What an a-hole. Some sportsmanship, instead of respect to Allen he complains about the call.

He's an entitled brat. Chiefs have had so many bad calls go their way.

Damn shouldn’t have had the spicy chicken at chik fil a last night.

Eagles should have kept Steichen anyway they could have.

Same with the Bills and Daboll. That guy is winning with Tommy Devito

Eagles or Jalen Hurts?

Seems Lawlor agrees with my in-game hot takes:

Line of scrimmage

The Eagles are built to win up front. We’ve heard that from Howie Roseman for years. That just isn’t happening right now. The OL is the most talented group in the league. They have been outstanding at times this year, but they’ve been sloppy in recent weeks. The Eagles have a ton of resources invested in the DL. That group isn’t playing at the level they need to.

Some of the OL/DL issues are on the players. Some of that is on the coaches. Sirianni and his staff need to figure out how to get back to winning the LOS. The Eagles aren’t going to do anything in the postseason if they can’t win up front. The players have to play up to their talent.

At least we know Lurie and Howie hate bad coaching and will fire coordinators after one year (Castillo, Groh).

well, I guess we would be told that none of the other players were in the read on any of the plays. So it must be the eagles.

In reality, we know its coach speak to cover for Hurts.

To be fair the eagles involvement is that the pass game is built around defenses honoring Hurts ability to run on any given play. The route concepts are more reliant on 1 on 1 wins for him to hit quickly, or else run. Theres not much decoy action or mis-direction going on. And when he isnt as much a threat to run, then the routes alone are not as difficult to defend.

The eagles do frequently run motion- with the RB. Thats about it. It doesnt seem to give them much advantage in the passing game. It looks like it tells hurts what the numbers are to determine if he will run/hand off, or pass.

Everything is very simplified. But though the eagles are taking blame for that right now, it still comes back to the QB and what hes capable of running. Theres a reason that is our offense.

The flip side to that is... at least we know that Lurie dictates certain mandates for his coaches, and we will see the same philosophy in place, even if its a different people in those positions.

The DL is 100% on coaching.  The rush scheme and coverage scheme don’t mix most times.  It’s like when the wide 9 was forced on Castillo.  If the DL is pinning their ears back soft zone coverage is not what you want if you want the QB to hold the ball.

And sometimes try to fire coordinators after one year and thankfully get talked out of it (Reich).

You can tell who the Chiefs shills are in the media by the reaction to that offside call.  It's not like the Zebras missed a tackle where a defender grabbed a player by the grill from behind, turning the players head around or when n a QB was giving himself up and was targeted by a DE so they had a bad concussion and left the game. Or the multiple times the Zebras call offside on a player who is onside because they are too stupid notice the difference between white peoples arms.

After watching the Packers slop fest, anyone who thinks this season is over needs to give their a wobble.  The NFL is not all that this year, so as the gauntlet nears its end, this teams form will improve. if they can get some humility and quit the dumb mistakes.

I do wonder if some players reaction to the criticism is the first authentic Philly experience that they've had.  You don't deliver in that Philly, you'll hear about it. Go and play in Arizona if you want milk and cooked after an ass whopping.

Good point. Forgot about that!

Frank almost got fired twice one year into a job. That's rough.

After a day to let my emotions dissipate as they always do and I settle back into reality (deadlines, managing around the holidays, hard launches in 2024, Christmas lights that needed to be re-done because wifey said they look sloppy), I've turned the page on Sunday and now think what has happened over the last two weeks is just what Sirianni needed.  He now has the challenge of helping his 1st year coordinators face disappointment, 2nd guessing, how to manage disgruntled players, and how to release themselves from the grip of familiarity/comfort in desgn and play calling.  It's an important few weeks for Sirianni.  Can the culture he has nurtured and built withstand the changes that must be made to compete for a Championship?  Again, big few weeks for him.  I'm curious to see the path it takes.

I dont think youre going to see much change schematically at all. Theres no more bye week to implement anything new. They can potentially reveal more plays out of the Goedert backfield package, the 2 RB packages, the interesting looking bunch formation that they actually ran a fairly successful WR screen out of against SF. There are packages that can expand. But its impossible to re-invent the offense or defense at this point in time.

I think the only real change you see is the team go back to being able to win close games narrowly overcoming their mistakes. Same as theyve looked all year except these last 2 weeks.

The difference in these last two weeks was fatigue. Moving further away from their short week and the most physically grueling stretch of their schedule (very physical buffalo, and SF teams, even Dallas), theyll begin to get their legs back under them.

Every ish is a learning opportunity, gotta flush it and move on.

I kinda hate that they associate such a phenomenal show with that hand waving dork, but it is what it is.

I fumbled the toilet paper roll while switching out the old one. Just have to learn from it and move on

Maybe, but I think there is more to the playbook than we see.  I think the coordinators get stuck with relying on what they feel comfortable with rather than maximizing player skill sets.  No screens to either Swift or Gainwell last week is just one example of this.  I think and hope they dive deeper.

Ah man, they cut out the rest of the clip where they call him Copernicus and tell him to walk to the back of the line with his feet and stand there with his shirt.
