the benefit of the doubt as often moving forward. Not likely but a possibility.

Their talent evaluation is the issue.  And belief in Patty making it all good, which until this year, he has.

I am sure the Zebra Whatsapp groups are talking about that game and their reaction to being penalised like everyone in the league is

🤣

This pretty much describes the offense perfectly in a nut-shell and if there's any good news to it it's that there is an answer to their issues because they've proven they can do it well. The things and concepts that they do actually excel at they don't do it enough.

  • 6th in success rate throwing in between the numbers but 30th in usage
  • 4th in RB screen success rate but 28th in usage
  • 7th in success rate running slants but 22nd in usage
  • 1st in success rate running curl routes but 28th in usage
  • 6th in rushing success/3rd passing success rate out of Pony personnel but 18th in usage

This to me is fixable. Defense on the other hand... well... I don't think anyone has many answers. Maybe rest and more rotation to keep guys fresh on the DL helps.

Been a talent evaluation with reid at that position for years. He hit on desean, Avant and maclin. But a lot of bleh or busts besides that. Reid has the same issue in KC. Hit on hill and potentially rice. But other than that a lot of bleh or busts.

I thought at the trade deadline they would make a splash and go all out to get themselves a legitimately good wide receiver. I think the Titans would’ve dealt DeAndre Hopkins at the right price. I also think Tampa Bay at the right price would have traded Mike Evans, cause they know he’s leaving at the end of this year. I thought the time for them to go for it was right now. Patrick Mahomes is in your prime, kelce is gonna decline ant some point soon and that defense is good enough to win a Super Bowl. Think about this, if the Chiefs could just score 24 points in every game, they would be have 1 loss right now. And with mahomes and kelce and that oline it really shouldn’t be this hard to do that if they had good WRs

Pinkston was actually pretty good if used the right way. One of the better deep threats that the Eagles had. He wasn't one of those guys that dropped a lot of passes. Just got a bad rep for short arming a few to avoid contact. I would take Pinkston over Quez any day of the week. Definitely better than MVS and arguably everyone not named Rice on that roster.

Their belief in Mahomes overrode the desire to trade. Plus they could look at Rice and Moore, with Toney and say, we have enough there. Kind of wonder if WR coaching is the issue

Ofc just shut up and Fing take care of your business

Sadly i actually worry about that offense against our defense. They are bad defensively but offense with murray they have weapons. McBride has been fantastic and getting better every week. Hollywood brown is a good wr. And James conner is healthy. And moore is a solid wr. If murray doesn’t do anything stupid he should have a good game against this defense

You just know he's going to treat the game like his personal Super Bowl given his garbage performance in the SB and all the garbage he's said about the Eagles since.

Conner embree’s is likely gonna be the fall guy at the end of the year.

We cannot.  But, it illustrates the desperateness of the situation.  Suh will need time to get into game shape, even if brought in now.  He wouldn't really be fully effective until Christmas at the soonest.  Bringing in Suh now is likely too late.

Man everything he said all week came back and bit him.  Hopefully he learned a lesson.

After the niners really didn’t play great yesterday. Felt like they had a small letdown to start that game after their SB with the eagles. Have a feeling the niners are putting up 40+

This is hilarious. So basically it's the exact thing I pointed out about midway through the Cowboys game but it's SO much worse than I thought. I pointed out that we just don't take the easy stuff and that we're always looking to throw the ball 10+ yards. Nothing about what we're doing presents easy options, and even though at the beginning of the season I felt like it was Hurts' fault, as the season went on I realized there was probably a schematic issue.

The 49ers pretty much refused to cover short all game and blanketed intermediate and deep. Left the short stuff wide open and we took NONE of it. No WONDER why they did that.

This is actually insane LOL.

I described it to a family member as 'the reason most teams didn't notice is because nobody thinks an NFL team can be so stupid to make the hardest level of football even harder, particularly if they lead the NFL in wins'. Turns out, it was even more true than I ever thought possible.

That does leave one question though. Does that actually mean...that the offense itself secretly has amazing potential and Jalen is actually scary good? I feel like that's really hard to determine, but I certainly would like to find out.

There's a big difference in my mind between a dominant running team and a team that runs the ball effectively.  They ran it effectively last year, in large part because Hurts was a bigger threat with his legs.  He can still run between the tackles when he gets the look he likes, but he's not bouncing it outside as much as he did last season, which really limits those option plays.  Part of it could be defenses adjusting, but I think part of it is health.

It also doesn't help that they've played a much tougher schedule of defenses than they did last year.  They've actually moved it at a similarly efficient clip when they've played bad defenses like Washington or even average defenses like the Bucs, Rams, and Bills.

Hurts said as much before the season. I'm sure people have noticed he doesn't take on tacklers head on like he used to. The way he's running this year should result in better health and game availability - IMO of course. He's not taking the hits he has taken in the past.

I seriously would trade Nick for Tomlin if the Steelers would be dumb enough to do it. Nick and his emotions will only go so far when he loses the locker room because they realize he doesn't know what he is doing. He has horrible coaches under him and he doesn't have a good offensive mind. I think it's about to get ugly.

For once i actually agree with ESP. It’s not just coaching. Guys need to also not make dumb penalties and make plays when they are there.
