Look at that... the Steelers ran an effective pick play.  Shame our WR coach can't coach our guys to do anything like that.  He's only failed at it for about 4 or 5 years now.

That was a nasty horsecollar

And you completely missed the point.  It wasn't about what was said... it was about who said it.

Whatever dude.  I could say your mom is a woman and you'd try to argue with me about how she's actually a man.

Not at all.  I made a statement, you missed the point and now you want to get snotty.    The NFL holds coaches to different standards of conduct than players.   Nothing controversial or complicated about that.

That'd be one thing if they both conducted themselves the same way but they didn't. Wasn't the same crime.  Mahomes behavior and doubling down was a far bigger embarrassment for the league than a very mild comment from Reid that he later walked back.

At least it's entertaining bad football

oof. Ugly hit on Pittman

I hope pittman is ok

Tomlin has a lifetime appointment as pitt HC

17 years as coach, and only 4 years with a playoff win.

But he also got them a ring 1-1. But yeah they need a change.

The steelers and giants are one of the few storied franchises that had success(rings) in this centruy.

0 years with a losing record.

If anything the GM is an issue.

not a td

Shane Steichen is a really good offensive coach.  What he’s done with Indy’s offense this year is impressive.

is that kurt warner?

how do you f that up?

Most of the heat at Slay is directed at the defense in general, and at him, specifically, for how he's handled the criticism of the defense.

But, the back 7 has been BAD.  As a unit, they have been horrific.  And I have a really hard time singly out one guy while the entire group is a dumpster fire, and say, "Yeah, that ONE GUY played well, it was all the other 6."  Ultimately, as a unit, they aren't good and he's part of that.

With Ringo, they might be worse, no doubt.  But, after all the effusiveness coming from Brown about how he makes him better in practice each day... let's see if Brown was blowing smoke or if there's something to that.

The wake up call needs to hit the coaching staff and the players on that side of the ball (and the rest of the roster, and coaching staff for that matter too)... not the fans.   The defense has been horrid, not just bad over the last half of the season.  They had a good night against Miami, but they didn't have to face both Waddle AND Hill, Waddle came and went in the game and was basically a complete non-factor.  Since that game, they have been a major disappointment, and then the disappointment turned into embarrassing in the last two games.   10 scoring drives for TDs out of 11 scoring drives in a row is historically bad, not just 'bad'.

Good points.  Don’t really disagree.

Not a big fan of this move.  They have 3 vets... Byard (who is still relatively new to the system), Slay (who just had surgery) and Bradberry.   And then they have a pile of 2nd year or rookie players on the back end.  Not enough NFL experience to really put this on them.

Is this a strong veteran leadership move, or a vote of no confidence for the coaching staff by the veterans?

Seems like a Pedro Cerano moment...

They've lost faith in Jobu... and it’s time to do it themselves.

The optics certainly can be concerning.

Sort of my point.  Look at what Steichen has done with that offense (with the limited talent).

I"m talking about how minshew overthrew the receiver

Then on the next play the receiver losses possession on the ground

Yep exactly.   And yet they’re 7-6 with a semi functional offense. (With 1/2 the talent the Eagles have)

As an aside; this Jacksonville State/Louisiana bowl game has been pretty entertaining too.

Hopefully rams and bills win tomorrow.

Crazy that we might get Maddox back for probably 2 quarters this year
