Well, that just sucked. It was the first time I honestly wanted to just change the channel since maybe 2015. There was just zero fight in the team at all. After having a night to sleep on it, here's where I am at.

It was probably the second quarter when I asked schmoopie "What should I put on?  Game of Thrones?" and wasn't kidding.

I did end up watching the whole thing and got drunk on cheap red wine instead.

I seriously would trade Nick for Tomlin if the Steelers would be dumb enough to do it. Nick and his emotions will only go so far when he loses the locker room because they realize he doesn't know what he is doing. He has horrible coaches under him and he doesn't have a good offensive mind. I think it's about to get ugly.

Just saying Mike tomlin’s offense wasn’t exactly killing it and still isn’t after firing Matt Canada. I don’t think tomlin is the answer either. Maybe he helps the defense but the Steelers just struggled against a bad patriots team as well.

Far bigger problems on defense than Bradberry. People are acting like the guy is Bradley Fletcher out there. You can do worse than Bradberry. Other teams out there have better pass defenses than the Eagles with worse guys starting than Bradberry.

Yes, thank you. All this talk about playing Ringo or Ricks or whoever the F in place of our CBs acting like it's gonna matter as if we don't have far deeper systemic issues at play. For the love of all that is holy, it's driving me crazy.

Anyone have the percentages of motion we ran last year as compared to this year?

We may have sacrificed football intelligence for emotional intelligence.

Touchdown, first down, get down

For once i actually agree with ESP. It’s not just coaching. Guys need to also not make dumb penalties and make plays when they are there.

We’ve been committing OPI on pick plays for three years now. It’s a coaching issue.

This to me is fixable. Defense on the other hand... well... I don't think anyone has many answers. Maybe rest and more rotation to keep guys fresh on the DL helps.

Speaking of D, I read this today in an article which offers a pretty grim summary. The top 2 and bottom 2 are the most concerning stats...

Category Stat NFL Rank
Points allowed per gm 24.7 28th
Yards allowed 4,601 23rd
Defensive snaps 849 27th
Yards per play 5.4 22nd
Takeaways 15 23rd
Turnover margin -4 25th
First downs allowed 280 28th
Passing TD allowed 29 31st
Sacks 37 21st
Third down defense 48.1% 32nd
Red zone defense 70.% 29th

EQ = head coach

IQ = OC + DC

It's a working formula that has paid dividends before. Of course without the IQ part in place, you're in trouble.

At what point is it also a player issue if they teach it to you, they say it over and over in practice and yet you continuously still do it? Not saying that that’s happening, but I also can’t disprove that that’s happening. To me it’s likely both at fault. One for not getting through to the players about it and the players for not actually getting it through their heads

Listening to Cowboys and Niners interviews the last couple weeks, they had this confidence in them speaking about the matchups. With smirks on their faces. It's no wonder they were so confident, they probably saw how much of a joke on tape the Eagles were and saw a million things to exploit.

If anything I think they have been playing Ricks too much. Dude gets burned all the time

If the Eagles can't clinch a top seed because they lose to the Cardinals or Giants then I'll be hoping they get obliterated in the wild card round. Because they'd clearly be total frauds at that point and the last thing I'd want is some fluky NFCCG run to convince them that they don't need change. I'd want it to become abundantly clear that things in that building aren't right and that would be hard to ignore if they went out that pathetically. Let's hope it doesn't come to that and they win out or at least win the last 3.

At this point, I don't expect a loss in the final 3, (though a loss in any of them wouldn't shock me), but I do absolutely expect those games to be a lot harder than they should be on paper. They haven't played a solid 4 quarters by this point, and I don't expect them to ramp it up until the 2024 season, (hopefully).

On this play if we got like 1 more second  and hurts looks to aj they likely pick it up. Aj has 2-3 steps on his defender after he and smith pass each other

Hurts didn't set his feet on this... hit him in stride and Smitty has a slim chance.

Nah that's clearly Dickerson off sides posing as Kelce's Arm.

No clue, but clearly the approach isn’t working, and you’d think professional athletes could figure it out. AJB probably just doesn’t give a S because he’s not the intended receiver.

Still think smith has to break a tackle to get it. Aj has a better shot with where his defender is and no one else in the area besides that defender. Unfortunately hurts didn’t have the time to look in that direction

Is the answer 15% and this year 2%?🤣

I’m talking about the entire year. I don’t think Milton Williams has played close to as well as he was down the stretch last year. I don’t always agree with pff but his 65 grade seems pretty accurate.

Is 65 good or bad?
